I’m sure it’s less to do with you being a shit writer and the bookers enjoying Rat more. I haven’t read your overheated RP works but you don’t seem to have lost a step in your SWAT RPs. As I’ve told you before I wouldn’t have wanted to book your SWAT match because all four of those RPs from you and DT were top notch. If you truly want feedback tho let me know and I’ll read yours and Rats RPs and let you know what I think.
Edit: was pointed out I said boomers instead of bookers. Apparently my autocorrect doesn’t like the term bookers or knows something about Dylan the rest of us don’t.

Alright, so first off Caff your request wording was extremely disrespectful to your recent opponents and you should apologize.
Secondly, I actually read this match because it was that close- so I can give you some constructive feedback on it.
Before that though, this is a teachable moment to remind folks all over the whole board and efedding world: Most of the time when you lose a match, it's not because you did something wrong. It's because the other guy did better.
But anyway, let's take a look at your rps and I'll try to give you some notes from memory (I didn't do a live reading).
RP 1: Caff on his Roof
From a structure standpoint, I liked this. One of the things that gave you the edge in the Rumble is that you're willing to always try new styles and keep things fresh. You went pure dialogue and did it really well.
From a conceptual standpoint? Ehhhhh. I mean it's fine, and you finished well. But you had Caff lowkey thinking of jumping off his roof after going on a bender because he lost. Like I get that he's down about it (rightfully so, I mean, DT [joke]). But look at this from the bigger picture. DT suggested that Caff's turn was insincere and when we find Caff next he's pouting because losing a match lost him the popularity he wanted and now he's gonna not-exactly-threaten-to-kill-himself. That sort of proves that idea right. If Caff was just in it for the glory- and when that glory he's gone he's sad, then there's not really been any interior change yet, now has there?
Having said that, that was only like the first half of the promo, the second half was incredibly solid with Caff's agent building him back up again. You know how to land the plane.
The trash talk was expected. You called Rat old and pointed out that he loses a lot. All of his opponents say that. Sure enough in his next promo he noted that he was eliminated early at CTA but won the long-game so he turned a loss into a win. I'm noting this now because it'll come up next promo.
Now, Caff's in a really unstable headspace. And that's fine. We see him trying to get away from being "that guy" but also he still has the cravings that "that guy" version of him used to fulfill. But it absolutely opens Caff up for being called disingenuous, which both of your most recent opponents have done and your responses to it have been....ehhhhhh?
I read this rp though and though that NOW is the perfect time for Caff and Seth to either fight or become a team. Both are into the booze and both are in really weird crossroads in life. The will they/won't they tension is hot.
But ultimately, face Caff who supposedly cares about others now being a sad sack over a loss is not good. One of the times when Danny Ray lost a title, he spent an rp crying to God in prayer (literally) about it. And Caff is sitting on the side of his roof wondering if anyone would come to his funeral because he lost a match. They read real similar to me.
RP 2: Caff and the Cancer Kid
So when I saw where this was going I didn't know if I should give you bonus points for the balls to do it or minus for lack of taste. I decided just to go with it and you didn't really disappoint.
Having said that, I think this promo would have done better in a Rumble or other multi-man setting. The reason is that Rat's first rp was laser focused on Caff. And he used the material you gave him in the promo to come back at you with some fresh insults and also point out how insincere Caff came off after just one loss.
Your response was to.....basically ignore anything Rat wrote. In fact, you hardly talked about the match (which I get because of the cool emotion and natural feel of the conversation) but when your opponent is bulls-eyeing you- you can't sleep on them. Instead you went back to the "old and lose a lot" well even though Rat already covered that. Don't sleep on your opponents man, especially in a high-level match. I chewed another guy out about it a couple weeks ago. My entire 6 month reign as X*Crown Champ (defending every week if not twice a week) was built on giving slept-on guys some spotlight and putting over their gimmicks. You might wanna check out Zoran's stuff- he puts a lot of interest in his opponents while still acting like brushing them off. It's an art and a balance that takes effort to get just right. Instead of countering Rat's mastermind stuff, you agreed to use your finisher (and a move often mocked as your only move) to put him away. Great for the match writer but I mean, that's not really anything special.
So I guess the tldr is that structurally and stylistically you were doing great, and I love seeing what sort of new stuff you come up with. But content-wise you 1. Are still getting the hang of face Caff and 2. Didn't take your opponent seriously.
When Jinder Mahal became WWE champ everyone was shocked because he had suddenly jumped from being a jobber. But JBL kept reminding the viewers that any match on any day could go either way. It's the same in fedding. All it takes is for the other guy to win- even if you do a good job (which you did).
