”Stardate 2020 dash four dash three. I’m not really sure what day it is or how long it’s been since I last saw the green grass of earth. The black abyss of space has been my companion for who knows how long. The captain sent me on a mission before the XHF Rumble and I was determined to complete it.”
Space, the final frontier…
That is where we are in this moment of time. The Kawaii Supernova rubs her head as she continues talking into the recording machine. The blinking lights of her space pod continue on as she floats in the vastness of space.
”So many people in this battle royal. Many who i’ve fought before. Many who i’ve never even heard of. The best names to ever grace this network. But all of them are fighting for something far more insignificant. Meanwhile we at the ICP have given our lives to search for and defeat the evil who controls the antimatter. Who dwells in the anti dimension.”
“If they knew a fraction of what we knew. If they saw a fraction of what we’ve seen. They’d know doing promos in ancient greek dialects or vampires would be the least of their worries. There is an ancient evil out there. A being far worse than satan or hades. It is evil incarnate, it is coming sooner than we thought and if we don’t do something about it soon, we’re all finished.”
She presses a button before a voice comes from a speaker. We can’t make out the words it says, as it’s in an alien language. She of course understands it after having a multiuniversal translating device implanted into her brain. She lets out a sigh as she continues looking out the window.
”It’s about that time,huh? Time for the rumble. A match where you throw the opponent over the top rope and make their feet hit the ground. Yes, I just described the match. The boys here don’t get the idea yet, they’ve never seen one till I came aboard.”
“Pretty funny since one of ‘em has been around since before earth! But you know this match is more than just a battle royal. More than just a match. This is for the top prize in the entire XHF Network. It’s 20 titles culminated from over a decade. Within a few years the place became a ghost town of course.”
“We have a cast of eccentric characters in the match and one ass whole. No i’m not talking about the guy who’s better than everyone else or the cat. I’ve met cat-like beings before, but not a fighting cat from earth! Heck we even have a legend like Rat Bastard and Death Trap in the match. Guys who meant something to people from generations past. If we’re honest with ourselves no one knows who or cares about these old timers anymore. They need to stay retired and leave room for the new generation.”
“You know they’re like stars. They shine bright in the night sky for only so long. Sooner or later those stars are going to burn out and die. And many here are stars getting close to a supernova. They get brighter for just a moment more. But in reality, they’ve exploded into nothingness. It’s the last remnants of their self proclaimed ‘greatness’.”
She continues to look out the window, at the passing stars and planets.
”They’re not great anymore. They’re not champion material anymore. And honestly the majority of the people here aren’t worthy of even challenging for the X*Crown ever. This is the epitome of the XHF. The pinnacle of perfection. Only the greatest hold this championship. Not jokes who are jobbers in their home promotions, not some indy darling no one’s ever heard of. This is for the top of the top. The best of the best.”
“And you bet your butt that Yuki Sakaraba is one of those names. I’ll have you know i defeated Subject 42, a man at that time who was on an undefeated streak. I made my name as the first lady of the AWF and Destiny Wrestling. The most popular star of Destiny Wrestling. I was the longest reigning tag team champion in an all womens promotion, Lethal Angles of Wrestling with my sister. Hell, I even tied the record for longest reigning Shooting Star champion at one point. I fight aliens all across the multiverse.”
“My name is Yuki Sakaraba, i am the Kawaii Supernova, and this star is just getting brighter.”
