2020 JROK Year End Awards Show

[Kira Izumi]

we see an extravagant stage set up on the roof of the JROK HQ in Sapporo. there's a podium with the JROK logo on it as well as fancy golden awards set up as well. we see Kira Izumi walk up to the platform with a JROK mask on.

Kira: "Welcome everyone to the 2020 end of the year awards show. we're happy to have everyone here tonight and we're even more happy to be able to reward the hard work everyone has put into last year. but first we have to thank Mountain Dew for sponsoring this event. Do the dew and drink Mountain Dew!"

Kira: "now that that's out of the way, we'll open up to the first award of the evening. Most Improved of the year. now each canidate really has grown last year so much, but here's the top three.

Kira: "coming in at number three... Brendan Harding! and number two... we have a tie. it's SKY Force, Momoko Honda, and Randy Angel! and number one..."

Kira: "This person really has turned around by the end of the year. it's one of the top rookies this year... Deco! please come down to accept your award."

[Deco]

Deco appears via satellite from her apartment. In the background, her little sister Evelynn can be seen jumping around and shouting, excitedly. Deco can't help but grin ear to ear as she tries to start speaking a few times, but is overwhelmed by the YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYs coming from Eve.

Deco: Eve, honey... heheh... you'll have to give me a second...

It takes a few tries before Eve calms down, but Deco continues.

Deco: This is a true honor to receive this award. I've been busting heads and kicking teeth in for a while now, but to finally be recognized for how far I've come, well... it means a ton.

She smiles, staring at the ground for a moment, before biting her lip and smirking back into the camera.

Deco: But 2020 was just the start, baby. 2021 is gonna be the Year of the Deco. Mark your calendars, because this year? I'm not stopping until I'm on top of the world.

She winks as the feed cuts out.

[Kira Izumi]

Kira: "thanks for that Deco. She really is one to look out for this coming year. but the next award is for match of the year. there were tons of amazing matches in JROK this year and the votes showed! to kick us off in Third place with a four way tie.

Kira: " Third place for match of the year is Hanako Takeuchi vs. Maverick at Jam Sessions Ep. 5, Yuki Sakaraba vs Steve Awesome at Raison D'Etere, PURE vs Kado at Raison D'Etere, and Fukushima Zombie vs Death Trap at Encore Ep 6."

Kira: "Second place is also a tie. with Maverick vs Maverick at Raison D'Etere, Esmerelda Kanyon vs Deco vs Wolf Fang Ayame vs Dylan Black at EOD week 1, and SKY Force vs Dodo-A-Gogo at EOD week 1.

Kira: "and first place... the 2020 match of the year is Brad Swann vs STRiFE for the JROK Visual Kei Championship at EOD week 1. now if either would like to step up..."

[STRiFE]

A moment passes before STRiFE's face can be seen on the screen. The satellite picture is quite clear as STRiFE takes a seat in a leather chair.

STRiFE: These awards are never on my mind when I enter the ring. My goal is always to go out there and win the match. I'd like to say that most athletes are built the same way. However, it's cool to be recognized for your craft in this manner. 

There's a slight pause.

STRiFE: I'm going to dedicate this award to people who have had my back this year in J-ROK. The Kurokawa family has been amazing. All of them are highly talented. And it's great to share the ring with like minded people. I won this award this year, but I suspect they will pick it up next time. 

She nods.

STRiFE: Thanks.

The feed fades outs.

[Kira Izumi]

Kira: "All of Kado were on a tear this year. and it showed! but from match of the year to most underrated of the year. we had many good choices, but the fans and fellow wrestlers have made their voices heard."

Kira: "in third place we have Miguel Diaz. a guy who's really been putting in the work and may be champion again in 2021."

Kira: "in second place we have Deco. She's really been showing the world just how much potential she has. only time will tell just how far she'll go."

Kira: "in first place we have..."

Kira: "Dylan Black! a guy i may of tried to shoot and the guy who's not booked every show, but one who's well deserving of this award. now on to you Dylan..."

[Dylan]

A pause, before Dylan's face comes in.

Dylan: Under-rated of the Year. That sure is something. I guess that's to be had when you go from being the curtain jerker to the top champion in the entire XHF Network.

He smirks, raising the X*Crown into frame.

Dylan: So what's in store for 2021? Obviously retaining the X*Crown as long as I can... Maybe I should go for the King of Hokkaido Tournament. Maybe become the person to take down STRiFE...

He chuckles, hoping STRiFE sees this.

Dylan: Nah... you'll just have to wait and see.

Sharp cut back to Kira.

[Kira Izumi]

Kira: "big words from the big champ himself! now we move onto the most shocking moment of the year. there sure were many, but here's what you voted for."

Kira: "number 3! Maverick beating well Maverick! and Bodhi ending Takeuchi's xhf women's title reign."

Kira: "number 2! me being the owner and Darlene Price Returning! and number one... the X*Crown coming to JROK! honestly it's something i never thought would come here or happen. but Dylan did it and brought the big one to the best fed!"

Kira: "so uh... i hope you didn't take a shit or anything Dylan because we need your ass back out here!"

[Dylan]

Cut back to Dylan.

Dylan: You're welcome for bringing J-ROK from some rinky-dink backyard shitshow into the global phenomenon it is today.

Raise the X*Crown defiantly.

Cut to Kira.

[Kira Izumi]

Kira: "your X*Crown champion everyone. now onto show of the year. i'll accept this award in place of the whole roster and staff. in third place is Psychedelic Violence; Crime of Visual Shock: EOD Week 1"

Kira: "in second place is Solf-fa and first place is Raison D'Etere. all three shows were incredible from top to bottom, but Raison D'Etere continues the tradition of SSS in having the best action of the year! thanks to everyone who worked on that show."

Kira: "now onto the next award, feud of the year. third place is JROK vs FWA, Daisuke Tokugawa vs Dylan Black and Off The Wagon vs Eric Havoc."

Kira: "second place is Brad Swann vs STRiFE. and first place is... SKY Force's fight to the tag team titles! if anyone from SKY Force would like to tune in they can now."

[Kira Izumi]

Kira: "must have technical difficulties. well now onto tag team of the year! this one well... only had two teams voted for. man no one even voted for MOTM. anyways in second place is a team who became a double champion. who held the super duos titles for half the year. it's Dodo-A-Gogo!"

Kira: "and first place goes to the only other team to hold gold this year, the first to bring the xhf tag titles to JROK. it is SKY Force! lets hope their feed works this time."

[Hayley Grimes]

Hayley Grimes pops up on the screen wearing the above outfit.

"Hope this is fitting enough for an awards show. I didn't even think I would be the one doing this, being the newest member of the group. Thanks to the voters, umm thanks to the fans. Suzuki is back in America doing I don't know what, Rin is in America probably doing something I can't mention of stream. Shiu is asleep, so that leaves me. Heres to many more sky force success. Remember grimes for best thighs make it happen. Peace out"

[Kira Izumi]

Kira: "very nice words from SKY Force. now onto the outsider of the year! this one was very unpredictable and the voting showed! now onto third place! it's a tie between Jason Justice, Rock Hearts and Power Buff Girlz."

Kira: "Second place is the ReVanents and Brad Swann ."

Kira: "and first place is another tie! we'll give all winners a chance to speak for this one. the winners are; Steve Awesome, El Combatiente, and Yuki Sakaraba! all three of you can take a turn to speak now."

we cut to see Yuki appear on screen.

Yuki Sakaraba: "it's an honor to win this award. i'll be sure to continue to represent Die Macht and LAW well."

[Venom 🕷]

We cut to the screen where we find Javier the manager of El Combatiente smiling.

Javier: Hello from Alaska. I accept this award on his behalf. He is sorry he could not be there tonight but he is training for his SWAT Championship defense. He prepared something in case he won. He said: Thank you. I am fond of my time with J-Rok. I got my first chance to team with Dylan Black and a friendship has emerged. I hope to visit again in 2021.

[Steve Awesome]

A live stream kicks on to show Zelda Knite sitting in front of her computer screen looking at the camera.

Zelda: Oh hey J-Rok! Zelda Knite here, Just taking a second away from hanging dong on Cyberpunk to make this little message for you. As you know, Steve Awesome is currently not allowed to step foot in a J-Rok ring or J-Rok television. But we still wanted to do something to accept the award for best outsider. Honestly, I think it’s pretty lame that we have to share this honor with Elroy Jetson and that mist spraying be-yotch named Yuki Suckalotta!

Zelda smiles and nods her head.

Zelda: But we do have somebody in the Awesome family instead. Ladies and gentlemen this is sort of a big deal. There is a lot of mystique to this guy. He has traveled through the annals of time, space and your mother. He hails from the places where men become warriors. Ladies and gentlemen I give you, The Awesomest Warrior!!!!!!!

The lights in the room go dark and one spotlight shines down on a man with his back to the camera. The way the spotlight reflected off the oil all over his muscles made his look like a slick, shiny god!

“HOXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXWAXXXXXXXXX”

A loud guttural snort emanates from the soul of the warrior.

“When I heard that my friend TEEBOSSUM needed a powerful hand to help him accept this award I jumped into my land submarine and I traveled through the electronic waves of the internet to be there for him!”

He slowly turns around to reveal himself as clearly Steve Awesome in face paint but he flexes his massive arms toward the sky’s and he screams.

“FOR I AM THE AWESOMEST WARRIORRRRRRRROOOHHHHHHHHAHHHH!!!!!!!”

A loud crackle of thunder is heard.

“I thank you for this honor on behalf of TEEBOSSUM and I leave you with this trinket of knowledge…..”

He took a deep breath and snarled as he focused.

“Mmmmmmmmmmm——You are not truly a man till you are a warrior. You are not truly a warrior until you are a man. But I am something far greater. As I was destined to be when my mothers birthed me in a cauldron eons ago with stone, iron, a bear's eye and the soul of a dragonfly!”

He raises a fist into the air.

“I VOW TO DISPLAY THIS TRINKET OF GRATITUDE ON MY MANTLE IN MY CASTLE OF FIRE AND ICE FOR CENTURIES TO COME!

“Oh and one more thing….”

He drops the act and flashes that punchable cocky little smirk that makes you know regular Steve is back.

“Suck it J-Rok!”

Fade out on the crotch chop.
