any time is fine, awf has one and they've been around about as long as you. just make sure you never put dexter point in :^) but unlike in his past feds he's been very deserving of it. handing out titles and walking down to a ring ain't easy work ya know

Got in a friendly debate with Mongo, so here's my thoughts:
• 10 years is kinda horseshit. It just is a completely unrealistic goal, props to you if you've made it-- if I'm still here in ten years I think that's kind of a failure on my part. As much as we sweep it under the rug for XHF narratives, the original XHF lasted what, 6/7 years? I think aging a fed in dog years or cat years is a more appropriate look, so 1 to 7 or 1 to 4. That puts a first year as fine, but a second year as better. I think a second works well as a starting point.
____
• I've called myself the Unlegend in past companies/promos because I kind of hate Hall of Fames. Yes, Dexter was left out, but I had made almost as big an impact as Dexter on that company's legacy and had nothing to show for it. This is the easiest way possible to piss off long-time players in your community. Yes, some players do win more titles than others, but should we not recognize someone who showed up every show for two years, even if they didn't win as much? Your company would not be around if not for those players. In the next bullet point, I rattled off some people who would make an XHF HOF to me -- I can tell you that there will be people who go "hey I'm not on that list", whether in public or private -- DT already made a small comment about not being on either list. And that's Dfriggin'T.
____
• Mongo posted this list of HOF candidates, and I posted this one: Game, Ish, Rhein, Rat, Reeshi, Scorps, Harry, Rage, Fish (yeah, him too), Hanz, I think Martyr Jack, Bobby, Kuroi, Seth, Dylan, Kira (no one get mad, I wrote quickly, don't get mad at this list)
For Mongo's list, a whopping two people I know as players, and honestly none of them made an impact on me and influenced my decision to throw down roots and spend a lot of time here. I literally don't know Game, Ish, Rhein, Reeshi, Fish, Hanz, or Martyr. For my list, literally almost everyone made that impact on me and influenced those things. I'm sure everyone has their own list they would make off the top of their head.
So who's list is more valuable/who decides these things? Do people who were making waves in 2003 mean anything to us in 2020, especially when the company was closed for literally ten years?
The current HOF takes a few old timers and recognizes modern people as well. I think that's the best solution, but I'm sure Mongo would have his own thoughts.
___
• Finally, politics. I got to sit in and give my opinions about AWF's last class. You can be damn sure everyone in that group had opinions, some stronger than others. Besides a few people who could be unanimous in your federation/company, there will always be people who can be debated yes/no, and that's where the fights are most likely to begin.
___
BONUS: I think the best solution of them all is to create a lore/history page, laying out what's happened so far. That's the best way to recognize the past and present without pissing anyone off.

BONUS: I think the best solution of them all is to create a lore/history page, laying out what's happened so far. That's the best way to recognize the past and present without pissing anyone off. Agreed. I'd much rather tell the tales of yore and yon(?) than put up statutes that might not mean something since there's no context. That's why I've always had award shows be member-run/hosted because I don't actually like saying one guy is better than another in almost any official context (even booking is hard for me a lot of the time). IN FAIRNESS, my list was XHF Year One guys and DT was year two (and his year two ideas were great) and Caff your list was all Network-Era guys and Kuroi so DT slipped through the cracks that way, lol. But yeah, even between those you can see issues that come with it. I think there's lots of relevant points being made on both sides but I absolutely agree that telling the stories keeps legends alive better than other methods.

Counterpoint: 0.0001% of feds make it past three years, much less 10. And to me it just means those feds didn’t need HoFs, lol. Like I’ve seen guys list off 10 HoFs they’re in but I don’t know those places or how long they lived Well, to defend the only Hall of Fame I’m in, I was put in there six years after I left and they did it upon the feds closing. Though I did a reunion show with them.

I kinda think a Hall of fame ruined a fed I won't mention by name and it was around 20 years. Everyone wanted in and preferential treatment became a very real feeling there but to each their own. I like the idea of it being used for non active/retired wrestlers though. My two pesos
