Hey, so I was joking with Cross the other day and then got into thinking about it and talking with Jeremy (Kentucky) in the discord and what would you guys think of us opening up a section designed to help those who are less experienced or entirely new to efedding? With like articles that have tricks and trips and like maybe practice and feedback areas? Maybe some designated "professors" and whatnot?
Also, uh.....how do we get people new to fedding?
Also also, specifically developmental fed?
I'm just spitballing as it comes to mind. I know we did some like writing stuff and feedback stuff in the old XHF but most of our training was cyberbullying (and actual personal mentoring from experienced members + cyberbullying).
What are your guy's thoughts on this?

Do it!! I request a whole thread for the discussion of the term "good role play". Because that is so subjective and open to interpretation.
Also, depending, tumblr, AO3 (archive of our own), writing press (i think, it's the OC fanfiction) have writers who would probably join for the storylines but may not know the difference between (insert wrestling term here) and (insert different wrestling term).
Tumblr is easy to find and type directly to the audience... idk about the other two but most of them are on tumblr anyway. BUT if you head down that rabbit warren, you would need to include info on various wrestling terms.

I really like the idea of this. Not only is it helpful toward people, but it's also motivating. Feedback is always pleasant to get and when the feedback is positive or constructive, at least for me, it makes me feel happy just knowing someone read my rp and gave their honest opinion.
While I am a roleplayer at heart and have been roleplaying since 2015, I'm still new to efedding. I could really use this myself. I'm still pretty new, like... I've only been here for little under a full year. I have much to learn still.

E-W tips makes sense. I used to know a guy named Jeff Keegan that did a lot of them, but much like the rest of my closed flash / non-board peeps (dont get me started on board feds) their output has kind of eroded.
As for the intake of fresh blood: might I suggest an introduction header above announcements that actually walks people through the XHF board? I know guys who have been active XHF members for over a year that find it too intimidating/overwhelming/confusing to mix it up with the rest of the group (see: swat). As it is, I can't imagine guys stumbling in here that aren't being walked through by existing members.

As it is, I can't imagine guys stumbling in here that aren't being walked through by existing members. I've mentioned this before and it's great that others are saying it too. While all feds have their welcome/ landing pages, we should have one as a whole for the XHF. I've been browsing and mostly other sites all have one main spot where you begin, or you receive a very helpful DM when creating a profile on the boards. This will be super helpful to pointing new arrivals to the right spot, or if nothing else opening up the boards as a forum outside of feds even. Also to further Mongo's first post, I'd be down to help with this. I've already put together so helpful bits for AWF but would like to learn about the bigger picture. Plus, all the network admins love me. This is true.

Alright, so from this feedback what I'm thinking is that we make like an Information/Assistance section above the announcement section.
That'd feature like some introductions to the Network to help those new to the format of the board (and a Q&A thread). It'd also have an "efed university" so to speak with some different sections like efedding 101, rping, character development, fed ownership, and feedback etc
We might be able to fold the talent hub into another subforum there just because I don't want the front page more crowded than it already is.
How does that sound?

I'd be down to help. And if you did want to do a bootcamp/ training fed/ draft kinda thing I could come up with some ideas. Maybe a place for new arrivals to post a promo or two advertising themselves, and from there we guide them to the right fed.
