i've been thinking about this among other things lately... i've seen some feds who've been a round a year make hall of fames, personally i feel this is way too soon and early, i don't like having active characters in a hall of fame either. that just doesn't sit right with me. anyways... back to the point... we're slowly aproaching our 3rd year in sss/jrok, well the fed as a whole. i still think it's too soon to make a hall of fame though. but... when do you guys think it'd be a good time to make one? and what things do you look for when inducting people into one?

Keeping a fed open for more than two months is a major accomplishment. If a person manages to keep at it for a year? Those year end awards mean something - and even if they are heavily influenced by the most recent events, the hall of fame looks at the larger scope of a character with a company.
I would say after that year there is no time like the present for starting one. At the same time, I'd only include characters that are retired / damn close to it. After I won the google group wrestler of the year, I had dozens of feds trying to attach me to their hall of fames that I had barely been in. It's a nice thought, but it cheapens the meaning.
So if you have major JROK players that are no longer around, start the damned thing already.

we have people who were starting to get close to it, but ultimately left before i'd say they were worthy of that point or were handled by a not so great member that we had troubles with site wide lol. the others who are getting to that point are still well into their prime or not even there yet lol. but i agree, i think they should be retired or at least not coming back to the company full time or as a wrestler at the very least.

My understanding is that there are some JROK characters that might be considered npcs? Why not retire one to officially open it, or use it in an angle? Even if it just has 2 guys in to start, whose to say you don't bring in another 4-5 next year. It's all relative.

There should be one being various feds have one. I remember the IWA PBM fed had one in their monthly bulletins. So I do agree XHF should have one.

I think at three years, you can absolutely start inducting non-active characters.

I’m always leery until like after 10 years. I think an irl fed going before then is jumping the gun because a HoF doesn’t mean much if you’re not an established company. But HoF could mean different things to different people, like “we want to honor this guy for carrying us.” But still, if you’ve got guys you remember after 10+ years, they defo earned it, lol

And to me it just means those feds didn’t need HoFs, lol. Like I’ve seen guys list off 10 HoFs they’re in but I don’t know those places or how long they lived

Kira if you need a deceased great for your HoF, I nominate Zoran. Sure he had nothing to do with JROK, and talked some pretty bad shit about the company, but he is definitely dead. No coming back from that.

Tbh Destiny's hall of fame is a piggyback off of a fed that had 20 years of history. We also run weekly shows, sometimes 4+ matches on them. Unlike mongo though, I can't see many many people playing a solid ten years, even if the fed still exists. Personal life, interest, etc can all be factors why most would step away eventually. Does that not mean we shouldn't honor some big names that helped us get where we are? All i'll say is you'll know when the right time is as a fed head.
