Real Name: Jacob Thomas Devine
Wrestler Name: "The Idol" Jake Devine
Height: 6'3
Weight: 240lb
Hometown: New York City, NY (billed from Malibu, CA in California shows)
Alignment: Face
History:
The son of California real estate millionaire Thomas Devine, money has never been a motivator for Jake. Without having to work a single day on his career, Jake dedicated his life towards his passions: college football and DJing. His first claim to fame, however, was his joining of reality show Malibu Youth, a show dedicated to the life of rotten, spoiled young adults from the west coast. Using the mild fame to his name, Jake developed his Jake Idol persona, becoming an instant hit with fans of the show. In 2013, Jake's best friend, indie wrestler Ricky Cannonball, got a contract offer from the WWX. Seeing this as an opportunity to further expand his name, Jake Idol, and a repackaged Jackpot Ricky, first joined the WWX as tag team Rich and Famous, instantly challenging for the WWX Tag Team championship. Initially green as grass due to having barely any formal training and promptly hated by WWX fans, who developed the catchphrase "Rich and Awful", Jake was mostly carried by Ricky and their opponents during their matches, and with Jake's own personal hobbies of DJing and acting in C-level movies, they had a rough first couple of months.
It was upon Ricky's leg injury, which sidelined him for 8 months, that Jake finally got his big break. Using the crowd hatred for him to his advantage and showing his raw mic skills, Jake started climbing the ranks and developing both his in-ring skills and a personal love for wrestling. It was during a tour in Australia that Jake met his future wife, Megan Devine (née Cornell), and coupled with his growing popularity with the fans, saw him move away from his previous rich kid persona, relocate to New York City, and coupled with his spectacular rivalry with Tanno Waters, Jake won the WWX Television championship for the second time, becoming one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWX roster.
It was the pressure of being on top that led to Jake's downfall, however. Upon winning the 2017 Race for the Case tournament and earning a guaranteed shot at the WWX Undisputed championship, Jake snapped on newly crowned WWX champion Syndicate for stealing his spotlight. Growing pressure saw Jake no-show his WWX title shot, and disappear from the wrestling business, and the public spotlight, as a whole, for 2 years. The birth of his first kids, twins Ace and Madelyn, saw Jake find his motivation for a grand return to the WWX, and paired with a personal invite by James Ranger for the company's long awaited revival, Jake's ready to prove his worth, not only to the fans, but to himself, and finally become what he waited so long to be: the undisputed WWX World champion.

Special entrance info:
Theme song: Foals - What Went Down
The arena lighting changes to a dark blue hue as the starting riff of What Went Down plays.
"I BURIED MY HEART IN A HOLE IN THE GROUND"
The light flashes alongside with the drums.
"WITH THE LIGHTS AND THE ROSES AND THE COWARDS DOWNTOWN"
The lights flash with the drums again.
"THEY THREW ME A PARTY THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND"
A silhouette appears on the stage
"THEY TRIED TO CALL MY GIRL BUT SHE COULD NOT BE FOUND"
The lights brighten up ever so slightly, Jake Devine standing on the middle of the stage, with his head low, wearing a white jacket. He walks down the stage, his head still hanging down low, not paying mind to the crowd, while the lyrics continue to describe Jake's overall story. He gets to the steps and crouches, his back to the barricades, the fans giving him a few taps as he raises his head. He walks up the steps, as the song starts picking up, walking around the canvas and looking at the crowd, before jumping the top rope into the ring, striking a pose with his arms open.
