So, ah... hi. :>
As you know if you've read Hostile Intent, this madwoman--along with the madlads that are my counterparts--are running an eight-person G1, with the finals happening at our upcoming pay-per-view at the end of August that we're calling Collision Course. The winner will be named the Number One Contender for the NLW Heavyweight Title at Homecoming, the pay-per-view which will also be celebrating one year of NLW being around. Think of our G1 being the equivalent to the Royal Rumble, and Homecoming being our Wrestlemania, if that makes more sense.
Anyway, I'm gonna go ahead and explain how a G1 works for those that are not familiar.
There will be two groups of four--Group A and Group B. (Creative, I know.) Each group will have a match against every other member of their group. A win is worth two points, a tie is worth one, and a loss...well, that's a zero. The two people from each group with the highest scores will go on to the semi-finals which is where we've added our own little twist. The first place person from Group A will face the second place person from Group B and vice versa, with the winners going on to the main event of Collision Course, and then from there?
Number One Contendership, baby.
Now, I do want to stress something here: if you sign up for this, you will be on the card for three shows straight at a minimum starting with Ascendancy XVII, so please keep that in mind. To make things a little easier for the roster members participating, though, we will be adjusting the RP word limit as follows.
- Round Robin Round - 1 RP, 500 words
- Semi-Finals - 1 RP, 750 words
- Finals - 2 RPs, 1000 words
The matches for the round robin matches will also be shorter to make it easier on the side of the admins, with the semi-finals being our standard length and the finals being a full match.
If you're interested, please reply to let us know--and if you have any questions, go ahead and ask them below as well! :>
We'll be taking sign ups until segment deadline, which is June 12th at 12:00am GMT/ June 11th at 7:00pm EDT.
