Next Level Wrestling Presents
ASCENDENCY III
LIVE from the Avron B Fogelman Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana
October 31st, 2020
The opening riffs of "Obey" by Bring Me The Horizon and YUNGBLUD echoes throughout the arena as the fans begin to cheer loudly. The camera focuses on the announce team of Dan Simmons and Tommy West.
West: That's right Dan, eight men will become two by the end of tonight as we have two fatal four ways to determine who gets a shot at the NLW Heavyweight Title.
Simmons: El Rey Combatiente, Gerhard Bishop, Joshua Darkwood and Mr Bollywood start the proceedings, before Leon Chant, Maze, Jason Justice and Rafe White tackle each other in tonight's main event.
West: Tonight, the men are separated from the boys, Simmo, the previews are over, now the real fights can begin.
Simmons: The stakes have certainly be raised! Also tonight, Nathan Parker makes his debut against Big Bone, Joe Blow squares off against Kenneth Casper, and coming up right now? Sylvius takes on Scott Hampton!
The hard cam pans over to the entrance curtain for our first match.
MATCH ONE
Sylvius vs Scott Hampton
Both men had a delicate mix of nervousness and confidence, knowing that neither wanted to lose a second match so early into their NLW careers, but could sense a victory against their opponent today. The two circle the ring, and it looks as if Hampton wanted to go for a collar and elbow tie up, but Sylvius had other ideas instead doubling him over with a boot to the midsection. He took him by the scruff of the neck and threw to throw him into the corner, Hampton swivelled and instead it was Sylvius backed up, with Hampton quick to place some swift kicks to the midsection. Hampton Irish whipped Sylvius across the ring to the opposite corner, and Sylvius bounced away from it into a back body drop attempt, but Sylvius over rotated and managed to land on his feet! Hampton turned around as O Cisne Preto decided to head to the ropes, and on his return dropped Hampton with the Rusalka [running elbow], making the cover for a quick two count.
Hampton got up cagily, eyeing Sylvius up from across the ring. They circled once more, and it looked like Sylvius was trying to pick the leg of Hampton, looking for an early calf slicer. Scott evaded each attempt, though, and each time replied with a swift kick to the side. Sylvius started to get frustrated, so tried to lunge towards Hampton, who hit an arm drag, Sylvius was straight back up and again charged at his opponent to only receive the same treatment.
Hampton seemed to be picking up a head of steam, and when Sylvius got to his feet once more he's nailed with a dropkick, making Sylvius stagger back into a corner. Hampton charged in and nailed him with a step up knee strike in the corner, and then whipped him across the ring into the opposite set of turnbuckles. Hampton attempted to repeat the process, but Sylvius sidestepped, and grabbed the back of his opponent and hit a German Suplex. Hampton isn’t down for long however, and after Sylvius took a moment to check his jaw from the previous knee, he saw Hampton getting back up and looked for Death in Venice [corkscrew brainbuster] but as he lifted Hampton he dropped behind, spun Sylvius back around and after a strong gut kick, he hit a package piledriver, but the cover would only get two.
Hampton brought his opponent back to his feet and sent him to the ropes, as Sylvius returned back to him he went for a big clothesline, but Sylvius ducked and as Hampton turned back around, Sylvius was flying back at him, and connected with a springboard crossbody. Sylvius wasn’t done there, he bounced back onto is feet and ran towards the corner, scaling to the top rope with ease and hitting a moonsault, but this would only get him a two count in the pin attempt.
Sylvius was beginning to look a little frustrated, he goaded Hampton to get up and stalked his opponent. Hampton got up and turned towards Sylvius, who was looking for a big right hook, but Hampton ducked under and responded by hitting the Lights Out [pump kick]. Feeling confident, he pumped the crowd and lifted Sylvius back to his feet, Hampton placed him on his shoulders and goes to hit the Vae Victis, but as he dropped back, Sylvius landed on his feet, grabbed one of Hampton’s legs like a spider holding onto its prey and locked in the calf slicer in the middle of the ring. Hampton looked for the ropes but hey were just too far away, and he had no choice but to tap out.

Outside of the Avron B Fogelman Arena by the entrance is a Cat Food Foodtruck. Almost no one pays it much mind, because who wants to buy cat food on their way to a wrestling event? A few people give it a curious look on their way into the arena, but no one stops.
If they only knew.
In the back of the food truck is a speakeasy that seats two, three if they want to sit extra close. Nathan Parker is sitting on one of the stools, nursing a glass of weed infused vodka over ice. He’s also using a fork to eat some meat out of a can.
Nearby is Michael “Cats” Dundee (of course with the inside of a food truck being what it is, he couldn’t be anything but close). He is sitting by the window and watching people walk by while he absently pets one of his cats.
Dundee: You know, you would think that someone on their way to a wrestling arena would want some freshly made cat food. You know, to bring home with them after the show.
Nathan just shrugs and takes another sip of his vodka.
Parker: They might stop by after the show is over so they’re not carrying cat food around with them while they’re trying to watch me kick someone’s ass. Also, if you sell gourmet cat food, why do you have this stuff? It’s good though.
Michael frowns while he pets his cat. He finally notices that Nathan is eating from a can of cat food.
Dundee: Is the weed vodka that good that Humphrey’s dinner tastes good? Besides, the gourmet stuff is expensive.
Nathan lifts up the can to look closer at the side of it to see that it is indeed canned cat food. Beef and gravy. He shrugs and takes another bite.
Parker: It does taste good with the weed vodka.
Dundee: Don’t you have a match to get to?
Parker: Right. I gotta go kick the ass of some fat luchador fucker. Damn Mexicans can’t even let us have exclusivity over obesity. I’ll kick his ass like I should have that Pepe Morales Mexican fucker.
Dundee: I think Pepe was from Puerto Rico? Also, why you razing Mexicans? Mexicans can be fat too.
Nathan finishes the can of cat food and polishes off the drink. Michael refills the glass with a laugh.
Dundee: You really have been a mess without me being around. I’ll get ya hooked up straight as rain, Nate.
Nathan takes a sip from his fresh drink with an ahh.
Parker: Fine. Fine. Fine. Thanks, Mick.
Just then, Nathan’s phone rings. He checks it and sees that one of the road agents is calling.
Parker: Oh shit! I think I’m up soon. I gotta go.
Nathan upends his drink, finishing it off quickly.
Parker: I’ll be back after I kick Big Bone’s ass.
Nathan jumps out the back of the food truck and heads toward the arena.
MATCH TWO
Joe Blow vs Kenneth Casper
The bell rings and we’re met with Joe Blow and Kenneth Casper both meeting in the ring, the dirtiest player in the game right now- to the literal sense- is laying down in the corner as he prepares to take a snooze but Casper doesn’t take too kindly to this lack of fight in Joe Blow and gives him a dropkick that sends him rib first into the ring post. Casper, looking to gain something back after his loss to Jason Justice two weeks ago, drags Blow to the middle of the ring and begins to hammer away with the Hammerfists to the head and torso area of Blow. Casper deadlifts Blow up and drops him back down to the mat and on his shoulder blades with a Gutwrench Powerbomb.
Casper rolls Blow onto his knees and brings him to his feet, pushing him back into the ropes and rebounding to catch him with the Chiller Spinebuster but Blow is able to catch him in a DDT. Blow begins to fire down with the quick time punches to the head of Casper. Blow stands up and shakes his head around before slicking his hair back and awaiting Casper to get back up to his feet, once he does, he’s knocked back down by a Clothesline by Blow but he springs back to his feet and land a Dropkick that sends Blow tumbling over to the ropes.
With Blow down and in his sights, Casper makes another move for his opponent but the referee intervenes and Casper pushes him away- but it was the wrong move to make as it was an opening for the Bell Ringer [Low Blow] by Joe Blow. Casper falls down in pain and Blow crawls over to the corner, and begins to give himself some relief in the way of an Afternoon Delight [Masturbation], Blow keeps on going and his head begins to tilt back and loud moans are heard but as he adjusts his head, he finds the two soles of Kenneth Casper flying right into his jaw.
Joe Blow, however, has finished- and by finished, there’s a soggy part of his trousers near where his crotch would be and well, Kenneth Casper hasn’t taken notice of it. Casper drags the body of Blow to the middle of the ring and awaits for him to get back to his feet, which he does slowly, Casper kicks Blow in the gut and lifts him up for the Powerbomb but Blow has taken notice to the positioning and grabs Casper’s head, shoving it into his crotch. Casper is disgusted and drops Joe Blow back down to the mat, and by the look on his face, he might vomit.
Casper looks to hurl but Joe Blow looks to rub his hand down by his crotch and tease to give it to the referee who turns away for a second as Blow lands another Bell Ringer and finally giving Casper the No Effort [Push] for the three count to end the match.
[WINNER: Joe Blow via No Effort at 07:46]
We cut to footage shot earlier in the day, the shot is taken at floor level arcing up towards the Avron B Fogelman Arena. A man walks into shot, well he kind of meanders into view to be truthful. Decked out in an oversized FUBU football shirt that looked older than he did and a backwards turned baseball cap.
He approaches two men standing at the entrance to the arena. Both look as if they were hired straight from an Eastern European Gym, neither smile nor shift their focus as he comes closer.
Eastern European Looking Goon #1: Gonna have to stop you there, fella. No ticket, no entry.
FUBU Guy: Is there a list? If there’s a list, I’ll be on it.
The Goon turns his head with a smile to his friend.
Eastern European Looking Goon #1: You hear that? He’s on the list.
Eastern European Looking Goon #2: I bet he’s on a list…
The two men laugh at the joke at the expense of the smaller man.
FUBU Guy: No, really. I’m Al Jabroni. I’ve got to meet BB Gunn, I signed a contract with NLW a couple of days ago and he told me to come along.
The second Goon scans him.
Eastern European Looking Goon #2: You? A wrestler? Can you even lift up your jeans or does mommy and daddy still have to do that for you?
Another shared laugh for the two guardians of the arena.
Al Jabroni: Look, I have a ticket here.
He goes to check the pockets of his jeans but finds nothing. He continues to search whilst awkwardly maintaining eye-contact past a point that would be comfortable.
Al Jabroni: Can you just call Mr. Gunn? He knows me.
Eastern European Looking Goon #1: Gunn is a busy man, so are we. YOU call him!
With that the two step towards one another to form a human barrier. Jabroni starts to skulk off the camera.
Al Jabroni: I’ll show you what kind of wrestler I am, someday…
The camera pans away and focuses on two tickets that lie on the car park ground as we cut back to the action.
MATCH THREE
Nathan Parker vs Big Bone
Big Bone looked relaxed as the bell rang, however Parker was intense, focused, willing to do damage. The two circled around each other and then locked up with Big Bone pushing Parker to a nearby corner before being broken up. Big Bone stepped back and made a jovial gesture to his own amusement, but Parker didn’t find it funny at all and swung for the fences but Big Bone caught him by the wrist and took him down with an arm bar, wrenching back while Parker slapped the mat in frustration. Big Bone then went to kick Parker while the arm bar is still applied but he moved his head and managed to kip up while still in the hold but struck back with a headbutt. Parker fired off several more headbutts until Big Bone released the hold and stumbled back, Parker then rushed in at him and nailed him with a running lariat that knocks him through the ropes and to the outside. Keen to keep on top, Parker quickly followed up with the WTF [suicide dive] which knocks Big Bone back several steps into the barricade. Back on his feet quickly, Parker hit several forearm strikes before tossing the luchador back in the ring. Parker follows back in the ring and hits the Quick Trip [standing moonsault], making the cover for a two count.
Parker brought him back up but Big Bone came back at him with strikes of his own then a bicycle kick. Parker was stunned, Big Bone wasn’t and continued to strike and hit Parker with the Bonesaw [burning lariat], Parker crashed to the mat and Big Bone made he cover for a two count.
Parker crawled to the nearest corner and brought himself back up to his feet, Big Bone got back up and went for an opportunistic splash in the corner but Parker slipped out of the way in time and as Big Bone stumbled back, Parker grabbed him and hit a reverse DDT, making the cover but getting a two count only.
Knowing he needed to keep momentum up, Parker got to his feet quickly and dragged his opponent up with him in a front facelock. Parker dug deep and hoisted up the larger Big Bone and his a delayed brainbuster. Straight away he then stepped out on to the ring apron and scaled the turnbuckle, looking to hit the Shotgun [flying elbow], but before he could, he became distracted, because from under the ring, Mono Despiadado climbed out and was on the ring apron, doing some form of Latin dance. Parker looked back at the referee who was just as confused as he was, after telling Despiadado to go away, the attempt being in vain, and then questioning if he was even real, he turned his attention back to Big Bone, who was back on his feet, but groggy. Parker leapt off looking for a cross body, but in his own show of strength, Big Bone caught him, and threw him up onto his shoulders, and hit the Rattlin’ Bones [firemans carry snapmare driver], he makes the cover and scores the win.
[WINNER: Big Bone via Rattlin' Bones at 09:01]
The camera shot takes us away from the ringside area and to the offices of NLW’s General Manager, BB Gunn, as he sits in front of a large television screen showing the NLW logo and on his desk is a large something underneath a black cloth.
BB Gunn: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the third Ascendency. It’s been a true honour to have you watching from home or being in the crowd here tonight. Right now, and as always, I want to look to the future. With such, we’re talking about the finals that are to take place later tonight.
Gunn smiles.
BB Gunn: Tonight’s two Semi-Final matches will be closing the show with an opportunity to become the first-ever NLW Heavyweight Champion and with the eight men we have participating in it tonight, it’s been a pleasure to have them on board and in line for that shot. As many would know, it would come down to two men who’ll face for the NLW Heavyweight Championship and that match will headline our first ever Pay Per View on November 28th, here in the Avron B Fogelman Arena.
Gunn gestures to the black cloth.
BB Gunn: Underneath here is the NLW Heavyweight Championship and it will be revealed in a sooner time, but for now, I want to discuss the rest of the men who are competing in those two Semi-Finals matches. I have good news for some and bad news as well. As you may know, those two matches are one fall to a finish and with good reason as right now I will announce that the two men who do not get pinned in both of those matches will move on to next week at the fourth Ascendency.
The screen behind BB Gunn shows the images of the eight men appearing in the two matches to close the show.
BB Gunn: Among these eight men, four will face one another in two one on one matches. Let’s say if Maze gets pinned and it’s Leon Chant who does it, then it’ll be Rafe and Justice who’ll face in two weeks- and if Darkwood pins El Rey, then it’ll be Bollywood and Gerhard Bishop next week. This two one on one matches will decide us another match for our very first Pay Per View. Those two men who win their second chance matches will go head to head to crown themselves the Number One Contender for the rightful NLW Heavyweight Champion after the Pay Per View. When will that match take place? Who knows, but our first Pay Per View has a lot in store with those two matches and believe me, there’ll be plenty more where that came from.
Gunn begins to laugh.
BB Gunn: And one last thing, our Pay Per View- did you really think we’d forgot to give it a name? See, this is New Orleans. This is our home, and a lot of people on our roster have made it their home. The future of Next Level Wrestling resides in it’s home of New Orleans and this is going to be… our Homecoming.
The logo fills the screen behind Gunn.
BB Gunn: So, on November 28th, you will witness our Homecoming. I cannot wait to see you all there. Take care everyone.
The camera shot returns us to ringside to an excited crowd as we cut to the commentators.
Simmons: My god! These two Semi-Finals have so much more added to them! And now, we have a name for our own Pay Per View that’s coming in four weeks time!
West: That’s absolutely right, Homecoming will be our first Pay Per View and the first of many for Next Level Wrestling- and I’ve told you and everyone else before, this is the next level and what we’re ready to do for Homecoming will prove that statement to be true.
Simmons: Oh I believe it to be true, West, but right now… It’s Semi-Final time!
West: Let’s do it!
MATCH FOUR
NLW Heavyweight Championship Semi Final Match
El Rey Combatiente vs Mr Bollywood vs Joshua Darkwood vs Gerhard Bishop
As the opening bell rang, El Rey went straight for Mr Bollywwod, and the bigger men of Bishop and Darkwood went after each other. Bollywood looked a bit caught off guard as El Rey went in with a fast paced offence, whereas in the other corner Darkwood and Bishop were happy to exchange fists, chops, and all things hard hitting. Bishop was on the back foot though, and Darkwood looked to send him out the ring with a big lariat, but Bishop saw him coming and threw the Dark Wolf out of the ring. He turned back around to size up the other two men, but before he could walk towards them, Darkwood was back on his feet, and had tripped the man from Rotterdam, before dragging him out the ring.
El Rey and Mr Bollywood were putting on quite an entertaining sequence of ring work, which given Bollywood’s severe lack of training was a pleasant surprise. Outside the ring however, both Joshua Darkwood and Gerhard Bishop were throwing bombs at each other, this had quickly become a brawl.
In the ring, El Rey was continuing to catch Bollywood out, coming off the ropes, Bollywood looked for a pop up powerbomb but was taken down with a hurricanrana. They both quickly got back up but Bollywood would run into and arm drag, and a second, and a third. El Rey stood across from his and taunted Bollywood, who didn’t looked phased, but certainly wanted to do better.
Outside, Bishop had just slammed Darkwood’s head into the announce desk. Karl Hagen now was barking orders at his student, reminding him that the match couldn’t be won out there. He nodded and grabbed the back of Darkwood’s neck, but Darkwood threw an elbow into his gut, and with Bishop doubled over, he grabbed him and threw him shoulder first into the steel steps.
Bollywood had snuck past the quicker offence of El Rey and had hit a very clean vertical suplex. Wanting to show off his skills, he then lifted him back to his feet and set him up for a pump handle slam. On the lift, El Rey rolled behind and hit a dropkick, sending Bollywood stumbling to the ropes. El Rey ran at him but Bollywood sent him over the top rop with a big body drop...right onto the Joshua Darkwood, who was just about to re-enter the fray!
Bollywood was clearly pleased with himself as he surveyed the damage outside, but he turned straight into Gerhard Bishop, who drilled him with a snap powerbomb, and not content there, hit the Pressure Point [deadlift Greco Roman suplex], but, before he could make the pin, El Rey Combatiente was on the top rope, and with both men led down, he hit a 630 senton on Bishop. He made the cover but Joshua Darkwood had recovered, and placed a boot into El Rey’s head to stop the count at two, he grabbed him and looked for the Wolfs-bane, but El Rey pushed him away and into a slowly recovering Bishop, who hit him with a hard European uppercut, he stumbled back to El Rey who set him up and hit the South of the Border [vertibreaker]. However, Bishop pounced and floored El Rey with a huge lariat, and tossed him out of the ring.
Bishop turned back around and grabbed Darkwood, attempting to deadlift him as well, but Darkwood instinctively had hold of Bishop’s hands, not allowing him to get a clean grip around his waist. He forced his way back to his feet and shoved an elbow in Bishops face, breaking the hold clean and hit the Wolfs-bane [diamond cutter]. Bishop would instinctively roll under the nearest rope after he went down, which left a frustrated Darkwood on his own...or so he thought. As he tried to grab Bishop, he was spun around by Mr Bollywood, who hit the Bollywood Bottom. He quickly kicked Bishop off the ring apron and made the cover on Darkwood, with the other two men on the outside, he got the three!
[WINNER: Mr Bollywood via Bollywood Bottom at 14:17]
Simmons: Proving that NLW is intent on bringing it to the next level, BB Gunn has been busy with his checkbook and has brought in several new stars since our last show!
West: There’s some great talent coming aboard, you can guarantee that each Ascendancy will prove that we’re constantly growing bigger and better.
Simmons: We’ve got word that one of the soon to debut stars is in attendance now, Al Jabroni!
The cameras cut to the crowd where an extremely overweight woman and the fat sow that climbed out of her sit. The sow is about six years old and clearly not Jabroni, despite what the on-screen graphic may tell you otherwise.
West: Either he gave his seats away to a charity case or that’s not Al Jabroni!
Simmons: That’s unfortunate, fans. Hold on, our production truck have located him!
Al sits dejectedly outside the arena with a solo cup and a cardboard sign that reads ‘WILL BUMP FOR TIX!”
Jabroni: Anyone? I’ll even do one off the car! Don’t make me miss Big Bones!
The cameras cut back to the arena.
West: Well, the next match!
MAIN EVENT - MATCH FIVE
NLW Heavyweight Championship Semi Final Match
Leon Chant vs Rafe White vs Maze vs Jason Justice
The bell rings and all four men have taken their places in their own separate corners, they’re all aware of what’s at stake and who they’ll have to face in little less than a month's time. Maze looks around him and then takes off, charging ahead at Rafe White and taking him down with a knee to the abdomen before pushing him out of the ring and following in pursuit. With that out of the ring, it leaves both Jason Justice and Leon Chant in the ring. A match dying to be had since their initial clash at the Gold Rush of MCCW, they both begin to face one another here. Both men walk to the middle of the ring and Leon brings out a hand of sportsmanship, which Jason takes and shakes the hand of Leon Chant before both men fall back into their corners.
Leon begins their encounter with a Collar and Elbow Tie Up that begins to become his advantage as the larger and bulkier man in the situation as he forces Justice to the corner, a couple of loud and thunderous chops rain down onto the chest of Justice. Chant goes to whip Justice to the opposite corner of the ring but Justice is able turn it around and whip Chant into the corner, Justice gets the running start but Chant catches him and slams him down to the mat with a Uranage Slam to the mat. Leon Chant then runs to the ropes and rebounds off the ropes to counter with the Running Big Splash down onto Justice.
On the outside it’s Maze and Rafe White and White is hammering away with the Axe Handles to the spine of Maze but Maze fires back with some elbows to the abdomen of Rafe but Rafe slams Maze’s head into an empty chair before throwing him down to the floor, Maze’s head bouncing off of the basketball court’s floor. Rafe brings his hands together in the praying gesture as Maze slowly but surely gets back to his feet as he seems to be talking to himself- or worse, The Prick- but White puts a stop to it with a Big Boot that stuns Maze and comes out of nowhere with the Judas Effect [Discus Reverse Elbow Strike] that knocks Maze out on the floor again.
Back in the ring, Jason Justice is kneeling beside a downed Leon Chant who begins crawling to the ropes. Leon is able to get back to his feet using the leverage of the ropes but Justice is also able to find his footing and grabs Leon for a Saito Suplex. Leon lands hard on his neck and sits up straight as Justice rebounds off of the ropes and connects a Penalty Kick to the chest of Leon Chant and follows up with a Standing Senton to the Hired Gun. Rafe quickly jumps up to the apron but Justice is able to Roundhouse Kick him back down and onto Maze below. Justice brings Chant back up to his feet and lands a Ripcord Knee Strike to the head, he struggles to lift up the heavy Chant as he deadlifts him up and fixates him to drop him down with the Powerbomb before rolling him onto his knees and falling back to the ropes, Justice rebounds and connects the Step Up Shining Wizard to complete the Buck Wild Combo. Justice goes for the cover but is only able to get a very close three count on Chant.
And to the outside again as we find Maze has once again taken control of things and slamming Rafe White’s head into the ring post repeatedly shouting profanities to who we’d assume to The Prick. Rafe lands a stomp to the foot of Maze and pushes him back as he climbs to the apron again, Justice tries to get involved again but he’s caught by Rafe’s Rope Aided Gamengiri. White goes for a Cannonball off of the apron to Maze but he moves out of the way and Rafe cannonballs into rows upon rows of chairs in the crowd. Maze quickly grabs onto Rafe White and throws him into the ring, Maze discovers Justice lying prone after a Running Powerslam by Chant and begins to climb up to the top rope, daring to risk it all as he falls back and drops down with the Off The Wall [Coffin Drop]. Maze hooks the leg for the cover but Chant breaks the pinfall at two.
All four men have found themselves back in the ring once again, and by looking at their state, it might be the ending for one of them. Knowing that one man is going to Homecoming is everything they have on their minds right now, and two could have their second chance at the title- their goal is to not get pinned but one man is sure to find themselves on the receiving end of it. Justice charges at Leon Chant with a Running Knee and it connects, sending the Hired Gun to the ropes. Justice charges in again and goes for another knee to knock Chant out of the ring but Chant catches him and throws him out of the ring and hard to the floor. White and Maze begin to hammer away at one another but White’s Judas Effect knocks down Maze in the corner.
It’s down to White and Chant and Rafe charges in but Chant grabs him by the throat- Rafe responds with a stomp to the foot and land a Palm Strike and then a Rolling Elbow to knock Chant into the corner, White lifts up Chant to the top rope and heads up top with him. White lays down the hammerfists to Chant and grabs his head, and with one final praying gesture, he looks to drop Chant with the God’s Last Gift from the top rope but Chant fights back. Chant is fighting for everything he has right now and grabs White by the throat, by some miracle he pops him up to his shoulders and Leon slams him down to the mat with authority with the Pop Up Powerbomb from the very top rope.
Chant struggles to get to his feet, he’s crawling on hands and knees to go for the pin but Maze grabs Leon by the head and throws him out of the ring. Maze looks down onto Rafe White and turns him over onto his stomach, grabbing the arms and locking in Rafe’s Baptise [Rings of Saturn]. Maze using The Prick Made Me Do It to Rafe White as the referee checks on White but sees he’s passed out and the bell rings, leaving Maze as the second man to enter Homecoming’s Main Event.
[WINNER: Maze via The Prick Made Me Do It (Baptise) at 18:58]
Simmons: Maze! Maze! It’s Maze versus Bollywood for the NLW Heavyweight Championship at Homecoming!
“Innervision" by System of a Down rings out through the arena as Maze releases the hold and stands tall over the fallen Rafe White. Standing by the entrance is The Director of Doom and Mr Bollywood as they begin to walk down to the ring and entering the ring, Bollywood and Maze stare down at one another. Maze shakes the hand of Bollywood as The Director of Doom slowly creeps up behind with his clipboard but Leon Chant props up on the apron and grabs the clipboard out of his hand to stop his sneak attack.
West: Chant’s stopped him! The DOD tried to attack Maze from behind!
The Director of Doom is shaken by the sudden surprise of Leon Chant grabbing the clipboard as he rushes Bollywood out of the ring and to the entrance curtain. Leon Chant and Jason Justice stand on the outside of the ring staring down The Director of Doom and Bollywood whilst Maze stands tall in the ring as the second man to enter the Main Event of Homecoming.
Simmons: What a night this was! And we’ve got a good few weeks ahead of us! Gerhard Bishop versus El Rey Combatiente and Jason Justice versus Leon Chant in two weeks for a second chance. And at the Pay Per View, it’ll be Maze versus Mr Bollywood for the NLW Heavyweight Championship!
West: It’s going to be so much fun and exciting, and with that, I’m Tommy West and that’s been Dan Simmons. Goodnight from everyone here in NLW!
Maze stands on the second rope with his arms up in the air as the feed fades to black.
