First and foremost for mine, when booking for an efed, try and remember, its Wrestling first and writing second. We are Wrestlers who write, not writers who wrestle.
If you and your members can wrap your head around that, and not who had the best promo that week, then you can look to book some pretty cool stuff. You want to be working WITH each other, not AGAINST.
The quality of the promo's is important, and should determine who is at the top of the card and who is getting the big pushes, but not every single match result on the card.
And as a bonus, for those people who can't understand why they lost because their promo's were obviously better than anyone elses and always are and all their friends tell them so in chat rooms when they seek validation for their loss, well, they can go to bed secure in the knowledge that they are indeed the best writer, and the fed just doesnt book that way. (rolls eyes)
After you got that settled, great, your on your way. Look ahead to your next big show, and work out who you want to be facing off there. Then, work backwards, setting up to the big showdowns at the ppv. Monitor the promo's along the way, and whoever is the best over the whole duration to the ppv, they get the win on that show.
Repeat.
Always remember. Its WRESTLING. (and we jsut happen to write). Does the person with the best suplexes and arm drags and drop kicks win every wrestling match? Does the person who cut the best promo that night before their match win every wrestling match? Does the person who puts the most butts in the crowd win every match?
NO! It's a combination of everything that determines results.
So, when you lose a match, don't get your panties in a bunch and rage quit and think the world is falling apart, make it work for you, roll with the story, put all your thoughts about the loss into your promo's instead of into the chat rooms. You will quickly find yourself losing less and less.

I agree with most of what has been written here.

Another thing to consider is if you have a story you want to plan with a character, consult the operator of the character. You may not know where they intend to take a character in the future or all the facts about a newer guy. Also informing people of a plan in advance, even if your fed is explicitly stated as having some angled elements and admin booking of matches, is always a nice idea as it can prevent some nasty consequences.
I hate using this as an example (no I don't ...) but when Mongo booked DT to lose his title in the old XHF to "remotivate" me since DT had gotten stale as a heel asshole and needed a change, he had DT get literally buried under 8 men in a match he had me RP hard for and basically killed all the momentum I had. Instead of motivating me to come back with a new attitude or what have you ... I basically shut down since at the time I didn't have a handle on where DT was going and this wasn't organic to my character. I couldn't effectively roll with it and it's taken essentially from 2005 to 2019 to get DT back to where I can embody the character again.
Always remember that while booking in the interest of the fed and the stories that will entertain the most readers is important you don't want to alienate your hard working RPers.

BUT THE PATHOS DT! THE PATHOOOOOOOOOS!
(Plus for those 8 men it was a great storyline for them)

It worked. You're now his hardest working admin. As much as I love seeing Mongo getting cucked, he cucked you hard this time, big boy.

It wasn't to improve my admin work, a) I wasn't an admin at the time and b) I always work hard on the organizing, it's what I do.

at the time I didn't have a handle on where DT was going and this wasn't organic to my character. here is the thing, if you didnt have a handle on where you were going, you should have lost, and what wasnt organic to your character? losing? all wrestlers lose
and on another note, why know in andvance you are going to lose, it takes all the fun and excitement and adrenaline out of reading a show / match

Not the losing part. The crazy angle they used. And to be more specific I didn't know where they wanted me to go. Our was just here's this absolute momentum destroying loss now react but also no rematch or feud for you

I had a habit of throwing monkeywrenches into character plans to see how they handled it. Sometimes it gets a no sell, sometimes it gets rolled with into something great. Other times, I get bitched at and someone decides to quit lol thems the breaks I guess at being a heavy handed fed head.

That's just it. I didn't always talk to someone before just doing something in a segment.

From my experience efeds have largely been about communication and cooperation. Once you start mucking up people's plans without notice you tend to create distrust.

Oh I understood all too well and stopped doing it to people whom I knew for sure couldn't handle it.
Well, that is, I also quit fed heading so I quit doing it totally lol
