A thing of beauty - I know
Will never fade away
What you did to me - I know
Said what you had to say
But a thing of beauty.
Chicago- Illinois.
Will never fade away
What you did to me - I know
Said what you had to say
But a thing of beauty.
Chicago- Illinois.
The wind cut to the bone, slicing through clothes, fat, muscle and bone, the paper in walls of the motel almost didn’t count..
Ok, maybe that was a little over dramatic, but Damien waited in the motel as fingers played over his travel companion, six strings of steel, wood and lacquer , even as he made sure the tune was right, a few chords played on the slightly battered old but trusty acoustic reverberated throughout the small motel walls and his voice echoed out as he played the now familiar swan song.

There's a canvas with two faces,
Of fallen angels who loved and lost,
It was a passion for the ages,
And in the end guess we paid the cost.

As he kept playing he felt a part of him drift away as his eyes closed.
He was rudely snapped back to reality by his phone ringing playing a more rocked up version of a similar tune, so he picked it up.
“Walker.”
The voice on the other end was familiar and somewhat jovial.
“You think you can come into my city, for your big debut and not have me hear about it Damien? You need to come over, Me and Kate would love to have you over.”
A slight chuckle and a sigh.
“And endure more of your stories Devlin, how’d you find out I was in town?”
Another pause form the other side and Devlin seem dot come clean.
“Well, you forget I spent a significant time wrestling in the same company as Steve, you don’t lose your connections to folk in the industry just because you don’t roll, we might never have seen eye to eye but business is business, savvy?”
Damien shook his head.
“Should have known, you’re serious about dinner this time?”
Devlin manages a chuckle.
“Only if you actually show up this time, The kid would love to see you.”
A long pausing thought and he sighed.
“I’ll think on it Dev, I’ll think about it, that ok?”
Dev’s signature chuckle already said what they both know.
“I’ll let Kate know to set the extra place, I’ll be the cook, don’t go celebrating just yet.”
Damien’s tone changed just bit as he brought on the sarcasm.
“Oh shit, I uh, yeah I have to wash my hair, but I’m sure it’ll be great..”
Raine laughed a little.
“You’re a charmer huh?”
Damien managed a wry smile even as he glanced out the window and nodded despite nobody being able to see him.
“Learned from the best.”
Devlin gave a small chuckle.
“Oh, you… See you soon.”
Damien shook his head as he rubbed at his eyes.
“See you soon Devlin.”
The camera is cut to the low beam Illuminates roll of White ripe and asphalt that is highway as the background music reels in the background a low droning guitar, or is it Cello? Either way the view keeps on rolling as Damien’s voice speaks up.
“Every road starts somewhere, every journey has a new beginning and every voice must be heard.”
“Every road starts somewhere, every journey has a new beginning and every voice must be heard.”
We fade in to a shot of Damien by a bar shades on and a drink between his fingers as he looks out a window and then, back to the road then, with a of lighting we find Damien sat in the middle of a ring.
He’s rocket that Jacket and glasses combo and that kendo stick lays by his side as the rolling guitar is suddenly cut in by the lyics of ‘Chippin’ In’” By Samurai.

“Much like New Championship Wrestling, the wheel turns and warriors step out of the shadows, you wanna know who I am, you want the deets, you want to know what I can do. Or you don’t give a rat’s piss and I have to prove it to you, fine by me.”
He chuckles to himself and off come the shades slowly as he looks into the camera with a self-confidant smile.
“I am Damien Walker, and I am the Street Samurai, here to hit the big leagues Choombas, here to refine , not flatline to make waves and headlines and to scream into the sky…but talk is cheap, and some folk don’t have the Bucks to lay down, so we gotta start things right get the party Rollin;’ with an old fashioned Combat Zone hoedown, against Hexx.”
A shake of his head.
“The journey begins for one and begins again for another, fact is one of us walks away as the crowd cheers and th e other picks themselves off the mat after knock out, pin fall or tap out and gets to commiserate, and as they say you only get one chance to make a good first impression so The journey con only really have one start for me.”
He leans forwards with that self-confident smile.
“So let’s show the Illinois crowd what I’m about Hexx, let’s go balls to the fuckin’ wall choomb, try to put each other down, that what this is all about building the rep, and fuck it Hexx, the mumbo-jumbo around you doesn’t scare me you’re just meat. Like the rest of us and I’ll show you all what I’m made of.”
He nods.
“You’ve forged a road Hexx, My turn to forge a new one, if I gotta pave over some of the old….So be it.”
He caps a salute.
“Later.”
Fade out.
