The green Jell-O leaves a streak of slime as it drips down Mistress Discipline’s left cheek. She reaches up and brushes it off her face before it can fall on her outfit. “Chaos, my dear manager, you really know how to fling it but right now we are supposed to be working on wrestling forms. Or have you changed your mind about learning how to get out of various moves?”
Chaos, who is already covered in green Jell-O, lets the Jell-O pooling in her right hand fall to the mat. She looks at her hand in disgust before shaking it like a Polaroid picture and flinging Jell-O in all directions. “Eww. When I suggested Jell-O wrestling, this was NOT what I had in mind. Why is it green?”
Mistress Discipline exhales. “I suggested we stick with traditional wrestling - without food products - and I believe it was your new hire that made these arrangements.”
Both women look over to where Death Trap is standing in ref attire next to a dark haired girl in green of about 15. Noticing them looking over, she waves enthusiastically. “Hi, y’all!”
Chaos snorts. “She is just so daiquiri cute. I still have issues believing she was the oldest worker they had to hire out.” Chaos frowns. “Maybe the Google translate didn’t work as well as I had thought.”
Mistress Discipline shakes her head. “Try not to get too attached. She is your temporary employee. I remain surprised she could get the clearance to come to the next arm of End of Days here in the Philippines but I fail to see how she will be able to join us for the Fireside Match back in the states and we need to focus on our wrestling future at this juncture.”
Chaos shutters. “I don’t want to talk about your upcoming Fireside match. I’m still having nightmares about the previous Majestic aspect from the last match. Let’s talk about how your flexibility in mind as well as body will have you kicking behind this weekend.”
Chaos begins to circle her Mistress, each step is accented by the ankle deep squelch of Jell-O. Chaos almost slides to her knees once but manages to throw her hand onto the mat and catch herself. Mistress Discipline counters each of Chaos’s steps with squishy steps of her own but without sliding like on a well greased slip and slide.
Mistress Discipline smiles. “The two matches are intertwined because I face my employer in the ring before competing in his fed. I see my future self wearing several belts both in Fireside and the larger network and both may hinge on doing well this coming weekend. I need to show that I can not only keep up with the best in the business, like Death Trap, Caffrey, and Radu, but that I am better than at two out of three of them.”
Chaos manages to stand back up. “And that right there is why you are going to do great this weekend. Caffrey may be stubborn and talented but he’s also stuck in the past. Your focus on the future is what will win you the End of Days and he won’t even see it happen until he taps for you.”
Death Trap moves closer to the two. “All he ever thinks about is reclaiming his past glory and avenging slights from previous matches.”
Mistress Discipline briefly looks over at Death Trap. “He is my current employer. He runs the fed I joined after MCCW and you two want me to slap his face into the mat and use his own moves against him until he brays like a donkey?”
Death Trap nods. “That is a good point. He tends to hold grudges and I don’t want you to have to deal with bad booking because we’re better than the purple-”
Chaos shouts “nurple” as she falls on her butt with a small Jell-O splash and begins muttering to herself. “Oh, tequila sunrise is so Bloody Mary.”
Death Trap looks to her in concern. “Chaos, you don’t think she should still go through with it, do you?”
Chaos considers it for a moment. “Yep. Break out the whips and cream his face into the mat. Give him the old college try. Show him who should hold his belt. After all he did nothing to protect me, an innocent bystander, from the horrors in his show. He doesn't care for me, why should I care for him.” She yells as she stands and charges at Mistress Discipline while still yelling.
Mistress Discipline, who is a professional wrestler, easily sidesteps Dr. Chaos, who is not a professional wrestler. Unfortunately, Chaos was planning to tackle Mistress Discipline as a way to stop herself and is left sliding across the Jell-O. Her yell quickly becomes a yelp and then she lands with a large splat near the edge of the mat. Green Jell-O flies in all directions.
Mistress Discipline wipes the Jell-O off her shoulder and moves closer to her downed manager. “Chaos, are you alright?”
Chaos rolls over and her entire front side is smeared in green Jell-O. “All things considered, this is still better than the Pudding Cup. Sometimes I can still smell the instant pudding.” she rubs her nose.
Mistress Discipline reaches a hand down to help her friend up. “I believe shoving it up your nose will do that.”
Chaos accepts the hand. “I could smell nothing but pudding for like a week after, it’s true, but there’s something in the air now. This may be just as memorable.”
A green blur whips around the outside of the ring before a pink towel flies over the top rope to smack into Chaos’s face.
Chaos groans. “Thanks. I think our rental time is almost up. Maybe we should start cleaning ourselves off… Unless… Hey Death Trap, are you willing to show us one of the moves you have planned for Caffrey this weekend?”
Death Trap looks over, then down at the Jell-O, then back at Mistress before answering... “I don’t recall agreeing to that.”
Chaos giggles. “That wasn’t a no. Mistress, would you like to wrestle Death Trap in the Jell-O.”
Death Trap raises his hands and shakes them in confusion. “How is this going to help us prepare for our match against Caffrey and Radu? Neither one of them is as flexible as her. I’m pretty sure at this point, Radu is mostly willpower holding together a body of paper-mache.”
Mistress Discipline looks down at Chaos. “The whole point of this Jell-O filled farce was to help you learn to protect yourself from - and I quote - ‘the cruel world filled with crueler persons who want to harm all of God's little children.’ I have yet to touch you and you have yet to learn a single thing. Do not give up yet.”
Chaos stands as she continues to wipe the Jell-O off her. She blows her nose in the towel then looks at it. “Yep green. I hear and understand your point of view.” she nods in sincere understanding. “But who you quoted is not the me standing here today. That was the other day me who was high on pain meds, who likes to pontificate, and who gets lost by herself in a foreign country when trying to hire someone to carry her bags. I was thinking about Jell-O shots, honestly, and how they don’t mix with my little bottle.”
Mistress Discipline looks up at the ceiling. “You said this was a great way to prepare for the match. It was a great way to practice in less than perfect conditions and learn to counter anything the opposition could throw at us. Like Jell-O or bugs.”
Chaos looks at Mistress Discipline. “And you believed me?”
Death Trap looks over at Mistress Discipline. “Wait THAT’S why we’re doing this...Should we be doing this in front of a minor?”
Chaos begins to wipe the Jell-O from her hair. “Keep your pants on and it’s fine. She has my Netflix account on the tablet I got her to learn better ‘merican so I doubt it would be new anyways. Though she seems to really like the American version of anime. It’s creepy really. Something about the Rowdyruff Boys.”
Mistress Discipline begins to head for the ropes and easily catches the light blue towel thrown her way. “Thank you, dear.” She begins to wipe the last of the Jell-O from her face as she turns to face Death Trap and Chaos. “I have been preparing for this weekend by studying our opponent and given their level of experience, there is plenty of material. These two are the most difficult pair we have faced yet but I believe they have soft points. Caffrey’s weakness is more obvious: he cannot lift much weight from previous injuries, thus reducing the offense he is capable of. Radu has a thing for bugs but short of stepping on some like Men in Black, that may not present itself as a weakness. His frequent injuries should weaken him but he seems to thrive on pain. Perhaps he likes it? Either way, Radu seems the least likely to tap and the more likely not to hold a grudge against me if I force him to. Death Trap, provided you can continue to communicate as a team member, we should be able to take turns with them both but I think you should finish Caffrey off. We both could, but it would be best if it was you.”
Chaos heads out of the ring. ”Oh that reminds me.” She heads over to where her pink gym bag is and begins going through it.
Mistress Discipline turns to Death Trap. “I hope this partnership has been as beneficial for you as it has been for me.”
Death Trap takes a few steps towards the ropes. “I’ve seen you improve. I’ve seen you take control and I’ve seen you succeed. So yeah. Let’s keep it up.”
Mistress Discipline smiles. “I really feel like I have grown as a wrestler under you. If we win this thing, we should celebrate. Celebrate our victory and our partnership. Perhaps a formal celebration?”
Chaos pops-up beside the ring with both hands behind her back. “A formal recognition of your union? Perhaps with formal attire, waltzing and fine wine?”
Death Trap considers this. “Italian red, dry white. Ohh!” He holds up a finger. “How about: Prosecco, a little bit of the bubbly.”
Mistress Discipline nods. “Glad you are in agreement. If we win these tag team belts, Chaos and I will plan the event of the season. Though perhaps to celebrate this as my first belt I should wear white?”
Death Trap nods. “Ye-.” He then looks over sharply. “What?”
Mistress Discipline looks to Death Trap. “Do you think I should wear light blue instead? With the tag team belt, I’ll have something new.”
Chaos turns to Mistress Discipline. “Speaking of the future. Which do you prefer for your costume?” She pulls her hands from behind her back showing a bottle of blond hair dye in one hand and blond wig in the other.
Mistress Discipline looks at her manager for a moment, then the items in her hands, then back at her manager. “I do not follow. What costume?”
Chaos shrugs. “The fiery pumpkin thingie. We’re doing a group costume.”
Mistress Discipline nods. “We will need to further discuss my questions.”
