-It's been 3 days since I found out that I would be making my debut in RFW. The company owned by Adams Enterprises - or rather, the people who gave me my start. Who opened their doors to me; allowed me to dip my toe into this industry. The ignition, needed in order to showcase to the world what I can do in the ring.
For that, I cannot thank them enough. It means everything to me, to be getting this chance. To be able to step between the ropes and advertise what Aidan Seacreast can do between those ropes. Give you all a taste of what will follow as just as RFW will, I shall make my mark upon this industry.-
[These words are spoken, as the scene slowly opens up from a black screen to what appears to be a gym. Or, to be more specific, the "Adams Wrestling Academy" gym. Based on Susan Street, only 750 metres away from the location of the first ever airing of "Shockwave". That location of course being the Eltham Leisure Centre.
A soft smile is across Aidan's face, as he sits atop a steel chair, a towel draped across his neck. An image that is all too common for him. Has been ever since he started training at the gym, 2 years ago.
Training, that has helped mold him into the wrestler he is currently. Of course, he still needs polish; is *very* much considered a prospect in the grand scheme of things, but to him - that shall come in time. As he grows and develops in the ring.]
-This week, it all begins against an opponent I know *very* well. A fellow trainee within this very gym. A man who has been my sparring partner in the past. A man who I teamed with during exams. Kallum Wright.-
[Taking a breath, Aidan glances upwards. Knowing that this week, he must put his friendship with Kallum to one side; focus on ensuring that everyone realises that *he* is the number 1 prospect.
That he *is* the man whose name should be on the marquee. The example used, whenever the Academy is advertised.]
-Yes, Kallum. I know, this isn't ideal for either of us. I know that just like you, I'd rather *not* have to stand toe to toe against my best friend. Well, my best friend in this academy anyway. At the same time, this is a *perfect* opportunity for us.
A chance for the both of us to go out there; give the fans a little sample of what they can expect from us. A taste, of just why we are the 2 that have been trusted with showcasing the academy. With being *the* ignition for RFW.
With us on the stage, not just for those in attendance. Or even those watching at home. For the *entire* world to look us; realise that we *are* the future. That we are the names that their eyes should be cast upon.-
[Feeling the intensity growing in his voice, Aidan takes a deep breath. He's always been passionate about wrestling. Ever since he first watched it on TV as a five-year-old with his father. He *knew* this was the career path he wanted to go down. That he wanted to become a wrestler and blaze a trail throughout the wrestling world. Much as the owner of RFW had done.
In fact, it was Scotty who Aidan first watched on TV. It was Scotty that inspired Aidan to train. To hopefully follow in his path, much like many Australians.
Leaning back in the chair slightly, Aidan looks around the gym. Remembering the moments him and Kallum shared here. Both attempting to attain the same status. To be top of the class.]
-Just as we wanted to when we were busting our guts. When we were running the ropes of the training ring.-
[Aidan points in the direction of the ring.]
-You remember those moments, don't you? I do, very fondly. This Friday though, we must cast it all to one side and fight one another. It'll be just like it was in that very ring, only on a grander scale. I'm ready for it. Are you?-
[Upon asking that question, Aidan pushes himself up.]
-I guess I'll find out, Friday.-
[End].
