Wellington Dunne sits on the back porch of the house he currently shares with his sister, Gwen Holiday and her fiance Johnny Sniper. On the table in front of him a small glass with ice and remnants of Maker’s Mark according to the bottle next to the glass. Also laying on the table is his “The Saga’s Final Ride” T-Shirt.
Dunne: “Potential, it’s a weird word. It’s something that we all have, but we often fail to live up to. I mean think about, at the start of a sports season, hockey, baseball, football, the other football. Every single team has the potential to walk away at season’s end as a champion. Same with every member of the NLW roster. Every hard worker star has the potential to become champion, but very few will ever do it. Hell even fewer will even get a chance to compete for a championship. And so I pass the question on to you Mr. Edgebrook, what is your potential? Because as far as I can tell, you have none, yet. But I can help. I can push it out of you, just like a fedora wearing ego-maniac from Detroit helped bring out the potential in me. Just like a stuck-up Philadeliphian did for me. For my entire time within the multitude of feds under the XHF banner, I’ve often had someone behind me, pushing me, but at the same time holding me back. But now I’m free of the shackles, and let loose to run wild.”
Dunne grabs the bottle and pours himself another glass. He lifts it to the sky.”
Dunne: “Edgebrook, here's my lesson to you. It’s gonna be painful, and that my friend, is a Dunne Deal.”
Dunne brings the glass to his lips and takes a sip, as the camera fades to black.
