Return of the Gladiator

(The locker room is empty and a flash of light suddenly explodes and fades showing Niko and Terminatrix all calm as they look around. Niko looks focused as he slowly stalks around the locker room acclimating himself to the surroundings looking around satisfied that he's finally seeing regular action after over a year of being disrespected.)


Niko:  "Finally I make my singles debut after being only appearing in one event."

Terminatrix:  "Do not forget this is a Lethal Lottery Tournament where you have to team up with someone who's untrustworthy but you both have to work together for a common goal."

Niko:  "To win that unified NPW championship no matter what the cost and at who's expense."

Terminatrix:  "This is going to be for the glory of Shaakar."

Niko:  "First me and Scott Steel have to get past this team of Timeless Alex Turner and Leon van Zandt."

Terminarix:  "Remember you are a gladiator and shall go about this match like one."

Niko:  "I've waited for months.  I've waited a full year and only saw scant action along with my partner and fellow gladiator brother Kono.  Now we face two men who can't trust each other either."

(Another flash of light suddenly explodes and fades revealing Commandrix and Kono.)

Commandrix:  "You ready Niko."

Niko:  "I'm more than ready for combat Commandrix and when this whole tournament is over I shall dedicate the championship to Shaakar."

Kono:  "It shall be one of the greatest events in our history."

Terminatrix:  "It's not going to be easy but Niko plans on overcoming all odds."

Niko:  "I hate anything easy."

Commandrix:  "Word has it that you will be seeing action soon Terminatrix."

Terminatrix:  "I have been in preparations for the possibility as you have been too Commandrix."

Commandrix:  "Always be prepared in case it should happen."

Niko:  "Imagine I'm going to be surrounded by enemies in this tournament but then again that isn't new."

Kono:  "I'll be out there to watch your back and make sure that you are the last man standing in his tournament."

Niko:  "As I will if you were in this tournament too fellow gladiator brother."

Commandrix:  "Do not forget that Timeless Alex Turner's a cold and ruthless veteran from SWAT and he's willing to betray anyone in order to achieve his goals of winning that championship."

Niko:  "I know you'll keep reminding me so I don't lose my focus."

Commandrix:  "I shall Niko."

Terminatrix:  "As shall I Niko."

Commandrix:  "There's also another factor here as well."

Niko:  "Which is."

Commandrix:  "Allegedly his valet Roxylishus has this so-called power to influence the referee by looking a him."

Terminatrix:  "I shall handle that and break her power over the males of this world."

Kono:  "As long as it assists Niko in this cause."

Niko:  "Steel and I shall advance and if we have to wrestle each other in the finals.  Then we shall do so and I shall come out as the winner of this tournament and represent NPW as well as Shaakar."

Terminatrix:  "Do not look past Leon van Zandt."

Niko:  "Then I shall focus on both of them and I shall show them why I'm a gladiator."

Commandrix:  "Leon isn't an easy opponent either and you shall be in for a true battle."

Niko:  "That's what I like the most and that's a battle worthy of my skills."

Kono:  "That's The Dark Stars and Dark Novas way of conducting our business in the ring."

Niko:  "That's how we're going to attain our glory and honor for Shaakar."

Terminatrix:  "No matter how we attain it we shall gain the glory that is richly deserved and we shall earn it our way and our way only."

Niko:  "Through hard work and equally hard combat in the ring."

Commandrix:  "That's correct.  Now start warming up for your match." 

Niko:  "So it shall be Commandrix."

(Niko wastes no time starting to warm up as the scene slowly fades to black.)
