I don't want to micromanage too much because at the end of the day, it's not a job. We are doing this for fun and I want all of you to have fun doing this. But there are still some guidelines in place for characters and roleplays that are in place so as to fit the kind of promotion I want to present. With that being said, here are some guidelines :
1. Realistic Characters : We are trying to present wrestling as a sports (and teleportation and choreographed spots are not my definition of sports based presentation). So to fit that, you have to ensure that your character is realistic and believable. And everything you do with your character and storylines need to be believable. In short, "We are not going to insult our viewer's intelligence", as some guys who keep insulting the intelligence of the casual audience would say.
2. General Segments : Segments will generally go down through interviews. You can ask for TV time if you have something to say. All PPV matches and feuds will be promoted mainly through interview promos as well.
3. You can't have Cameras everywhere : For instance, we won't put cameras everywhere backstage, especially not in the locker room because we respect the privacy of our competitors. There are still going to be security cameras placed in certain places to ensure a safe working environment. But don't worry, cameras won't capture any evil plans you make in the locker room.
4. For Cinematic Segments : Unless you are one of the top stars, we won't spend our money and resources into your ideas for cinematic segments. And when we decide to grant you access to our camera guys and production guys for your own project, you can't use any of your rivals or people you share no kind of friendship with into those because that would be weird wouldn't it?
5. Wrestling Not Sports Entertainment : In case that isn't clear from the above points already, we are doing Professional Wrestling not Sports Entertainment. Professional Wrestling is presented like a Combat Sports with blood feuds and Championships that define your position as the top guy in the promotion. Sports Entertainment on the other hand, is presented like a Soap Opera with a lot of liberties. They can afford to "Insult the intelligence" of their viewers.
6. Base Product : Take old school wrestling as the base product. But don't go full 80s with it. It's an old school style promotion set in 2020. Take Dusty Rhodes' version of NXT as an example.
7. Most Importantly : Have fun.
