Sitting on the seashore, observing the never-ending game between the shoreline and the waves, is the resident vagabond, Eron Hunter. The waves advance and retreat consistently. They kiss the beach and run away, just to come back for more.
Eron smiles, it´s the same thing as with him and the fights. He charges forwards, retreating after a loss just to come back for more. This never-ending love is a reason for living for Eron Hunter. He isn´t bitter about his loss in the open-weight tournament, he lost to the champion after all, because he sees losses for what they are, a way to learn more about the fight, his opponents, and himself.
No fighter on this planet can say he never lost. Even greats like Mohammad Ali did suffer a loss here and there. Thus, Eron isn´t bitter, he is somewhat surprised but not bitter at all. He thought he could walk away champion but the fight taught him something different.
He didn´t underestimate anyone, it was just a day for a loss, just as it was a day for a win for D. This guy, he had it in him, the fighting spirit. The same fighting spirit Eron Hunter had in him. When two giants of the ring clash, there will be fire and winners and losers.
Eron Hunter lost a fight…
..But he has won the battle!
His constant wanderings from a place to the other are over. He has finally found a place to call home. Eron is sure about this. Until now he thought that nothing could replace MJPW in his heart. But MJPW was no more and Eron Hunter had found a new place to call home. It wasn´t a replacement, there is a place for more than one love, in a big heart!
NPW stood tall as the place to be, right now, and Eron´s fights had brought much-deserved attention for the fed, attention Gus Arnold used to sign in new and talented fighters. Eron was proud. He had played a part in NPW´s roaring success, and he did it with honesty and pure fighting spirit.
But not everyone could say the same about his spirit like Eron did. Take Jesse Jamester, for example, he was a great wrestler, surely, but was he a great human being? Eron doubted it. Jesse Jamester was a man plagued by doubts, doubts about his actions and choices.
He had been searching for brotherhood but did it in the wrong place. Some say our friends are the mirror of our soul so that if we choose bad friendships we have to look no further than our own heart, to find a culprit.
Jesse Jamester had been betrayed by someone he called a friend, but he had to ask himself if the choices he made were the right ones to start with. You can´t find honesty in a thieves den, they say, and Jesse was indeed looking for pure words and feelings when he looked around for friends and brothers.
He just did it in the wrong place to start with!
Besides, he was not the most righteous and honest human being. Jesse Jamester made a name for himself with his backstage attacks and crook antics, and now he was looking for honesty and friendships where there was nothing more than occasional alliances and opportunistic choices. Jesse Jamester was looking for brothers where there were just villains and crooks, to begin with.
Eric Dane was not a positive human being, and anyone who aligned himself with the serpent should not blame him for the poison and the bites. You can´t make a swan out of a crow, you can´t make a positive human being out of a callous criminal of the ring!
That´s what Dane was. That´s what he had been for over twenty years in the ring. If Jamester wanted to search for culprits, he should do it within his own heart first. He had been on Eron´s neck for months now. Eron Hunter asked himself why Jamester took a liking to the young fighter.
Was it because he saw in Hunter something he liked to be bout could not?
There were questions to be asked about Jesse Jamester, and the one that should ask them was Jamester himself, and he should ask them to himself. No one could give Jamester answers, but he. As far as Eron was concerned, Jesse Jamester was a coward!
A coward.
A man who was afraid to look in the mirror, because sure as hell wouldn´t like what he would see there. That was who Jamester was, that was what the man would have to fight, to find the answers he was looking for.
Eron Hunter was not the one to ask for answers, in this specific case, he was just the one that would deliver the final blow to Jamesters ego, in their upcoming tag team match, a match where alliances would have to be formed, for two to win.
Hunter would have to team up with Lord Dominicus, a champion in name and deeds. Sure, one could ask himself if Dominicus was a positive human being too because he seemed to wander between worlds. When it came to his actions, one could say he was inconsistent, but when it came to his fights…
…well one could not deny the man was skilled.
And Jamesters partner? John Cavanagh?
Another Eric Dane of sorts.
Jamester would have to pay attention to his surroundings.
You can´t ask a scorpion not to be one!
Another day another fight…
…Eron Hunter was a fighter, that´s what he thought about in his free time, that´s what he lived for. And he was happy about that. Especially since he now knew what NPW was for him.
It was his new home.
He was happy about that.
