Season Three Premiere #1 - "To New Humble Beginnings."
♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
January 26th | Memphis, Tennessee.
"Liam, don't take this loss too hard. I know it's such a big stage to lose on but you've got to learn from your mistakes. Everything's going to be okay-" Alyssa is quietly interrupted by the raised hand of The Villain, his eyes are closed but he takes a deep breath before opening them again. Liam looks right into Alyssa's eyes, shaking his head from side to side as if disagreeing with everything she's saying.
"You don't get it, 'Lyssa. I've been trying so hard since I joined AXW and guess where that got me... absolutely nowhere, I came close to being contender to the Undisputed Championship once, and the vampire beat me. You know what he did with that opportunity?" Liam pauses, asking Alyssa that very question. She takes her time to think of an answer but Liam speaks up again before she can get a word in. "Vincent Draven became AXW Undisputed Champion and on the same night... I jobbed out to big fucking Duke Kosloff, amazing isn't it? Amazing how both of us went opposite ways, he main evented that night and I opened the damn show. I hoped that tonight I could get the upper hand on that but no, I lost to Lord Dominicus, NOT EVEN THE REAL ONE!" Liam stretches his arms out in frustration. "And let's not talk about the mistreatment that Phantom Stars Wrestling has been giving me, well, I've told that cosmic cunt that tonight was my last night working for his lazy company. He can wish me good luck to my future endeavors as much as he wants, he can shove it where the sun don't fucking shine."
Alyssa hushes Liam with her soft touch on his lips. "Take it easy, you. Just relax a little and you'll be fine." she says with a calm tone to her voice, she gets back to a vertical stance and tries to drag Liam up to his feet but he doesn't budge. Alyssa leans in and kisses Liam on the cheek, she tries to move him again and although at first it seems to not work, Liam finally stands up from his seat. "It wasn't that hard now, was it? Come on, let's just go back to the hotel room. We can talk about it there." Liam, once again, doesn't budge but he does hold onto Alyssa's hand. She turns to face him and he shakes his head once more. A slight little grin on his face but it's barely visible.
"I've got a better idea... Let's go home, and never leave again." he says with that same grin on his face, he lifts up his right arm and in his hand is his signature black umbrella with the pentagram logo covered. Alyssa looks down at it and then back up at Liam's eyes, she stares into them for a few seconds and then slowly nods her head with a smile on her face, Liam's face repeats the same as hers. He looks down at the umbrella, relishing in the moments he's had with it. "Until we meet again, old friend." He drops the umbrella down onto the floor and walks away from it, back to the locker rooms to collect his belongings with Alyssa in his arms, the scene ending with a close up shot of the umbrella before we fade to black.
April 26th | Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The scene reopens a couple of months later, three months to be exact from the last seen appearance of The Villain. Not many have heard from Liam Bradley since his loss to Lord Dominicus at XHF Supremacy but a recent video has appeared in the offices of Fullmetal Wrestling Alliance with a white sticker stuck to it reading "PLAY ME - V" in black marker. The tape is brought to Jooey Grymm, one of the FWA Owners and Head of Creative, he has an old school VCR brought in with a television to match the old school aesthetic. He inserts the tape into the VCR and presses play, what he's met with is static at first but then, it's the classic black backdrop and standing in the foreground... The Villain himself. Liam Bradley, and this time, he's not dressed in a casual attire but he's sporting a black suit with a white waistcoat. The camera catches his side profile but then something raises from out of the shot, his umbrella. Liam takes notice to the camera recording him and turns his head to face it, a large smirk all over his face as he fully turns his body to face the camera.
Did you really think you could get rid of me just like that? I'm afraid, that's just not the case. I feel... reborn again, I feel brand new, I feel alive again! I've felt like I've rebirthed the one thing I always have been, I feel the surge I should have had all those months ago. ( Liam pauses for a moment. ) My apologies, where are my manners? I know my new employers and co-workers are probably watching this very carefully and closely, but I assume they already know who I am, at least Jooey and Solomon would anyway. For the many I could possibly be working with in the near distant future, please, allow me to introduce myself. My name... is Liam Bradley, most famously known as The Villain. Oh and don't you worry, I already know enough about the many of you people, I have been watching closely for a very long time. To say the least, I am somewhat impressed with what I've seen so far. I've seen some marvelous work from the FWA Professional Wrestling Champion, Duncan Aries. I've seen tremendous work from the FWA Canadian Champion, Ryu Matsumura. Everyone that I've had the chance to see much of has been very much perfect, but there seems to have been something that's missing. A man to play up to the dastardly antics of a bad guy, a man who'll take no shit from anyone and is willing to bend, break and disobey the rules as he pleases, someone that cares not for any authority figure and would rather want to spit in their faces and watch their dreams turn into nightmares... What you're missing is a fucking Villain. Well, here I am.
Liam begins to laugh to himself, he knows whoever is watching is now paying very close attention and that's exactly what Jooey Grymm is doing as he leans back on his desk, watching The Villain continue his video.
But you must be asking yourself, "Liam, why didn't you bring up Vic Wheeler? Your opponent for the Season Three Premiere!", and we all know why I never mentioned how great he is... It's quite simple, he's just not. I mean, I've watched him since I left the XHF in January and... nothing about him sparks any interests of mine, he's no good on the microphone and he sure as hell as a lack of talent in the ring. This is what we've come to already, this is how you want to begin your tenure on the Network, boys? This is ridiculous! ( Liam gestures his hand to the camera. ) I assure that my current bosses know what they're doing when they allow shit like this to tarnish their belts. I make sure what I carry is held with the highest regard, but if you feel like I haven't... Then you've got to kill me to take it from me, gents. You see, Jooey, you made a very valuable mistake when you made that match. You gave me a match for the title, and that, it will not cut it... until I realized the "perks" this thing has. Seven defenses, and I get a date with whomever holds the FWA Professional Wrestling Championship. Now that has very much sparked my interests. Nobody, since it's inception, has ever went to the seven maximum defenses needed to get that chance of a lifetime and the highest anyone has ever gotten was three. That, I can guarantee you, is where things will be changing around here. The Villain, in all of his glory, is back and better than ever. I'm not here to be made a mockery of, there's nobody that's going to make a fool out of me and Vic, I'm afraid you'll be needing to say goodbye to that Television Championship of yours soon. 19th of May, it all comes to an end and soon, you'll lay by The Villain's feet with the gold above my head in my hands.
Liam leaves the camera with one last smirk before the static appears and the screen goes to black, Jooey Grymm shakes his head, surprised with the production value brought to the table by Liam ahead of his debut. Jooey goes to eject the tape from the VCR but he's quickly startled by the sudden voice coming through the television.
Long Live The Villain.
Finally, the video tape comes to an end. Jooey ejects the tape before anything can jumpscare him again. The scene ending with a close up of the tape left on Jooey Grymm's desk in his office as we fade to black.
