- Night one of the Lethal Lottery is in the books, and there were many impactful matches that will shape the future of the promotion. First and foremost, we have Brand NEW Imperial Crown Tag Team Champions; The Dark Stars. Bloodline issued an open challenge after beating down the Speed Dragons. The Dark Stars were listening and they stepped up to the plate and accepted the challenge. Someone else who was listening closely? Jay Stevens. Stevens has been at odds with Bloodline for awhile now, and was finally able to get a measure of revenge on them after their heinous 3 on 1 beatdown at End of Days. Something tells me, that this situation is far from over, as Stevens has been hinting that a few of his 'friends' might be joining him in NPW in the future. As for the Dark Stars, they now sit atop of the hierarchy in the tag team division. They will be defending the championships at Crowning of a Champion on December the 17th.
- Scott Steel made big waves on the last show, and it still has the locker room buzzing. Steel made no bones about the fact that 'Timeless" Alex Turner was his prime target in their lethal lottery tag team bout. Steel didn't seem too fixated on 'winning' the match, as he did trying to injure 'Timeless.' Fast forward to the second Lethal Lottery Tag Team Match, and it would be Scott Steel under the orders of Eric Dane, who would interrupt the match and attack Jonnie Valentine - causing Dane and Valentine to be disqualified. Maverick and Danuwaanahili were none too pleased, and rightfully so. So much so, that the fight continued in the press room after the event. Maverick went right for Dane, while Danu showed tremendous guts by going after the much larger Scott Steel. This is certainly a situation worth monitoring.
- The X*Crown Champion Dylan Black will be competing on Night 2 of the Letha Lottery - after retaining his championship in impressive fashion at the End of Days Finale. Black looks poised to add another championship to his X*Crown, and appears to be at the very top of his game. Want to know who else is on the Lethal Lottery Night 2 Event? "The Real" Lord Dominicus, That's who. 'LD' came oh so close to unseating Dylan Black in their match at End of Days, and just two weeks later, will now be forced to share a locker room with the man who's championship he was hunting. The Real 'LD' has been vocal about Northern Pro Wrestling being 'his' and is flaunting the fact that he is the ONLY singles champion in the promotion. I'm very curious to see how or if these two are able to co-exist in the same building. A word to the wise - Dylan Black will need eyes in the back of his head, as something tells me there is going to be a lot of attention on him for as long as he's involved in the Lethal Lottery tournament.
- The Final EWF World Heavyweight Champion; Lou Natic has signed a contract with Northern Pro Wrestling. Lou was on full display picking up a victory at the Cruiserweight Showcase, just days prior to defeating John Cavanagh for the EWF World Championship at Imperial Insanity. Now both men are part of the Northern Pro Roster, and will be looking to find their place amongst the sharks. Speaking of Cavanagh, he will be making his in-ring debut on Night 2, as he teams up with "The King" Brad Swann to take on another newcomer - Adrian King and "The Iron Bear" Joe Ghaven.
- Speaking of "The Iron Bear" - Joe Ghaven and Gordon Carlson finished in 3rd place in the Tag Team Turmoil tournament which played out over multiple weeks. The word is that these two plan on maintaining their presence in the tag team division, and will looking to build more chemistry over the next few months. One would have to assume that they have their sights set on both the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships as well as the XHF Tag Team Championships currently held by the Purple Emperors.
- The Canadian Nightmare; Jesse Jamester made an impactful debut by disposing of Irwin Collins in short order. 'JJ' seemed overly vicious and wrestled with a chip on his shoulder. This is the type of game changing talent that will keep people on their toes. Very curious to see how Jamester will get along with Scott Steel, as they're set to compete against the sturdy duo of David Slater and Sheldon Warren.
- The XHF Network was finally able to get a closer look at Leon Van Zandt on the last event. While Leon may not be a known commodity to the XHF Network, his resume and reputation is that of a calculated individual with a pension for dishing out damage. Leon is known for his dreaded 'Sugar Hold' which has put many competitors down in the past. Now Leon has an opportunity to become the first North American Double Crown Champion, as he punched his ticket to the finals alongside of "Timeless" Alex Turner. This man is definitely someone to keep eyes on, going forward.
- Cassie Hunter really turned some heads after her victory over April Hamill on the last show. Cassie parlayed her victory into a spot in an 8 woman tournament that will be taking place in the next week or so. Cassie has also agreed to wrestle the Termanatrix on the Nov 25th event. Something tells me that the more exposure Cassie gets, the more her tinder messages will be blowing up her phone. That, and there is already talks of Cassie competing in various promotions in the XHF Network as she looks to position herself as a 'global' presence.
- Finally, a big match to keep your eyes on at the next event will be the debuting Nicholas Windsor, taking on Andrew Brookes. Brookes made an impact back in June, but due to scheduling conflicts, as unable to make back north of the border until now. He's primed and prepared to welcome Nicholas Windsor to Northern Pro Wrestling. Windsor is seen as a major signing, and that match is one that you will not want to miss. Two hungry Brit's looking to take the other out, is always going to be entertaining.
More news as it develops.
