Northern Pro Wrestling was coming off it's Northern Pro Does New Years show, and the landscape had been set. All eyes were on the Canadian company, as the XHF Champion came to town to defend the strap against one of it's native stars, the Only Star, Eric Dane. As the night went on, many things unraveled, and we saw the unfolding of antics that would lead us to where we are now. Timeless had left the XHF Championship bout in shambles, causing a disqualification between Dylan Black and Eric Dane, and costing Dane his championship opportunity. A double belt celebration was all but gone, as the Only Star had just made his open challenge.
On the other end of the building though, leaving the arena, was Jesse Jamester. Unusual for him to be unmasked, the 6 foot 6 inch clobberin' machine had cemented an opportunity with his partner Scott Steel this evening. He would be going for the NPW Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships. The two men, while partners, were the unlikely duo that now had an opportunity to add the some gold to the Syndicate's resume. All that stood in their way was the upcoming match with Desolation for the #1 contenders spot.
Approaching his black Ford F-150, Jesse Jamester opened the door, and threw his bag in the passenger seat. Behind him, came a reporter. The bearded veteran of the squared circle swung his hair over his shoulder as the reporter yelled his name; he thought he had escaped them for the night.
Reporter: Jesse! Jesse- Jamester! May I get a word with you?
Pausing for a moment, Jesse clears his throat, knowing full well someone would want comments on what transpired at the end of the show.
Jesse Jamester: Sure... let's make it quick though, this weather isn't letting up and I have a drive ahead of me back to Alberta.
Reporter: Absolutely sir.
Clicking the record button on a hand held device, the Reporter held it up to his mouth, pushing his glasses up the brim of his nose as he shivered in the snowy parking lot.
Reporter: Timeless-
Jesse Jamester: What about him? He just fucked himself side ways, and you think I have something to say about it? He should consider every night he's able to breath from here on a blessing - because when Dane is pissed, there is no where to hide. Satisfied?
Reporter: Yes. Now as for your next match, we have already been told it will be Scott Steel and yourself versus Desolation for the chance to face Bloodline for the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships. Does this mean that Scott Steel and you are looking to solidify your tag team here in NPW?
Jesse Jamester: To be straight up with you, we are taking on any tag team that the world has to offer. This isn't just a Northern Pro thing, this is us versus the World! Being that we have scouted the division, and Bloodline has had it easy here in NP-Dubya aye. These two boys haven't had a real challenge since they won the titles back in May of 2020, but that's about to change. I'm not going to give you the play by play Jonny-Come-Lately, but I will tell you this -- by the end of this Cruiser Weight Cup, there will be no doubt in anyone's minds who the best Tag Team in the business is. The hoss Scott Steel has all the power in the world and know-all to beat any man, and I'm blessed to have him as a partner. We make up a dynamic team that the likes of wrestling call a nightmare. That is what you call good for business.
Pausing for a moment, Jesse reaches in and starts the truck, and leaves the door open.
Jesse Jamester: Yet the rest of NPW, the ones yapping on about me? Well, they are about to get a tune up for putting my name in their mouth ya see. I played nice, showed my respect for this locker room, and in turn, when I made a brilliant business move, and aligned with my cohorts, the Syndicate. It was buisness, it wasn't personal. NOW it's personal. NOW - you have pissed me off, and I don't have a switch to turn off what that has done to me. Desolation, bring your A game, because it's the only fucking shot you got if you want to survive the night.
Reporter: Jesse one last thing-
Jesse Jamester: I've answered enough questions tonight aye. See you next year.
Jumping up in the truck, he slams the door shut and peels off out of the parking lot kicking snow up behind him, and onto the reporter, who stands in the frozen tundra of a parking lot behind the arena.
