~The world is burning. The fire is spreading, rising along the surfaces of the room. Smoke billows into the room. The curtains fall to the floor in shambles. The carpet melts from the heat. The ceiling falls in chunks to the floor and crumbles into ash and soot. The camera can SEE the distortions in the air from the sheer heat rising from the conflagration. As it zooms out we find the charred portion of the room is but one corner of the room. The window explodes inward from the pressure drop of the heat in the room. The fire starts to spread to the part of the room the camera is in as it zooms out.~
~A crash zoom later we see the small corner on fire is but one of four in a room the camera is not in. The camera is outside peering through an open window. The fire, smaller than it seemed at first slowly consumes a room, obviously layered with fire dampening material, in slow motion. In the center of the room, a good distance from the fire, sits the Fireside World Champion, the man known as Esmur.~
~He sits cross-legged in the middle of the floor in his cloak. His title belt lays on the floor in front of him as he stares holes into the soul of the camera.~
~Conspicuous is the absence of the man’s partner Gebin, surely he is not here out of safety precautions for this stunt. What is this costing the Fireside brass anyway? He closes his eyes in meditation.~
~The fire licks up the carpet at the cloak, but it is not flammable … tonight. Esmur opens his eyes again and pushes to his hands and knees. He drapes the title around his neck as he crawls toward the camera~
~He springs to his feet and grasps the title as it falls. He holds it up to the camera and shouts with a fire we have never seen in the Nihilist.~
~He straps the belt on and leaps out the window. The camera zooms back even further to show him standing in front of a makeshift pre-fab tiny house like you see on those HG TV shows. Holding the original camera, and now standing next to Esmur is Gebin. Both men now approach the camera in the middle of this large parking lot where the tiny house was parked. The flames rise in the background.~
~He turns to Gebin and they stand looking at the pre-fab house as it crumbles into a pile of wood and roof tiles and burns high and hard in the daylight. The camera cuts to the one Gebin was on, a view in between the two of them with their heads in frame, a burning pile of cinders in the center of the reticle.~

"This is fine."

The fire, smaller than it seemed at first slowly consumes a room, obviously layered with fire dampening material, in slow motion. In the center of the room, a good distance from the fire, sits the Fireside World Champion, the man known as Esmur.~
"Let the world burn around me. Let the flames of conflict arise and consume the whole of Fireside. In the end none of it matters, does it? Not to people like you, MAJESTY. And according to the names on our roster, not to men like myself and my partner. After all, what are we if not the men who believe in nothing, right? So … let the world burn around me."
~He sits cross-legged in the middle of the floor in his cloak. His title belt lays on the floor in front of him as he stares holes into the soul of the camera.~
"The whole time, we all assumed Fireside, the lighting of the flame, was a metaphor. For the burning ambition and desires of the competitors. For the all-encompassing fire that consumed the soul of the man who lit the fuse, Anthony Caffrey. Imaginary in nature, but real in its meaning. How … wrong … we … were …"
~Conspicuous is the absence of the man’s partner Gebin, surely he is not here out of safety precautions for this stunt. What is this costing the Fireside brass anyway? He closes his eyes in meditation.~
"How real the flame truly is. And the keg was always sitting there waiting to erupt. We should have known on day one when you appeared in the arena and cleaned out the people you were MEANT to team with, along with their opponents. How you punched out a manager with no wrestling experience. How you cackled in their faces. We should have seen the fuel on the entire situation. What fools we were."
~The fire licks up the carpet at the cloak, but it is not flammable … tonight. Esmur opens his eyes again and pushes to his hands and knees. He drapes the title around his neck as he crawls toward the camera~
"MAJESTY. The unknowable, unbreakable faewild demon of Fireside. Sitting in the background, picking their spots to cause maximum chaos. Laughter becoming an omen for anyone in the ring. Seeding us all with that fear, that seasoning for the show to come. Playing your parlor tricks to the crowd of slack-jawed, awe-inspired Philadelphia yokels. How everyone talks about the fire of the faewild figure. What stories we hear of their conquests."
~He springs to his feet and grasps the title as it falls. He holds it up to the camera and shouts with a fire we have never seen in the Nihilist.~
"WHERE IS MY ATTENTION MAJESTY?! Huh? Where is all the news press and praise for the signings of one of the best tag teams in XHF history signing with Fireside? Where was the praise for the tag team specialist overcoming his supposed handicap to defeat a dinosaur … yes we’ll call it what it is, if you’re a fae then DB is a dinosaur. Where was the press when I took down the man … who BEAT MAJESTY? HUH? NOWHERE THAT’S WHERE! I was content to simply represent the company and spread my message to those who would listen. Live life to the fullest, don’t stop others from doing the same, after all life is fleeting and there’s an eternity of singularity ahead. But no. No. I think the message needs to change. YOU CHANGED THE NARRATIVE! You … burned the old Nihilists to the ground."
~He straps the belt on and leaps out the window. The camera zooms back even further to show him standing in front of a makeshift pre-fab tiny house like you see on those HG TV shows. "Everyone seems to think based on our names that we believe in nothing. And that was never the intention. SO let’s make a POINT. I … believe in me. I believe in Gebin. I believe in our teamwork to see us through any scenario. I believe in our wrestling skill to set us above everyone else in this business. I believe the original message is dead. You all failed to hear us out and now beings like MAJESTY roam around creating chaos with reckless abandon. People like Hyperion slay hundreds of people for power and nobody bats an eye. The system is broken. And we can’t fix it. So the only option is to claim our personal victories and burn it all to the ground. Start over anew with fresh eyes.
So at Battle of the Best. I WILL BURN YOU TO THE GROUND! I will take you apart in a way our vaunted X*Crown Champion never could hope to. I will erase the majesty from MAJESTY. I will take their ambitions and stomp them out. I will snuff the flame of frivolity within them. I will make them understand that they made this personal. They opened our eyes and they made this mean so much more. I said if you wanna douse us all in fuel I would strike the match. I … MEANT … every word. I will burn this all to the ground to expose you for the fraud you are. Nobody plays God. Nobody gets to pretend to be a higher being. Not around us. Exposing people like you is our modus operandi MAJESTY."

"So many people doubted us. When we marched through AWF, when we tore through the tag team division, when I began marching through the Fireside ranks. Never was there a thought I could win. It’s time Esmur changed the narrative. MAJESTY … a whisper of the past on their lips. The being who failed to topple Misha Constantine, and then who failed to overcome the man who BEAT Misha Constantine."
"Our purpose has been made crystal clear, forged in the fire of the inferno brought about by this charlatan. At Battle of the Best it is Esmur’s sworn duty to expunge your influence. It is incumbent upon us to put a halt to your advance right here. And when all is said and done we will make sure everyone knows MAJESTY was just … human … mortal and beatable like everyone else. The aura around you will be gone. The hushed tones and conditioned fear responses like cinders in the wind. Lost to the void for eternity. And out of your ashes rise the new instruments of this network’s dark future. The Nihilists reborn, back to the point, and running roughshod over the Fireside singles ranks … and the XHF Network tag team division."
"We will make them understand. We will make them fear us, and understand us. We will burn it all to nothingness and let the void sort the pieces. False Gods and prophets will be given no quarter. The true nadir of the XHF Network as we plunge it into the unending dark abyss. And it begins with you. After all it’s right in your name. All MAJESTY is? Is a jest. A joke. A story to frighten toddlers. Or at least, once I burn you away, it will be so."
"Embrace eternity."
