Sweet Roxy sits down at the poolside at the large back area of the Dollhouse Dreamhouse. She wears a black and white bikini, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin. It is truly a warm afternoon, but the rays of the sun do not burn as much anymore as she stares directly at it through her brown sunglasses. She taps her feet on the water. Enjoying. Relaxing in this off day.
???: Are you listening to me, Roxy?
Except it wasn’t an off day. She had just come home from a LAW event and she wanted to relax, but Vanessa has been waiting to give her the usual lists of what must be accomplished this week. She sits at the reclined chair near the swimming pool with her legs crossed, wearing a blue top and a black pencil skirt. She looks very professional, and it’s understandable that she wants to look the part, but Sweet Roxy feels a little different about it.
Sweet Roxy: Totally… I agree.
Vanessa: Alright. Well, you have that Halloween photoshoot to go to tomorrow. I’ll pick you up at 7 am?
Sweet Roxy: Isn’t it a little too early for that? We’re only starting September.
Vanessa: Well, your mother insisted that we start now because The Vendetta Family is endorsing five Halloween events in October, and three of them are from New York. I think your pink hair will really pop since you’ll be a precious candy girl!
Sweet Roxy: I’ll be here.
It sickened her, the idea that everything is already planned and decided for her. But what sickened her more is the fact that she let this happen for the longest time. At first, it was all fun and games. She liked the attention. She loved to be hated. She admired what her mother was and thought she would be walking the same path, but now it’s clear that she’s nothing but a poster child, someone made to look good regardless of the ugly truth. And she is no longer interested in playing this game.

Vanessa pulls over and walks out of the car, this time wearing blue jeans and yellow top. She has her cellphone in one hand and a blue notebook in the other. She walks in the doors of the Dreamhouse as two security members hold the doors open for her. Vanessa has her phone dialing, and there was faint ringing sounds, but no one seemed to pick up on the other end.
Vanessa: That Roxy… She probably stayed up all night again. What a hopeless little girl.
Vanessa slowly walks up the stairs, going to the second floor where Sweet Roxy’s room is. She knocks once and there was no answer.
Vanessa: Roxy?.... Roxy?... It’s time to go.
Vanessa knocks again, louder this time, hoping to get the young girl’s attention. She turns the doorknob, and it wasn’t at all locked. She walks in and finds only a single lampshade barely lit on a wooden end table. The curtains are down and it’s been dark inside. She turns on the main lights and the scene reveals scattered clothes all over the floor. The blanket on her bed is nearly slipping down to the floor. Her electronics remained on, and her cellphone is left on the bed. Different thoughts went in Vanessa’s head -- has Sweet Roxy been robbed? Has The Golden Child been kidnapped? How will she explain this to Queen Claudia?
But as Vanessa was looking more for clues as to where Sweet Roxy might have gone to, she notices a folded paper near Roxy’s pink laptop. And it all suddenly became clear.
“Hey Vanessa! It’s Roxy here! If you can pass along the message to mother that I’m duper super done with acting like a five-cent whore in front of my fans, that would be great! And this Halloween Photoshoot that you’re all wanting me to be a part of? Cancel it! The video shooting for RoXtreme Workout Video 3? Scratch that too! Cancel all of our plans this week and the week after and the week after because just so you know, I was born a wrestler, not a goddamn model who people suspect pukes out all of her food just to look skinny. I work out and train tirelessly, and I want the world to know that. I am not just a wrestler, I am a fighter and a warrior who intends to survive this line of business without your disgusting claws on me. Don’t worry, I’ll be responsible for myself in LAW… I am the World Champion there, after all, no thanks to Claudia. Because I’ve just realized that nothing I do will ever be good enough for her. So fuck it! I’m done! And I don’t care what she does with that information. If she wants to punish me further or cut me off of her will despite being her only child, that’s fine! But don’t ever think that anyone will stop me from making a name for myself the way that I should have done it from the beginning. I’ll show the world just how great I am, and I will endure losses and heartbreaks without you. The same way I will make me a success of my name and none of you will get a thanks from me for it… I hope you will see it my way soon, but if not, then TRY AND STOP ME!
Toodles!
-Roxy xoxo -”
Vanessa froze. Sweet Roxy has always cooperated with any plans and the by-the-book schedule that the marketing team of iDoll Ent has for her. She did not anticipate that she would throw away something so valuable. She calms herself down before she quietly leaves the room.

Roxy sits at the back of a minivan with her arms crossed as she looks at the buildings she passed by from the window. She made a bold move against her mother to abandon the Dollhouse Dreamhouse that so many young women only aspire to live in. She is nervous, yet excited. She is doubtful, yet confident. She couldn’t stop her own mixed emotions, it almost made her vomit. Or maybe it was just the motions of the small red van and the person driving it.
Roxy: Do you think I made the right decision?
Roxy then suddenly looks toward the driver’s seat to see Kenji, her childhood best friend and bodyguard, controlling the wheel and driving Roxy to whereever she asks to go. It’s his job, and he is more than happy to do it.
Kenji: Well, I think you made A decision...
Kenji chuckles.
Roxy: I'm serious!
Kenji: Well, I think you made A decision...
Kenji chuckles.
Roxy: I'm serious!
Kenji: I won’t tell you if you’re making the right decision or not, that’s all up to your heart right there. Do you even know where you’re going from here?
Roxy: If you’re talking about the place where I’m going, then yeah. If you’re asking exactly where I want to be, no. But that’s the point of this. I need to prove that I can do things on my own.
Kenji: And this Rebel Rock Wrestling place, do you know anything about it?
Roxy: No. I signed a contract with them and they were very happy to have me, and I even have a Championship match as my debut. If things go well, I could become Ride the Lightning Champion on the first show!
Roxy takes a deep breath.
Roxy: Fifteen minutes. Fifteen minutes is all it would take. It’s all I need to capture the Championship, and Candy, I’ve been through cage matches that REALLY put my well-being at risk... I’ve been through multi-person matches that tested my resiliency... A fifteen-minute scramble match might put me in harms way in a short time given the pressure of it all, but it shouldn’t be as bad as the worst things that I’ve endured! And listening to their threats and warnings… They want to hurt me and break me and dominate me… It’s exhilarating. My hands are shaking, my feet just want to jump and run, I can’t contain my excitement because I want this match right this second. But there’s a few days to go. I can wait.
Kenji: Imagine that. Sweet Roxy -- Champion of the Rebels.
Roxy: I don’t think I’ll be going with Sweet Roxy anymore. It had a nice ring to it, but I was just an amateur wrestler when they chose that name for me. I need to do things differently this time around, Candy. I need to be respected as an athlete and the only way to do that is to be less flashy and more direct. I’m thinking Roxy should just be fine.
The car pulls over. They have reached their destination. Just outside of an airport.
Kenji: Alright. I’m only a call away if you need protection and if things get out of hand. And more importantly, I hope you’re ready to kick some ass! Just remember that you haven’t worked with these people before, but I’m sure you’ll know what to expect. Hope you can handle being a rebel!
Roxy: Silly Candy… I’ve always been a rebel and a traitor in Mother’s eyes.
Roxy grabs her bags and opens the door of the minivan.
Roxy: I think I’ll do just fine.
Roxy shuts the door and walks towards the gates of the airport, carrying her bags. Off to a new chapter!
