I think it really depends on the endgame... For deep-fried executions like an american-style taco, a torta, or a chimichanga, corn is your guy cause it gets crunchier. If you're having a burrito, flour definitely. Better resillience, better flavor.

Flour all day every day. Unfortunately, I've been told I need to eat less flour tortillas. Corn is good too, but not as much so. Unless your in Old Town San Diego. If your there and you get the freshly made corn tortilla, there is nothing better. That is where you'll go for seconds Jesse.

I've had those deep fried corned tortilla shells, and they are alright - but it's like a soggy flour tortilla at that point. Further proving, the flour is the power of Mexican cuisine.
