Hey guys, since Shay McKay brought it up I thought we should talk about global events.
So I've been sitting on an idea for the events, I just haven't gotten around to posting it because of personal scheduling issues as well as I wanted to let you guys get more settled in first. Anyway, here's my idea:
Four Yearly Events
I don't want to overload the feds with having to balance their PPVs as well as XHF Network global events, so I figure 4 is probably enough as a base. These are the events I'm thinking
Spring- The XHF Network Rumble- Back in the day, the XHF used to hold a rumble match (as feds tend to do) but with one difference from the WWE version- everyone on the roster at the time was automatically entered. The XHF Network Rumble match would be the same; but instead of automatically entering the roster, we'd probably have a sign-up for everyone just so we know who'd be able to rp for it. The winner would be eligible for a shot at any championship in their representative fed (including the X*Crown if the holder was in their fed). There would also be a multi-man for the X*Crown (The XHF Network's only global title) featuring guys from every fed. Other matches would be determined by the feds (like if they wanted any other matches on the show)
Summer- Overheated- July is the XHF Network's birthday month and what a better way than a SUPER DUPER CARD! Overheated would have every belt on the line (including a multi-man for the X*Crown). I'd recommend that instead of holding an individual PPV, every fed just considers July's Overheated to be that month's PPV. This would be the WrestleMania of the XHF Network
Fall- The End of Days Tournament- This would actually not be one big event, but several small events spread out over the fall. We'd run a tournament with maybe 3-5 representatives from each fed (depending on how many feds there are) and then each show would feature matches in the tournament. The final show would be just two matches: the tournament finals and a muliti-man for the X*Crown with guys from each fed. The tournament winner would be entitled for a shot at any championship in his representative fed (including the X*Crown if the champion is currently in his fed). The feds themselves would be able to choose their tournament representatives and X*Crown match guys however they wanted
Winter- Name TBD- This big event could have any number of things going on. I'm interested to hear what you, people who aren't me, would like to do for this event. Anyway, as you can probably guess, it'll feature a multi-man for the X*Crown, lol.
Fed vs Fed Specials
The XHF was born from an invasion angle and so the Network is more than happy to help host events featuring two or more feds fighting. Be it for pride or some bigger stipulation; if two feds (or more, I suppose) want to throw down than an Xtraction event can be lined up. In the past, the XHF has usually had the main event be an "Xtraction" match, a 10-man tag match usually with some big stipulation on the line
Spotlight Shows
I haven't really talked much about the X*Crown yet. So I'll do that now. The X*Crown is a championship that consists of defunct World Championships (that is to say, the belt's fed closed). It currently has like...20(?) belts in it. Due to it's nature, this belt would be the only global title, changing hands at one of the inter-fed events and then remaining in whichever fed the title holder is in until the next big global show (being defended there until then). BUT the X*Crown has a special rule: if someone offers a defunct World Championship; they can receive a shot at the X*Crown. If the person doing this happens to currently be in another fed than the title holder, we'll set up a spotlight show that would highlight both feds. Each fed would contribute a couple matches and the main event would be a 1-on-1 for the X*Crown to determine which fed takes the X*Crown home.
Now, getting back to Shay McKay's suggestion of us having a global show now-ish to get everyone warmed up and actually have a working card until more people join up I have a suggestion. Let's do a spotlight show! I reccomend that we have a sign-up for whoever wants to rp for it and which fed they represent. We'd also let some of the old XHF guys or freelancers get the chance too (because they'd fill in any blanks on the card) and then we have representative matches for each fed. I'd even recommend not having any title matches on the show; just pure exhibition (unless one fed wants to do a World Title match in the ME or something).
This has a couple of benefits:
1) Keeping the matches fed exclusive allows booking/set-up to be done easily (each fed books/writes their own matches)
2) We can use it for advertising. When dropping advertising links around the web, we can link to the show, which would show the different fed styles so that people would know which one they wanted to join.
Those are my ideas guys; what do you think? We can't move in any direction until at least all the owners give some feedback here, lol. But also, if any members want to put in their two cents: DO IT! This place is your rping home, not a dictatorship. The XHF Network is flexible and I'm more than interested to hear your ideas and see what we can do to make this the best place in efedding history!
