"Arik Comes Home"
-2:08 PM (Central Time) on September the 19th-
-The 12PM flight from Tokyo to Boston-
[It's been 2 long years almost, but due to the contractual agreement between Xtreme Hardcore Federation LLC and world-renowned workhorse Arik Kaige, Arik is coming back to Beantown. But the question is, is Arik Kaige ready for Boston... and is Boston ready for Arik Kaige?]
[The scene unfolds on the noon flight from the Orient to the city of Boston. Due to the length of the flight, despite it being an afternoon flight, most of the passengers on the airliner are sleeping or on their way to slumber. But in the back of the plane, cramped into a window seat in coach sits Arik Kaige, newest XHF signee, muay thai practitioner and all around nice guy. He has a computer in front of him, seeing as long flights like this are usually good about allowing technology. He has a Word document open, he is writing something...]
"It really is shocking, going back there. I got to the point where I really never thought I would ever fight in front of people from the States. But I guess I feel it, I feel like I'm ready, ready to bring the humble sport of professional wrestling to a new level. No longer will it be a glitz-filled form of pageantry, but instead the time honored tradition that it always has been. These guys, I don't know any of them, but I can be honest, I bring a different game to the table. Aggression is coming back West, the sport has fallen to a new low, and it is up to Aggressive Arik to return this warriors code to its rightful place in the world.
It really is a righteous feeling though, coming home to something familiar, something old after experiencing so much new. This is home, and once I step inside the coliseum of the ring again, I feel like I'll be even more home. These feelings are not feelings of arrogance and are not founded by any seed other then merely expressing the joy to fight. I'm eager to see the athletes that this new company presents, because I always welcome a challenge on any level.
The techniques and my repertoire have only grown since I came here years ago. I feel like a new wrestler, the Orient really was a gift and a pleasant place to work and hone my skills. I've never had to move faster, jump higher and work harder. It's refreshing to sit and think about how you are chiseled from stone and only the people with true respect for the sport are the ones that can keep up.
And when I think about respect, sometimes it's refreshing when you don't hear an audience's collective voice, but you hear the reaction at high points and you know that they are attentive, completely captivated at the spectacle of human destruction. That's respect, to watch another transform in front of you and become this indescribable force. It's really something unique, that can only be attained in the combat game. This is why I do what I do, for all of these reasons.
I continue to work hard, and it continues to pay off. And it'll only intensify from there, so long as I keep my focus and keep to my routines, I feel like I will be invincible. But that is a difficult level to attain, so the road has to begin sometime I guess.
No... it's already begun. I can feel it. I can feel progress.
Get ready XHF... because I'm coming home, and I'm bringing the thunder with me.
Aggressive Arik, signing off."
[Arik saves the document and closes the computer. It is important to keep his thoughts flowing out to somewhere instead of letting his mind dam itself up before his big opportunity. With the mental outpouring complete, Arik decides upon a quick siesta, and he puts his hood up, and tries to get some sleep.][/b]
