The curtains that separate the arena from the backstage area part and several members of NPW security appear, escorting Jay Stevens, Jordan Neal and Nicole Anderson. Anderson’s blonde hair is a mess and her warmup jacket is torn from the scuffle with Bloodline and NPW security. Stevens and Neal are also showing signs of battle, their clothing covered in blood.
Breaking away from the security detail, Stevens is almost immediately stopped by NPW reporter, Justin Spencer.
Spencer: Jay Stevens, that was an explosive altercation with Bloodline and you just laid the gauntlet for Mayorga, Ortega and Fuentes, a Loser Leaves Northern Pro Wrestling match.
Stevens: That’s right, we finally decided that we’ve had enough of Bloodline and that one of us has to go. I’ve known since the first day I stepped foot in NPW and encountered them that it would come to this.
Spencer: Now Bloodline accepted the challenge and I have just received word that Gus Arnold has agreed to the terms and this match will take place December 31st!
Stevens, Neal and Anderson nod and share a round of celebratory fistbumps.
Stevens: Bloodline has run over everyone in their path for years. The problem has been that no one has been willing to stand up to them. I stood up.
Spencer: And many would say that you’ve paid a price for that.
Stevens: They’ve done everything they can do to knock me down but every time they do... I stand back up. Their strength comes from numbers, so now the fight will be even. I just need to get them one-on-one to expose them for who they really are.
Spencer: That brings me to my next question. This will be a six-man tag team match and Gus Arnold has made it clear that due to policies of the Provincial Athletic Commissions, intergender wrestling is prohibited. Who will you choose as your partners?
Stevens and Neal can barely keep “Kid Dynamite” back as she tries to explode toward the microphone.
Stevens: It is something that we will have to consider. My first choices are my team here, Jordan Neal and Nicole Anderson, but we are prepared to follow the rules set by the commission. But Bloodline doesn’t need to worry about the unknown, they need to focus on what they can see right in front of them.
Jay takes the microphone from Spencer and speaks directly to the camera.
Stevens: Jordan and I are motivated. We’re hungry. We’re dangerous and unlike tonight, we can see you coming. We know what you have in your hand because you’ve already played all of your cards. We haven’t even begun to show what we’re made of.
Mayorga. Fuentes. Ortega. You’ll be running away from NPW on December thirty-first, tails tucked… that is, assuming you’ll be able to walk at all.
Jay hands the mic back to Spencer and exits with his teammates.
