I enjoyed that, The Colossus do you know if that's in Open D or Open C? (I did some research to try and find out but no tabs on that particular song). Shame he left us early, I'll be adding that to my 'Work' Spotify list if I can. Good use of one instrument to build up the full body of a song. Song: Filthy Dirty South Band: Rising Appalachia Album: Filthy Dirty South Genre: Southern Gothic Year Released: 2012 Any other stuff you want us to know? - They're not as hipster gospel as Delta Rae

Fun little song. I remember hearing some character in a animated movie singing it but I don't know which.
Song: Golden Eagle Band: AJJ Album: The Bible 2 Genre: Folk Punk Year Released: 2014 Any other stuff you want us to know? - The video is set up to play at the start of the song, the song ends around the 5 and a half minute mark. Doing this band again since the last person didn't comment on them when I posted them. This song was inspired by the Steve Carrell film Foxcatcher

Not too bad, voice was kind of Chad VanGaalen. Guitar very 00's Indie. I'd listen to it in a pub, not sure I'd pay cashmoney though.
Song: The Girl Can't Dance Band: Bunker Hill Album: Literally only released on the B-side of a Link Wray EP Genre: Extreme Rock n Roll Year Released: 1963 Any other stuff you want us to know? - Bunker Hill was a prize-fighter who literally released like four songs at most.

Pleasant sound, reminiscent of the traditional country and southern gospel sound I would hear my parents and grandparents play when I was growing up. Very George Jones like vibes from the song.
Song: Let Her Go Band: Ballyhoo! Album: Girls Genre: Beach Rock(W/ Doo Wop influence for this track) Year Released: 2017 Any other stuff you want us to know? - One of my favorite bands. Beach influenced pop punk sound, the band has been around for awhile but deserve a lot more recognition.

That made me nostalgic for a time that never really existed. The guitar work in that kind of 50s pop-rock genre has never really been given its due. I'm glad to see someone is doing it well.
Song: Woken Furies
Band: GUNSHIP
Album: Dark All Day
Genre: Synthwave/Retrowave
Year Released: 2018
So I grew up with 80s movies. I've seen pretty much every sci-fi, horror, and low-budget action movie from that era (Canon Films represent) and one thing that always stuck with me about that time is how good the scores were. Quite often I remember the music more than the movie. Rainy streets with dark skies lit by smoky street lights. That's GUNSHIP's music in a nutshell. But what makes them different from, say, Mega Drive, is that they aren't interested in just recreating the sound. They take that sound and shape it into something new and contemporary.

Thanks for the pre-amble,@ banned. I got Lost Boy vibes listening to it (may put that OsT on next). Some great use of synth on the keys and bass, ambience and vocals. Song: Perfection Band: Oh Land! Album: Oh Land! Genre: Synth-pop Year Released: 2011 Notes: enjoy

Ooh, this reminds me of Massive Attack/Mono/Portishead. Good shit! This is going in my regular rotation. Song: Goodbye Band: FM-84 featuring Clive Farrington Album: Atlas Genre: Retrowave Year Released: 2016 Notes: Since banned brought up retrowave, I thought it apropos to bring up the song that turned me onto retrowave. FM-84 has only done one track with Clive--usually, they collab with Ollie Wride if they're not doing instrumental stuff--which is really a shame because his voice is just so, so smooth.

Song: Death Is Eternal Bliss Band: Eleh Album: Radiant Intervals Genre: Modular Drone Year Released: 2016 Notes: This is the field I make music in, So the appeal here is going to be limited. But Eleh is a peer of mine, on a label I want to release music on, and that's about it.

Interesting, Wook. I can’t say it’s my cup of tea but I did manage to work to it. It was like a less distorted Sunn-O song. May I ask, why this genre to work within? Purely out of curiosity.
Song: Little White Lies Band: Deer Tick Album: Born on Flag Day Genre: Alt-Country Year Released: 2009
Notes: One of many bands I got into when seeing a Californian hipster at uni. This version is better IMO than the live version. Fun fact: the band live end some shows doing Nirvana as Deervana
