Welcome one, and welcome all to this week's second edition of the Elite Eight everybody. Now by all accounts it's been another truly tumultuous week within the entire company and in turn plenty of shuffling around from top to bottom and vice versa has gone on as far as the latest poll itself is concerned. So, all things considered let's get underway with a bang shall we, as we start the countdown off with:
Of honorable mention/contention, but just missing the cut: Chris Kanyon, Harold Campbell, Tara Fenix, Sexy Jason, Randy Angel.

- Returning this week with Bastard Brews in hand and his signature carefree attitude in tow, The Bad Guy makes his official Elite Eight debut and ignites another firestorm of controversy across the XHF in the process. Although apparently receiving some early resistance to his efforts in the form of Doc, the former RWF mastermind and eternal "Joker" to Mongo's "Batman" remains on top of his game when it comes to mic skills, and as for the in-ring ability only time will tell when exactly he chooses to put it to the test once again. But in the meantime he seems more then content getting his usual laughs and satisfaction at the expense of others across our roster, and really, who could even ask for more than that alone from our old "pal" Ratty McDaddy?

- Seeking to prove a point of epically evil proportions toward MGK, the depraved warrior known as Kuroi stepped up his efforts toward securing a Night of Champions match with him yet another notch this week by, among other things, taking the fight to MGK at his own home and eventually tossing him out a second-story window onto the cold, unforgiving ground of the night below. It appears there's no depths to which this monster won't seek in order to get exactly what he wants out of MGK, and with one AJ Phoenix back in the mix as well things promise to only get more complicated in this on-going struggle of words/fists as March 29th draws closer and closer.

- Continuing his slow but sure climb up the Elite Eight in the wake of his return a week prior, the XHF's master of comedy known as Slain has most recently unveiled his plans for the Eve of Champions event itself, an Xtreme scheme to try and take what Harold Campbell cherishes most in terms of his coveted No Mercy Championship. It certainly promises to be one for the ages when these two XHF Originals lock horns with a rather unorthodox set of rules involved come Wednesday, March 18th, but even with how well experienced and equipped he is to handle Harold's onslaught both mentally and physically, will it be enough to already trigger a changing of the guard in XHF's newest title division once all is said and done? Stay tuned as this one is just heating up folks...

Venom

- Refreshed and according to himself more ready than ever to finally step back in an XHF ring come March 29th at Night of Champions VIII, The Main Event seems on a collision course with Xtreme fate, except that is, for one not so simple hurdle planted firmly in his path, that of one Charlie Velez himself. Upon returning Venom has already been presented with a sudden offer of sorts that may literally be too tempting, too enticing overall to pass up for the sake of his and his family's own financial future being secured for years and years to come. So the question is, will he in fact give in to the constant peer pressure from both his brother-in-law and the fans alike that his time as an active competitor in the limelight of the XHF has supposedly, "come and gone" according to them? Well, call it a hunch if you will, but don't count this man out just yet, he's always got a few assorted tricks up his sleeve after all, and until his signature is on the dotted line of Velez Industries this moral dilemma is far from official in Charlie's favor, and far from resolved contrary to what Venom's own wishes might be.

Charlie Velez

- Having quickly begun to take the business world by storm in the form of his Velez Industries conglomerate, Charlie seems to be taking a rather personal approach toward reestablishing himself altogether in the XHF, this coming in the form of his repeated attempts to recruit family member and former Young Guns stablemate Venom himself to his much publicized company. He's even gone to startling lengths such as displaying the first ever XHF World Champion (but now broken down and wheelchair-bound) Cobra as an example for why Venom should spare himself any further bodily harm as a full-time wrestler and trade in his tights for a business suit of his own once and for all. But still, will it be enough to convince him so, or shall his efforts be in vain? Stay tuned as time and more persistent pursuit by Mr. Velez will surely shed more light on the answer to this question one way, or the other...

- On the heels of a heinous "hit and run" style assault at the hands of bitter rival Kuroi in his own home this week, the Undisputed Icon rises up the Elite Eight countdown as he's indeed been released from the local hospital already, and more importantly he's been unleashed both mentally and physically toward his nemesis. Gradually MGK seems to be going off the deep end as all the pent-up aggression and personal disgust for Kuroi's numerous transgressions over the past few years boil over, and he smells pure blood in the water as the continuing manhunt for the beast known as Kuroi reaches full tilt day by day.

Doc

- Making his long awaited return to the newly revamped Xtreme Hardcore Federation this week, the "Boybood Dream" makes an Elite Eight debut of gargantuan proportions as he recently resurfaced with a bone chilling message of sorts towards none other than XHF Owner Mongo the Destroyer himself, a proposal for the longtime arch rivals to lock up once and for all with the rights to Doc's infamous VXW World Title on the line at Night of Champions VIII, a challenge which Mongo may well be hard pressed to refuse given his suspected desire to add VXW's own legacy to ever-growing arsenal of defunct federation championships associated with the X*Crown itself. Then, just when it seemed as though he couldn't possibly push his own luck any bit further this week, the unthinkable occurred as Doc came face to face in a heated war of words with former mentor and XHF legend Rat Bastard himself, a confrontation that in itself proved you must always, always, expect the unexpected out of the Boyhood Dream from here on out, especially as he sets his sights directly toward #1 on the Elite Eight.

- Retaining his "throne" as it were atop the Elite Eight's rankings this week, the downright evil and manipulative former World Champion has continued proving through a mounting pile of unsuspecting victims that no mercy will be shown, and no physical well-being whatsoever will be spared once he and Tara settle their laundry list of issues with one another come Night of Champions VIII live on Pay-Per-View. With a truly appalling and repulsive backstage bloodbath on former protege Platinum mere days ago it's become crystal clear this man has no friends OR personal allies anymore within the XHF roster, only despised enemies as the clock continues ticking down bit, by bit, by bit until March 29th and the golden opportunity for his ultimate No DQ conquest since returning, arrives.
