Background: Takaru Matsui was born the eldest son of a proud wrestling family, and sought to carve out his own destiny instead of serving the interests of his family. He roamed from territory to territory, honing his craft before finally returning to Kyoto. In his absence, his father had molded his younger brother into the heir apparent of the family. Takaru engaged in a brief feud with his family before he decided he had no wish to fight against his own blood. He resumed his restless wandering, before finally returning to Kyoto when he heard that the family and their company Matsui Arts was being threatened by a shadowy organization known as the Order.
Seeking allies to fight against the Order and their minions, he turned to an old ally from his wandering days Donzig. And the pair soon engaged in a brutal, ever escalating war against the Order before Takaru would assume the mantle of ownership of the family territory. Shortly there after he discovered who was behind the Order, and was betrayed by his allies. He and Donzig went their separate ways, until a favor was called in.
His honor demanding that he answer the call, Takaru made his way to Canada.
Outlook: Takaru Matsui is still in the prime of his career, though he normally does not stay anywhere long. He prefers to do a few matches, and then return to Kyoto where he runs the Matsui Arts Company. He also trains future wrestlers at the Matsui Dojo, and seems to enjoy his solitude.
