I've had a lot of experience y'all. And so have some of the other owners here. If you've got questions, we've got answers!

Not so much a question as more a comment (and a little bit of piggy backing):

Your fed, if you want it to be successful, should really mean something. Look at every other fed out there. You may be looking at them and thinking, "Well, to be the best, I should learn from the best." Yes and no. Learn the ethic. Learn the effort it takes to keep something running. Learn how to handle conflict.

But as far as what the fed means?

Be different.

There are a million "Xtreme Hardcore Glass Breaking CZW And NJPW Had a Babby" Fed, and I roll my eyes at them all. They're overdone. They might be interesting if you're watching them on TV, sure, but even after a while, that will get boring. Everyone wants something a little different, but people want something that actually means something to you.

People love feds for different reasons and that's OK. It's actually a huge disagreement Seth/Reck and I had. I valued story more than he had, but I honestly believe it's a huge appeal of AWF. It has a story you won't find anywhere else.

Find something that separates you from the rest and means something to you. That's what will separate you from the rest.

I don't want to be cynical but if you want to find feds that don't work, message me. I'm not trying to be a dick. I promise. But finding what doesn't work can help you find what actually does work. There are bad fed heads out there.

Mongo is on the ball though. Motive + Ability + Effort + Inspiration is a huge effort of it.

Also, find a team of people who complement you. No, not say nice things about you. That's compliment, and none of my admins say nice things about me. (Mongo's right. It's REALLY a thankless job.) The reason I love my admin team is because they're all very different from me and can fill in what I can't. (Teeps is a fucking genius, Bailey is thoughtful, wonderful and inspired up the yin yang, Draven is amazing with conflict management, and Ryan has real world experience who also loves taking on projects with Bailey.)

And treat fed heading like you'd treat a job. Yeah. I joke around a lot on Discord and can act silly, but people know when I mean business and they know I'd treat the fed the way I'd treat a job.
