The ReVenant Neo James Carner is seen standing in front of a XHF logo adorned banner with his hands on his hips and his attire adorned in ring gear. AWF interviewer Charles Akiyama is standing by with correspondence with the ReV, a big smile on his face. Charles begins his introduction with a calm cool head, his words flow smooth like a hot knife through frozen butter.
Charles: "Greetings and salutations XHF faithfuls, I'm here with Neo James Carner ahead of week 4 of The End Of Days Tournament where he's looking to square up with two other teams for the coveted bronze medal in a tag team match to determined the third place candidate for the Tag Tourny! Neo James Carner, what are your thoughts going into this, how do you feel the ReVs chances are going into this?"
Charles turns his attention to his interview subject. Neo James Carner has a very flat emotional response, not the usual trademark calculating Cheshire grin that covers his face. Neo arches a brow, leans in close to the microphone without breaking his gaze with Akiyama.
NJC: "I don't give a shit."
Neo stares unblinking for several moments as Charles seems to be waiting for a follow up response. Neo doesn't give it. Charles clears his throat as he brings the mic back to his own face.
Charles: "B-but, you guys could win third place! Future title shot for the tag team titles."
Neo shrugs with enough non chalant energy that it could power a nuclear submarine. Charles seems baffled and confused.
NJC: "I-D-G-A-F."
Charles looks inquisitive, not exactly sure what the acronym means. Neo rubs his forehead in frustration.
NJC: "I don't give a fuck. I could care less, the amount of fucks given is zero. I have a match that night that actually means something, I have no time to worry about this frivolous nothing match. A future title shot? These teams are thrown together horse shit teams with no pulse or future. Top Of The Class assumes we're flops after we sell them as an actual threat and yeah, we're the bad guys. Oh fucking well, the tag tournament stopped being interesting the moment we weren't in the finals. Nobody cares about any of the tag teams that will fade into obscurity once this tournament is over. Ergo, I don't give a fuck."
Neo yawns loudly and obnoxiously, the kind of thing that would grind someone's gears if done right in their ear. Charles' ear to be precise.
NJC: "So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go focus on a match that actually has meaning and will actually maintain and keep a healthy division alive. Neo James Carner doesn't care about trying his hardest for third place, The ReVenants don't care about a tag division that doesn't want to be saved. We worry about real legitimate things, like winning titles, not participation trophies. No better luck next time, I'll just settle with my here's a third place trophy match, which only exists so we can decide which team has lost the most. This match serves only to harm and hinder a division that's beyond giving a shit about. We tried, oh well, enjoy your pointless match in a pointless tournament full of rag tag thrown together teams solely for the purpose of this tournament who won't last a week outside of it."
Neo shoots a thumbs up as he walks away without a care in the world that Charles Akiyama seems determined to continue this interview. Neo saunters out of frame as Charles' dumbfounded expression only grows and grows. What in the world just happened!? The scene slowly fades to black, leaving us all with more questions than answers.
