Some of this info I’m looking for I might have, some of it I might have been misusing all this time. Who knows?
So, what do I need this time?
Tell me who your staff are (Announcer and commentary teams) and any notes that you think might help me write them correctly.
Then, kind of walk me through what you’re looking for when someone else (not part of the admin team) writes you a match. I know a good number of you are play by play, but there’s a couple of summaries, and then whatever Steve is doing. Talk to me and tell me how you might want me to write your best match. Include coding if you want the match writer to code as they write (or mention that it’s fine if they don’t worry about that).
This is all going into a guide so that the info for the entire Network is in a single place. It should help match writers and, hopefully, mean fewer matches that need edited to improve content.

jrok's staff is kira izumi as the owner, MUSHI as the more face leaning color commentator i think, Psycho KGB as the heel leaning play by play. we dont have named refs or interviwers or anything like that.

FWA
Announcer: Cheyenne Graham
Commentary Team:
James Willis (Play-By-Play, Babyface. Mostly reacts to Late Night's shenanigans) and Late Night Allen Graham (Colour, Tweener. Speaks and sounds an awful lot like Vince McMahon in real life)
Matches should be written in either a fully written format or a hybrid between summary and fully written (essentially, one paragraph describing the overall flow and feel of the match, then a break for commentary. Then, another paragraph describing a particular highlight, or perhaps an important part of the match that might lead to the finish, then a break for commentary. Then, one last paragraph describing the finish itself and one more paragraph for postmatch, which I will take care of myself if it's called for).
Entrances should be included before the match and the billing for the match (E.G: Main Event; Adrien Cochrane vs. Solomon Graham; X*Crown Championship match; 60 min. time limit; Official: Edgar Brown) inbetween the entrances and the match itself.

This is already in the garage. The announcers mostly do a play by play with some reactions thrown in and actions I don't feel like making someone say.

Gus Arnold is the owner and booker of Northern Pro Wrestling.
Blake Samuels is an early 40’s babyface announcer/interviewer. With NPW being written in past tense/summary, he isn’t really a focus on the show but can be used in segments prior to the show and on show.
As far as match writing, I’m open minded. There are times where I use the match to put over both sides based on what they’ve done and what their doing. Sort of a built-in news/hype post. I believe it helps keep the reader informed if they’ve missed something or are perhaps reading along for the first time.
Jesse Jamester writes more action in his matches, and that’s perfectly fine. He has stepped up to help write some of the bigger matches in NPW and does so with his own personal flare. His style is welcomed and I’ll even go this route from time to time depending on the situation.
We’re still growing and evolving from the angled era. June will mark the 1 year mark in the switch over to RP based. We try to keep the competitive juices flowing and pace our ideas out over the longer term where possible.
EDIT - Title matches and Main Events should see more length and description than the opener. We try to sell the main event and championship matches as a big deal. The handlers bust their asses on the boards, so the match writing should be in correlation with that.
Just like it was in the 80’s, spots on the card are earned, and your spot will typically be a direct reflection of tenure/effort/productivity/participation. We’re constantly reviewing this to keep things fresh.

NLW:
Comms: "Deep South" Dan Simmons (PBP) & Tommy West (Colour). "Simmo" is a pretty out of the box play by play guy, West is quite animated, he also is a failed sportsman, so has an air of "I could have done better" at times.
Announcer: Marty Watts
As for what we ask for in match writing, well weekly shows (unless there's an emergency) is handled in house, but is done by summary, similar to what you'd expect to see on a results website, I usually aim for 500-1500 words depending on where the match is on the card. PPV's? We're just happy to have somebody helping out, so a standard match is great!
