EWE ROOKIES CUP '91 - NIGHT 1
Thursday, Week 2, January 1991

BACKSTAGE;
Nice one Julie, Now I have to deal with drunks and I feel bad for not booking you.
SHOW REPORT;
-- The show started with Red Bastien, and his goons, Samu & Steve Wright coming into the ring hyping the main-event. They taunted the fact that the "Drunk" Irish has no friends and will have a handicap tonight where he will be destroyed

-- Fit Finlay answered introducing Koko B. Ware as his partner for tonight main-event. Both teams stare and Bastien says they have no chance tonight.
-- Cross Recoba came into the ring. He hyped his match against Donut Man and threw some words at Adam Sanders who he is eager to meet on the next round.
-- In a open match, Cross Recoba aggressiveness granted him the win over Donut Man.
-- Zézé Taborda was backstage and threw some harsh words against the Pirate mostly bragging of destroying his non-valuable treasure since he hasn't been cursed like Sailer suggested and tonight the crowd will see who is the best out of the 2 wrestlers. Sailer interrupted "THE WRATH OF NEPTUNE FALLS UPON YOU, DYING LEGEND!". Both man stared and Taborda left scared.
-- Donut Man and Kira are in the ring. After the now usual routine of giving donuts to the crowd Donut Man psyches Kira up by feeding him donuts and saying that he has to show the world what DonutManiacs are all about! Although both got a bit scared as Johnny Angel came out.
-- Johnny Angel dominated the bout and destroyed Kira Izumi (as per usual).
-- Olympia Hartauer came into the ring as a Cocky American Babe. She called out, her partner Klondyke Kate. Both kissed each other in a provocation to Shinigami and Tracey Kemp who came out and replied saying that was disgusting and showed how a real kiss looked like.
-- Women's tag team wrestling took place. In a open match and for the crowds delight, Shinigami pinned Olympia Hartauer to take the victory.
-- Red Bastien came into the ring after the match and announced that Shinigami & Klondyke Kate will fight on Night 2 for the EWE Women's Title.
-- Nukillear went into Red Bastien in a rush. He said that he has lost his power potion and can't fight Benoit tonight. Red Bastien moves the match to the Night 2 but he will ask for a favor from the Mad Scientist. The image cuts.
-- Da Vacant throws a mysterious promo with his robotic voice, promising to destroy Adam Sanders and winning the Rookies Cup. Once again someone turns the camera off without being seen.
-- One of the hottest feuds in EWE Clashed tonight. Taborda and The Handsome Sailer had a lot of tension and at the 6 minute mark the match fell apart with both man brawling on the outside. Max Ward disqualified both man due to count-out and they kept of fighting to the back. Not caring at all.
-- The Rising Star, Rashid Alzar hyped his upcoming match vs. Rhapsody. Also took some time to taunt Eric Algar saying that he will advance and the Grappling Savant will lose agains Hermann and this is only step #1 to prove his superior status.
-- Fit Finlay and Koko B. Ware hype the main-event by training moves on each other and tag team tactics. They also talk about their finishers and how they will use them on Wright and Samu.
-- A weird match. Adam Sanders was punched and dropkicked the air several times and it seems that broke Da Vacant powers in the ring. He managed to apply This is Awkward and winned seconds later. Weird.
-- Rhapsody had a interview backstage, he didn't talked other than "Psicosis... Rhapsody Double Moonsault!" was quite good actually.
-- What a match! Rashid Alzar and Rhapsody gave their all in the ring. But Rhapsody was distracted by Psicosis theme and Rashid found the opening for The Descention and got the win.
-- The Pitbulls were getting ready for a 2 vs. 4 Handicap Match. But Takano came out and said Gedo and Jado don't want to destroy them before their match on Night 2 so it is going to be a tag team match. He introduced Goro Shimura who made his debut walking to the ring like a crazy.
-- A Hardcore match took place. Which wasn't good for the audience. Goro Shimura had a strong display alongside Takano. But The Pitbulls managed to comeback and applied their Aided Superbomb onto Goro Shimura and won the match! Takano left without caring about Goro Shimura who just lost on his debut.
-- Eric Algar was hyping his match against Hermann when he was interrupted by the Tower of Power who said that he doesn't care if he is The Grappling Savant. He will destroy him!
-- The bout was very contested between the two wrestlers and Psicosis used a lot of under-handed tactics to get the control of the match. Rhapsody came into the ringside and distracted Psicosis. Payback! Ian McGregor took advantage of a distracted Psicosis and got the win!
-- After the match, Psicosis and Rhapsody brawled each other to the back!
-- Red Bastien is backstage with his goons and he psychs them up for their match. The major target is Finlay and they have to take him out so he doesn't compete for the EWE Supreme title.
-- This was a very contested match with Eric Algar giving his all in the ring and almost got the win. But Rashid Alzar came to the ringside to evaluate the match and although it didn't distract Eric Algar it certainly made him lose his focus. "The Tower of Power" managed to take advantage of it and connected his elevated Powerbomb for the win.
-- Fit Finlay and Koko B. Ware made a special entrance.
-- The Main-Event was on. And we had 17 minutes properly slow built of action. Red Bastien interefered a lot during the match and threatened Max Ward of being fired. At the 17 minute mark, Red Bastien used Finlay's Mace to attack him on the ringside before a hot tag with Koko B. Ware who was left at the mercy of Samu and Steve Wright. Steve connected an Overhead Releasing German Suplex that was followed by a Samu Diving headbutt.
-- Fit Finlay recovered and fought the 3-man stable aiding Koko B. Ware in the process. Red Bastien ran away and said this won't stay like this. Finlay really has to think of something.
