Scene opens up backstage, displaying on the stage projection screen for the fans in attendance. We see the Canadian Nightmare, Jesse Jamester walking backstage in his street clothes. Not scheduled for the evening’s card, we can only assume he is up to no good.
Arriving at a locker room door, we see “CWC talent” listed on the door. Swinging the door open, Jesse walks into what appears to be an empty room. From the very back behind a locker, Eron Hunter leans forward, unphased by the presence of Jesse.
Jesse Jamester: There you are!
Walking closer, Jesse stops just a few feet from Eron, who’s eyes narrow as he looks on for a reason why Jesse is here.
Jesse Jamester: Been looking all over for you Eron. Wanted to make sure I wished you luck prior to tonight’s series in the cruiser cup. So, good luck…
Patting Eron on the shoulder, Jesse lingers for a moment, hand still cuffing his shoulder blade.
Jesse Jamester: I know you don’t need it though, with the way you handled yourself last week against Gebin, fuckin’ aye my man! Not many people do it like you do.
Eron Hunter looks down at Jesse’s hand on his shoulder and back to Jesse, eyebrows raised as he considers the compliment and it’s intent.
Jesse Jamester: Look, I know you’re the strong silent type, so no need to say anything. We got your back, if you need us Eron.
Winking, Jesse removes his hand only to give Eron one more hardy pat on the back.
Jesse Jamester: Give’em hell tonight, and take home that Cup!
Leaving the room in the same fashion he entered, door swinging wildly open, Jesse disappears. In his wake, Eron Hunter leans back against the wall, contemplating what that all meant.

Singles Match
20 Minute Time Limit
Bryan Chase vs. Jeffrey Daniels
--
This match could set the tone for both men going forward. Bryan Chase was the centre of controversy during the final months of 2020, and has been largely favoured by the crowd in most of his contests. He's up against Jeffrey Daniels, who is developing a cult following, and has already mixed it up with some of the top guys in Northern Pro. That, and there seems to be an affiliation between Jeffrey and Jeff Andrews - which only serves to heighten things should Jeff Andrews ever decide to be truly hands on.
As expected, these two youngsters were throwing caution to the wind at every turn.
JD caught Chase with a nasty super kick, after an ill timed cross body attack from Chase. The impact was massive, and the crowd gasped wondering if Bryan Chase might be dead. He wasn't, as he somehow got his shoulder up before the three count.
Chase has proven to be durable, after run-ins with the who's who of the NPW roster, the youngster bounces back, and doesn't back down. No better nod of approval than that of the X*Crown Champion; Dylan Black. Andrews would look to follow up his offence, but Chase ducked a super kick, swerved underneath, and caught Andrews with a hook clothesline from short range. Chase picked Andrews up and spoked him with a tombstone, before hitting the top rope and coming off with a flying elbow drop!!

NO
Andrews was able to kickout before the final 3 count. The crowd thought it might be over, but Jeffery showed resilience.
Once Chase brought Andrews back up to a neutral base, he backed him into the corner with strikes, before iris whipping him across the ring. Chase followed with a running back elbow, which Andrews side stepped, and hit Chase an up-kick - followed by a running knee lift that caught Chase clean.
Chase wobbled on his feet, refusing to go down, showing tremendous chin.
WHACK!!
Andrews skipped forward and blasted Chase with a super kick! He caught him clean. Andrews fell on top.

The referee called for the bell, award the match to Jeffrey Daniels!
Winner: Jeffrey Daniels (8:12) via Superkick!
Andrews rolled out of the ring and hi-fived a few fans on his way out. Chase got to his feet, holding his jaw. He bowed to the fans, who stood and applauded his efforts. Two young lions giving it their all, both of whom might find themselves involved in next year's CWC.

Gus Arnold stood in the middle of the ring with the Cruiserweight Cup beside him. he trophy stood nearly four feet, and had name plates around the base of the previous winners. Gus said that tonight was the night, and that there would be a winner of this coveted trophy, and the same man would earn an XHF Jr. Heavyweight Opportunity at Vicious Valentine's.
Gus applauded the efforts of the four renaming competitors and cited it as a major accomplishment to have advanced to this point. Gus believed that this tournament was anyone's to win, and that any of the four remaining competitors would be truly deserving of the honour.
Gus asked for the first two competitors to make their way out to ringside, to get the final four underway.

Semi Final #1
No Time Limit
Chris 'Trigger' Cavanagh vs. Eron Hunter
--
These two men exchanged words in the build up to the match, both with a belief in themselves and their respective abilities inside of the ring. Both men tout different styles inside of the ring, and both men would make for excellent representatives of the Cruiserweight Division going forward. Beyond earning the Cruiserweight Cup, and a Jr. Heavyweight Title match - but the opportunity to wrestle the North American Cruiserweight Champion; Lord Dominicus must also weigh on their minds. 'Trigger' nearly defeated him, and while Eron Hunter has been in Northern Pro Wrestling for all but three months - he has yet to challenge the Lord.
Two men at the top of their games, two men with excellent futures, and two men who will help carry Northern Pro Wrestling through 2021 and beyond.
The match started out with Chris Cavanagh, using his experience and strength advantage to keep Hunter at bay. The scouting report is out and being passed around in regards to Hunter - try to keep him grounded, or you'll end of paying in spades.
Trigger knew this was going to be his ticket to success, and if he could force Hunter to carry his body weight on top of his own, it would serve well to drain his gas tank. A reverse chin lock is where things started, but that lead into cuffing crosface blows from both sides, forcing Hunter to try and cover up from the shots. They were legal, as Trigger used his forearm to deliver the force.
When Hunter tried to block, Cav took side position, and locked in an arm triangle, and started to squeeze. Hunter ws trapped, but he used his core strength to roll backwards, reversing the pressure of the hold to put immense pressure on Cav's arms. Hunter was finally able to slip out, and he snatched Trigger's arm and started to extended it with a reverse Fujiwara arm-bar. The referee was in position, and asked Trigger if he wanted to give it up, but he laughed it off, before reaching out to grab the ropes and force a break.
The referee separated them, but when he did, he had his back to Trigger, who decided to reach around and execute a low blow to Hunter. Hunter was down to one knee, which is where Trigger hit the ropes and nailed Hunter with a running knee strike. He caught him flush.
1..
2...
NO
Hunter kicked out. Trigger didn't seem worried, as he stalked Hunter, looking for the right moment to strike again. As Hunter tried to get up. Trigger kicked him in the ribs. Hunter was clearly in pain. Trigger picked Hunter up over his head in a press slam position, and dropped Hunter straight down across his knee, further targeting Hunter's ribs.
Trigger could be heard telling the crowd that 'If he can't breathe, he can't win.'
The younger Cavanagh brother looked proud of himself. Trigger then decided to wrap Hunter up in the ropes. He grabbed him by the cheeks, and squeezed, forcing Hunter gasp for air, before Trigger slapped him, telling Hunter he was 'nothing.' Hunter tried to fight back, but his arms were tied up, and the referee was trying to get him out. While the referee struggled to do so, Trigger threw a few nasty knife edge chops on the unprotected chest of Hunter.
Once Hunter was finally released, Trigger taunted him and played to the crowd.
Trigger picked Hunter up, and draped him over his shoulder, before running forward and planting him with a running power slam. He held for the cover.
1...
2...
TH-NO!
Hunter showed tremendous heart, refusing to stay down.
Trigger didn't seem to mind, as his taunting continued. Trigger picked Hunter up, and executed a butterfly lock, before hoisting Hunter up and he was about to spike him, but Hunter used his knee to catch Trigger right in the nose. Water filled Cav's eyes, and he was forced to drop Hunter. He did so, in ah heap, but Hunter had bought himself some time.
As Trigger cleared the cob webs, he lunged forward, but Hunter wrapped him up and held tight with a small package.
1..
2...
NO!!
OHHHHHH
So close, as Trigger was almost the victim of the surprise attack rom Hunter. Hunter held his ribs, wincing, forcing himself to get to his feet to face to tormentor face to face, mano a mano. Trigger took a swing, but Hunter ducked, and hit him with a back elbow. This backed Trigger off, so Hunter hit the ropes and blasted him with a perfectly executed drop kick! This knocked Trigger through the ropes and onto the outside.
Hunter flipped his hair back, while holding his ribs. Hunter hit the ropes, gathered speed and jumped from the ring, clearing the top rope with a nasty corkscrew plancha!!
WOOOOOOWWW!!!
HOLY! PLEASE DONT DIE!!
The plancha landed somewhat clean, but Hunter did damage to himself as well. That's just the type of competitor he is - willing to put his body at risk to take out his opponent. The referee was counting and got to 7, before Hunter got to his feet at the same time as Trigger. Hunter rolled Trigger under the rope, before getting to the apron, and climbing the top rope!
CRRAAASSSSHH!!!
Hunter a 450 splash, but Trigger moved out of the way!
Trigger was savvy enough to roll out of the way. Hunter held his gut, trying to catch his breath. Trigger slapped on a crossface submission , and wrenched Hunter's neck with as much force as he could muster. The crowd thought this was going to be the end. A valiant effort from Hunter, but succumbs to a brilliant strategy from 1/3rd of the Celtic Club.
Somehow, Hunter fought and was able to dangle his leg under the bottom rope to force a rope break. Trigger looked frustrated, he was no longer on his high horse, assuming victory. He now knew he was in a for a fight with a wrestler who truly exemplified the warrior spirit.
The referee checked on Hunter, who nodded that he was able to continue and wanted to keep fighting. Trigger walked forward, and launched Hunter with a belly to belly overhead suplex.
1..
2..
NO!!!
Another kickout from Hunter who refused to die. Trigger smiled, knowing that lesser men would've already quit, or succumbed to their injuries. Hunter was getting to his feet, and Trigger kicked him in the gut. Hunter folded over, allowing Trigger a chance to run forward with a FLIP PILEDRIVER!!
BUT Hunter blocked it when Trigger was about to use his momentum to drive Hunter's head to the mat, Hunter sat down, used his arms to hook Trigger's legs and fell forward, holding for a pin!
1..
2...
3!!
KICKOUT
DING DING DING!
The referee called for the bell, it appears as though Hunter was able to hold Trigger down for the three count! The crowd is going bananas, and Trigger can't believe it! Trigger hit Hunter with everything he could, and came within an eye-lash of winning the contest, but it wasn't to be.
Winner: Eron Hunter (13:44) Via Rollup!
Hunter knew he had escaped, so he exited the ring and attempted to catch his breath. It took effort, but Hunter raised his hand, while holding his ribs, absorbing the adoration of the crowd. Inside of the ring. Chris Cavangh couldn't believe it, and pointed to Hunter, saying that this wasn't over and that he would see him again.
The final shot is of an exhausted Eron Hunter having his hand raised by the NPW official, before our scene cuts away.

Semi Final #2
30 Minute Time Limit
Jay Stevens vs. Adrien Cochrane
--
The second semi final match for the Cruiser Weight Cup was next. Adrien Cochrane had previously taken the victory from Lord Dominicus, with some assistance, unbeknownst to him. As Jay Stevens had a decisive victory over Tyrone Walker on night 3 as well.
The two men, respectfully flaring with confidence, had made their respective entrances to the ring, and after a quick check from the referee, the match was underway. Jay Stevens from Jacksonville, Florida, and Adrien Cochrane from New Orleans, Louisiana, the battle for the south was about to be settled between the two gentlemen.
Adrien and Jay tied up in the center of the ring. Off the get go, Adrien showed his speed to out maneuver and counter Stevens. Slipping from holds, leveraging his smaller size to get away from his opponent. A Tom and Jerry like beginning without the theatrics, as Adrien catapulted himself off the ropes and delivered a hellacious lariat to take Stevens off his feet.
Cochrane delivered heavy and fast strikes to a rising Stevens before getting caught with a belly to back overhead suplex that took the air out of his sails. Stevens would focus on the ground combat he was masterful at. Working the knee of Adrien, Jay bent and contorted Adrien in the middle of the ring, hoping to get him to tap. Adrien found the ropes and the hold was broken up.
Focusing in on the knee, Stevens attacked meticulously, knowing he could keep the agile Adrien from using his full moveset if he immobilized him. Catching Adrien with a leg sweep, Stevens locked on an ankle lock following, and put pressure on the back of Cochrane’s knee, not letting him move from the position near the ropes. Adrien rolled over, grabbing the bottom rope, but Stevens wasn’t ready to let go, letting the referee’s count go to three before he let go. Stevens motioned for Adrien to get up, maybe to assess the damage of his holds, and as he did, Stevens rushed him looking for an STO.
Adrien dropped to the mat, delivering a drop toe hold on Jay, guillotining him on the second rope! Adrien bounced up, launching himself over the top rope, and leg dropping Stevens across the back, sending him to the outside as well!
Taking some time to recover, Adrien nursed his knee as he used the apron to stand up. The leg drop doing more damage to Jay than Adrien, but nonetheless, it still hurt the flying star in his attempt to get the momentum in his favor. Adrien hooked Jay by the neck and tossed him into the ring. Climbing the apron, Adrien pointed down at the prone Jay, and launched his body over the top rope once more, this time into the ring with a senton splash, rolling off of his opponent and then hooking the leg.
Stevens would kick out at two, showing he was still in the fight. Adrien looked at the turnbuckle, but appeared hesitant on climbing, and instead picked up Stevens and whipped him to it. Heading towards him with speed, Adrien splashes Stevens in the corner with his full weight, hooking the neck, AC comes out of the corner with a bulldog that shakes the ring on impact! Jay looking in bad shape, as Adrien ascends the nearest turnbuckle. He had Jay where he wanted him. Launching himself into the air, the spectacle of height he would get was awe striking, as fans ‘oooooohed’ the display, only to gasp as Stevens put up his knees before impact!
Stevens was dazed but he wasn’t done, and the counter bought him time. Gripping Adrien’s neck, he applied a grapevine sleeper, wrapping his legs around his body to hold him in place. With the hold locked in, Adrien was struggling to breath, especially after the air was driven from his lungs from the counter.
Adrien rolled over, helping himself in reaching the bottom ropes, and locked his hand on to break the hold. Stevens took a moment to get up, but stalked Adrien when he did. Waiting for Adrien who used the ropes to stand, Jay Stevens went for the belly-to-belly, Adrien headbutted him to break it, SUPERKICK!
As a last ditch effort Adrien hit the kick, but missed the chin, hitting Jay Steven’s in the shoulder and in the process of his momentum Adrien ended up on the mat. Rolling under the bottom rope, he ascended the top rope again, this time slower. As he reached the top rope, Jay Stevens popped up like a possessed man, sprinting up the turnbuckles, BELLY-TO-BELLY!
The roar of the crowd from the maneuver was heard in the next territory over! A loud thud was heard as Adrien’s back hit the canvas, Jay’s body on him, hooking the leg, Stevens rolled his upper body nearly on Adrien’s neck to lock the pin up tight.
Winner: Jay Stevens with a Super Belly-to-Belly Suplex. (23:44)
A hard fought contest by both men, who gave it their all. Jay had scouted his opponent well, and it paid off as his arm was raised in victory. Adrien rolled to the apron, shaking his head; a war he was ready for, but not able to win. Battle had ceased, and Jay Stevens was the victor.

[Vignette.]
The shot opens on the view of a rapidly passing by blue sunny sky. There are a few clouds in the shot, but their blitzing past and it's clear whomever has started this video is currently driving at a rapid speed. As if to answer the question, a voice cuts through the video.
Ace: "Oh for the love of......have I got it on rear-facing camera again?"
There's a slight jerk on the video, as it's clear the driver has taken his hand off the wheel, but a moment later the camera is flipped and we see the inside of an expensive looking car, and currently in the driver's seat is a smiling, dark haired and well groomed, man. He is dressed in a dark blue suit, his white collared shirt only with it's top two buttons undone, but the biggest feature on his face has to be the mile wide smile. His eyes flicker to the road and then back to the camera as he starts to speak.
Ace: "Greetings NPW fans! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ace Andrews and I am, simply put, the greatest wrestler alive today. Now, I know, I know. So many different people claim that title, with their words. So many different people try claim that title by their actions. There are even others still, that print the words on a T-Shirt, wear it, and think thats enough to make you believe. I've met all these people. I've even done a lot of what they do myself. It's an ego thing. Excuse me a moment."
Ace starts to slow down slightly, changing the gear and glancing around before making a turn. He slowly pulls up somewhere, opening his window and leaning towards it with a smile.
Ace: "Afternoon Gary. Is the Ace-Jet ready for me?"
Gary: "Ready and fueled Mr. Andrews. Taking off again?"
Ace: "Got some business to take care of in Canada. Thank you, Gary."
Ace leans back and winds the window up before slowly pulling forward and then glancing towards the camera.
Ace: "Now, as I was saying, when I claim to be the best wrestler in the world, I don't make such an open claim without significant history behind me. For nearly twenty years I have wrestled all over the globe, with all different styles, and against all sorts of opponents. I've main-evented shows at places like the Tokyo Dome, Madison Square Garden, and Ford Stadium. I have fought the tallest, the strongest, and the fastest. I've faced them all, and time and time again, I've found their weakness, exploited it, and proven I am better then them. It's not just a boast, it's a pure evidence based fact, that when I say I am the Best In The World, I mean it. And how did I get so good? Simple really. I paid for the best training money could buy. In fact....."
Ace slowly pulls his car over, reaching for the phone and then slipping out the passenger door, and we see he is now on a tarmac. As he takes two steps away, he pauses to show off the car behind himself, a silver Bugatti Chiron. He then turns the camera to show off a private jet that is waiting for him, with four Ace cards on it's tail, and then finally faces the camera at himself again and flashes that giant smile.
Ace: "I buy all the good things in life. Fast Cars. Private Jets. Sweet little senoritas with low morales and even lower hip sizes. If it can be bought, I buy it. If it can't be bought, I steal it. And when it comes to the wrestling business, I have time and again climbed that mountain, and proven that I am, simply, the best. And now.....now I'm coming to NPW. Another mountain to climb. Another stage to steal. Another rung on the career of the best wrestler in the world. You might even say it's.....glorious."
Ace grins and winks right at the camera there before he heads towards the jet. As he gets closer, the stairway slowly descends and two long legged blondes stand at the top of them, dressed as stewardesses, even though their skirts are far too short and their dresses far too tight. Ace blows them both a kiss before he shifts to look into the camera again.
Ace: "So, our time runs out for now, but consider this an open warning NPW, and even the rest of the XHF network if you're watching. I'm coming. I'm coming for your titles. I'm coming for your stage. And I'm coming to make sure that you all get the message. So when I finally decide to hang up my boots, and walk away from it all, everyone will realise the same thing. That you've Just Been ACED!!"
And as Ace says it, he flashes up four Ace cards from his wrist, holding the pose for a moment and then pressing them into the camera and it cuts to black on a simple message.
[ACE ANDREWS.]

Singles Match
30 Minute Time Limit
'The Professional’ Leon Van Zandt vs. Primal
--
In what could only be described as the most peculiar match to ever have taken place in Northern Pro - Primal and Leon Van Zandt were scheduled to square off in a very intriguing affair. Leon made his way out first, and did some last minute stretching in his corner, as he awaited his opponent to arrive.
Primal made his way out with a box that had a bow on it. Perhaps another present? If it's anything like his body hair gifts that he sent out, we're left to assume that Leon was the newest recipient of Primal's hairballs. Gross.
Primal was muttering to himself the whole towards the ring about being 'Under Appreciated' and how his feelings were hurt. Leon kept his eyes locked on Primal, knowing how unpredictable he is and he didn't want to fall victim to any sort of blindside. When Primal finally entered the ring, he gestured as if he might gift the box in his possession to Leon, only to take it back and say that he wouldn't appreciate it anyways.
The referee approached, asking Primal if he was ready to fight, and Primal ignored him while continuing to mutter to himself how disappointed he was based on the lack of appreciation for the thoughtful gifts he sent around to the NPW Locker room. The ref looked at the time keeper, who was asking if he should ring the bell or not. The referee shrugged and told him to ring it, because what else was he supposed to do?
Primal then went to hug the referee, which completely repulsed him. The ref told Primal he needed to fight, and the match was underway. Seeing an opening. Leon crept up behind Primal and caught him with a school boy roll up!

Primal's leg begin kicking.
3!
Winner: Leon Van Zandt (0:08) via School Boy.
Leon exited the ring, the referee followed and raised his hand in victory. A embarrassed and potentially heartbroken Primal slumped in the ring, fighting off tears. Someone find this guy a therapist! He looks sad, then enraged, now back to distracted. Its hard being misunderstood.

[Backstage.]
Adrien Cochrane by all rights is having a tough night, coming up just short against the young fireplug Jay Stevens was nothing to be ashamed of, but the sting of loss was still there.
Cochrane was toweling sweat out of his hair…
When he was met at full speed by the Aurochs who using a spear drove himself and Cochrane through a nearby wall and into what used to be an office, but had been renovated into a rubble-strewn mess.
Scott Steel and Eric Dane followed in tow. Steel wearing a mask, which was labeled with his own name down the nose piece and his wrestling attire, SLF logo on the back of his leather vest.
Eric Dane was suited and booted, having no reason to be dressed to wrestle on this night as he was not scheduled to compete. Steel was about to join the fray when a hand on the big man’s chest by Dane stopped him.
Dane: Have you seen Jesse?
Steel shrugged at the mention of Jamester. Though not calling him Lizardman may have had something to do with Steel’s burningly intense lack of knowledge. Dane appeared to be mildly annoyed by this.
Dane: Seriously?
The Only Star rolled his eyes before ducking through the hole in the wall and stepping into the construction zone that now existed thanks to the Aurochs. The big man himself had rolled off of Adrien and was now half hacking/half giggling his way back to his feet. Meanwhile Adrien was at Ground Zero, unable to catch his breath with all of the dirt, dust, and exploded drywall in the air.
Not to mention the liquified mess that was his ribcage.
The NPW Champion made a face before squatting down. He spoke plainly and with no malice, but his words were meant to be taken seriously as always.
Dane: You came to my house with your chest all puffed out, kid. How’d that turn out for ya?
The Dropkick King gurgled an answer, coughing and spitting blood as he gasped for air. Eric leaned in even close, the tone of his voice changed for the worse.
Dane: You stuck your nose in my business, kid. Not smart.
He smirked. Behind him Scott Steel loomed like some kind of masked monolith.
Dane: Your business in NPW is finished, Adrien, and this is the only pass you’ll get. If I ever see your cute little face again I’ll have Scott tear it off and eat it. This is a fight that you don’t want and that you can’t win. Now I told Jay that I wouldn’t lay hands on you tonight and I haven’t, you lost fair and square. Go home, wherever that is. Lie to your kid and tell him how great you did up in the great white North, honestly I don’t give a fuck what you do, just stay the hell out of my business unless you want to end up on a table in a bag.
He lets that simmer for a moment.
Dane: Everything you ever heard about me is true, kid, don’t fucking test me.
With a grunt and the popping of aged knees The Only Star stands, with a nod of his head he leads his men back from whence they came.

Tag Team Showcase
30 Minute Time Limit
Desolation vs. Shawn Kutter & Jonnie Valentine
--
Breaking up the evenings featured showcase of Cruiser Weights, was the tag team showcase. Entering the ring first was the well known NPW team of Desolation. 'Parasite Eve' rips through the speakers as through the entrance way, now shrouded in fog, emerge the masked figures of Nephilim and Necrophage. The two men waste no time heading to the ring, seemingly indifferent to the fans in attendance as they step between the ropes, ready for a fight. They had been up and down on past shows, with varying degrees of success and failures. Tonight, they were looking to turn that around against the unlikely duo of Shawn Kutter and Jonnie Valentine.
Shawn Kutter appeared next, showing that he was ready for the evening. Once in the ring, Jonnie Valentine made his grand entrance, and fans were ready to see the match unfold. Following their recent victory, Valentine and Kutter played a pivotal role tonight in their future’s success. A win could mean a future Imperial Tag Team title shot. Once Shawn and Jonnie were at ringside, they decided on who would go first with a quick game of rock, paper, scissors, and Valentine would start.
Valentine and Nephilim would start the contest with a display of counter locks, ending with a break and cheer from the audience. They had not wrestled once before, but the intangible was there, and Nephilim played it up a bit with the audience. Valentine didn’t care for his antics and would let him know with a hard drop kick that sent Nephilim through the ropes. When this happened Necrophage went to his assistance, and Jonnie took this opportunity to send himself across the ring, bouncing off the ropes, and leaping over the top rope with a lariat onto Desolation!
Clearing house in the name of Valentine, he picked up Nephilim and rolled him in the ring, sliding in behind. Tagging in Kutter, Jonnie took the apron. Shawn used his size to his advantage, forcefully whipping Nephilim into the far turnbuckle before delivering a big boot! Nephilim was getting the living snot beat out of him with powerful forearm blows to his back, before Kutter went for the jack knife power bomb! On descent, Nephilim reversed and sent Kutter into his team’s corner with a variation of the hurricanrana. Sprinting at him, Nephilim splashed his opponent before tagging in Necrophage who had finally returned to their corner.
Necrophage got in, and immediately took to beating the legs of Kutter with vicious kicks. Sending him to the ropes, Necrophage ducks a clothesline, then ducks a big boot, before delivering a high shoulder block that knocks Kutter backwards towards his corner. As he turns to look for the tag, Necrophage down stairs dropkicks Kutter in the knee, and follows up with a quick DDT! Planted into the canvas, Necrophage goes for the cover, but only gets a two count for his troubles.
Pulling the larger man to his feet, Necrophage arm drags Kutter and then does it again, this time when he goes for one Kutter smashes him with a big boot and Necrophage is laid out. Turning to his corner, Shawn tags in Valentine, but Jonnie tells him to stay in the ring. The two pick up Necrophage and deliver a double suplex! Valentine raises his hand for a high five, and Kutter answers! KUTTER! Valentine stuns the crowd with the turn on his partner! Hitting him with his own move, Jonnie Valentine grabs the tag rope, tags in Shawn Kutter and then drapes his opponent Necrophage on to the big man for the victory.
Winners: Desolation via Kutter (9:14)
Rolling out of the ring, Jonnie Valentine gloats on his way down the aisle. He was full of himself and happy about his actions tonight. Smiling as he pointed to his head, a smirk so dastardly that it made for the perfect villain poster. Shawn remained on his back as Desolation’s arms were raised by the referee.

Timeless : Guts? Outdated on gender? Maybe I will put a dress on you, paint that mask up nice and pretty. Dropkick you down to catering where the women who aren’t eye candy (Roxylishus puffs out those Melon Mountains) belong in this business to make me a sandwich.
Lord Dominicus : Yeah? Well maybe I’ll finish what I started and make you tap- tap to a guy who is smaller than Mistress Discipline and yet somehow ranks higher in your opinion than she does.
Timeless : Nobody ranks lower in my opinion than you, and like, who isn’t bigger than YOU?
[They get up nose to nose, Timeless looking down on LD, LD not giving an inch.]
Lord Dominicus : You think just because you’re big that you’re a big shot!?
Timeless : Damn straight.
[Joseph Mack walkins into shot.]
Joseph Mack : Yo, can you two just… not? We’ve got Eric Dane and his fuckin’ goof troop to deal with tonight, I don’t need you two set to jump each other when we’ve got those three fucks to deal with.
I ain’t asking you two to hug it out. I don’t even care if you shake hands. But for like half an hour, let’s just pull together, take out these cowards, put them in the goddamn dirt when for once they don’t have the numbers advantage. We get the W, get our hands raised and then, if you two still wanna beat the fuck outta one another, I won’t get in the way. Shit, I’ll referee it if they can find a striped shirt that fits me. But til they ring that final bell? We back each other up.
Timeless : So like, my enemy's enemy is my ….. tag team partner?
Joseph Mack : Exactly.
Lord Dominicus : Ugh, it’s not like we have a choice I suppose
Timeless : You know what. Screw it. I’m in.
Joseph Mack : Fuckin’ right.
Lord Dominicus : But if Turner tries any funny stuff, I’m leaving the two of you to Dane and his cronies
Timeless : Ok. Let’s all synchronize our watches.
Joseph Mack : … sorry, I don’t follow.
Lord Dominicus : Huh?
Timeless : So we can snipe last minute of the deadline of course.
[Lord Dominicus rolls his eyes]
Joseph Mack : That some sorta time travel reference I’m too normie to understand?
Timeless : Oi! LD. Since we are now, you know. BFF’s. Can you do me a favour? (Pulls a knife out from his back pocket and brandishes it, both Mack and LD step back a step warily. Timeless then hands the knife towards LD) Stab me will ya. Right in the back. Fireside style. I want that ‘even with a knife in him still prevails like a valiant wounded warrior feel’. Seems to work for others, ya know?
Joseph Mack : Hold up, I know you two ain’t that crazy...
Lord Dominicus : I’ll gladly do it! You saw him ask me to do it!
Roxylishus : Don’t get to close to him, He …. itches.
Timeless : Ok. (with the knife now held like it is a sword, but backing off a bit) LD. I now dub thee, Lord Itchesalot!
[Dominicus grumbles while taking a few scratches at his hips]
Lord Dominicus : Well Roxy, how about you? Didn’t Primal send you a bra?
Roxylishus : I’d never let garbage touch these babies
[She gestures to her chest]
Lord Dominicus : Wait, really?
[He seems legitimately surprised.]
Lord Dominicus : I mean, you two are always together- I just assumed that…
[Dominicus vaguely gestures at Timeless and Roxy]
Roxylishus : ....I’m talking about the bra!
Lord Dominicus : OOOH! It’s just that when you said ‘garbage’ I assumed you were talking about Turner.
Joseph Mack : C’mon man, do I seriously need to do the pep talk again?
Timeless : Now that it is agreed I am the Captain of the team ….
Joseph Mack : Say what?
Lord Dominicus : THERE IS NO AGREEMENT HERE!
Timeless : Well, it's a well known fact Sirs out rank Lords … so ….
Lord Dominicus : It is not!
Timeless : Is too!
Lord Dominicus : Is not!
Timeless : Is too!
Lord Dominicus : Is not!
Timeless : Is too!
Lord Dominicus : Is not!
Timeless : Is too!
Joseph Mack : GUYS!
[Hard Cut.]

Final Preparations were being made. Gus Arnold walked to the ring with the trophy in hand. A special ring covering was laid down to signify the tournament finals, as it had taken over a month to get to this point. Gus was flanked by Liam Beesley, who helped oversee this event. Joseph Mack was sitting front row, and exchanged a few words with Gus and Liam.
Jay Stevens was out first. Looking confident, Jay was focused much like he has been throughout this event. A huge victory over Adrien Cochrane earlier in the evening all but solidifies Jay as a major player both today, and of the years to come.
Eron Hunter was out second. Hunter did his best to run to the ring, but we could see he was slightly hobbled by the beating he suffered earlier in the evening at the hands of Trigger. Hunter rolled under the bottom rope, popped up and raised his hand to the crowd.
Gus then took a few moments to congratulate both men for their hard work and determination. Gus highlighted Eron Hunter's match with Gebin, as well as Jay's match with Tyrone Walker as being two standouts. Gus then reminded both men of Jay's victory over Eron in the first sage, and how blown away he was by both men's effort on that night. Gus shook both men's hand, and reminded them that the winner would challenge for the XHF. Jr. Heavyweight Championship in two weeks time.

Cruiserweight Cup Finals

Eron Hunter vs. Jay Stevens
--
Two warriors have officially emerged from the field, and are looking to stake their claim to the coveted Cruiserweight Cup. As is the case in these types of events, the winner's name is forever etched in Northern Pro Wrestling History. These types of tournaments springboard careers, add to legacies and propel wrestlers to superstardom. The fans likely couldn't have planned this final any better if they were asked. The underdog and one of the initial pillars in Northern Pro; Eron Hunter was back to stake his claim as a warrior and as a main event player. Across the ring, Jay Stevens. Stevens has been responsible for some of the most memorable moments in NPW history thus far. Whether it was his feud with Bloodline, or his penchant for five star matches with the best talent in NPW, it's no surprise that Stevens finds himself one victory away from infamy.
The fact that these two men have already wrestled one and other in the first round wasn't lost on the audience. Their match was a contrast in styles, and both men appeared to be in peak physical condition. Stevens was able to best Hunter, but there match could've gone either way. The stakes were as high as they could be, with an impending championship opportunity around the corner. Not only that, one would have to deduce that both of these men are firmly perched at the top of the NACWC rankings, and should be in line for a championship opportunity against Lord Dominicus at some point down the road.
The match was methodical, as both men had already been in tough matches earlier in the evening, and were going to be conservative with their energy where they could be, while not diving head first into a potentially precarious position.
Stevens would take an early lead in the match with some strong mat work, which lead into a dragon sleeper, where Hunter had to fight his way to get his leg under the bottom rope to break the hold. Stevens felt as though he had the match won, but Hunter proved to be a tough out, and ring awareness was all he had to rely upon.
Hunter dug into his bag of tricks to turn the tide when in a lock up situation with Stevens. A drop toe hold, into a spin and a mexican surfboard was an early highlight. Hunter grabbed a hold of Stevens' for extra leverage, Stevens wagged his finger no, as Hunter pulled as hard he could. Stevens was able to use his strong core to power out of the chin lock, and to sit forward. Stevens slipped out the side door and grabbed ahold of Hunter's left leg and started to twist, while jumping on it. Steven's eventually settled for a couple of dragon screw leg whips.
Stevens showed that he's a true technician throughout his time here in NPW, and one could argue he might be the best of the best in that area. Stevens felt he had the advantage on the mat, and Hunter knew it, so whenever Hunter could mix things up and bring the intensity to a level of chaos, he felt as though the tempo suited his style. So Hunter started using the ropes to propel him all over the place. He risked using up valuable gas, but felt it was a risk he needed to take in order to set himself up for success.
A jumping forearm strike stunned Stevens and a flying knee strike to the side of the head had Jay in all kinds of trouble. Hunter went to the top rope and came off with a fling leg drop.

NO!
Two count only, as Stevens was able to kick out.
Hunter hit the ropes, and went low with a basement dropkick. A running bulldog followed, and another pinfall attempt, but Stevens was able to kickout forcefully at two.
Hunter whipped Stevens into the corner, followed him with speed, but Jay got out of the way Hunter went sternum first into the turnbklucle, before bouncing off and getting clobbered with huge lariat from Stevens. Shades of his father. Hunter didn't see it coming, and hit the mat hard.

NO Hunter rolled the shoulder.
We could see the audience torn between which warrior to back. Both men seemed to have a section of the audience that adored them, and there was a group that was mixed. Hunter held his jaw, as he tried to get to his feet. Stevens was there, fisher man's suplex.

NO!
Another kickout from Hunter.
Jay fired up with europeans uppercuts, and backed Hunter into the corner. A knife edge chop, before an irish whip, Hunter hit the far side, and shot himself forward with a bicycle kick. The kick handed square and caught Jay in the middle of the chest.
Hunter was down to one knee, looking to gather himself. Stevens was looking to catch his breath. Hunter moved forward, and took a swing, but Steven's ducked, and circled Hunter before locking him up in a Cobra Clutch Submission. Hunter tried to fight, but Stevens had it locked in deep.
Hunter was fading, but the crowd kept fighting for him. Stevens used his foot to push on Hunter's knee, looking take his knee out and apply more pressure. Hunter was fighting, but for how long? Stevens had the hold locked in tight, and there wasn't anywhere Hunter could go.
Hunter was flailing, trying to get a hold of the ropes. In a last ditch effort, Hunter charged forward, but Jay held the submission. Hunter used the second rope and springboard himself backwards, and both men hit the mat!

WOW!!!
DING DING DING!!
The referee has called for the bell. Jay Stevens is in absolute shock, but it appears as though Hunter was able to use the ropes to backflip himself, and hold Stevens down for a pin while Jay's arms were locked up in the cobra clutch position. Wait?
RAAAAAAHHH!!!
The referee walks over and raises Eron Hunter's arm! Stevens' eyes are wide, he can't believe it. He was moments away from Hunter going to sleep, and somehow, someway, Hunter found a way to reverse the situation, and Jay wasn't able to unlock his arms from the bottom in time.
The Winner of the 3rd Annual Cruiserweight Cup: Eron Hunter (10:36)
Hunter pulls himself to his feet, looking around, completely surprised that he was able to pull the victory off. Stevens is also starting to come to terms with what just happened. Jay's hands on his waist, and finally walks over to Eron Hunter.
The arena is silent.
Hunter, pulls himself up looking right into the eyes of his opponent. Jay slaps Hunter on the shoulder to congratulate him, before rising his arm! What a show of sportsmanship by Jay Stevens. Jay dominated this tournament, and has been undefeated in Northern Pro Wrestling, and all of that changed in a split second in one of those moments in pro wrestling where you'll always remember where you were when you saw it take place.
Hunter shakes Jay's hand, and bows to him, thanking him for bringing out the absolute best in him.
Gus Arnold enters the ring with the Cruiserweight Cup in hand. Gus shakes Jay's hand, before walking over to present the trophy to Eron Hunter!
Jay applauds, before saluting the fans and rolling out under the bottom rope. Jay has nothing to be ashamed of, and has truly solidified himself as one of the best wrestlers on the Northern Pro Wrestling Roster. His future, is NOW.
The camera then zooms into the ring, as confetti begins to fall. Eron Hunter is exhausted in victory, but musters the strength to raise the trophy above his head, while being serenaded by the crowd in attendance.
Gus exits the ring, allowing 'Night' Eron Hunter his moment in the sun. Tonight, history as made. If we've learned anything from Eron Hunters trials and tribulations, it's that sometimes we need to take a step back, before we're able to take two steps forward.
[Jesse Jamester.]
CLAP. CLAP. CLAP.
Jesse walks out to the top of the stage and applauds Eron's efforts. We're left wondering what JJ's intentions are in regards to the career of the young Eron Hunter. Hopefully we will come to a better understanding in the near future.
The credits roll.
