All my friends are heathens, take it slow
Wait for them to ask you who you know
Please don't make any sudden moves
You don't know the half of the abuse

“They say when you’re down and out friends and family will always be there.”It’s a bright sunny day in South Georgia. The scene opens on a private air strip with a small private plane slowing to a stop. The door begins to open…
“Well my friends are like my family, and one of them even officially became my family.”
The door swings open as a worker pulls over a short set of rolling stairs over and a man with short blonde hair and dark sunglasses and business casual clothes steps out onto the top step. He smiles as the wind blows his hair before James Mueller begins his decent.
“We traveled the world. We shared everything. We fought. We hugged. We laughed. We hated each other. We loved each other.”
Behind him steps another man. He’s clad in full business suit, he’s been all about his business since the late days of his wrestling career. He too is wearing dark sunglasses and Charlie Velez smirks as he looks towards the camera.
“We were inseparable, even when we didn’t get along. They were there for me when I first separated with my wife. They were there when my kids were born. They were there when I finally decided to hang up my boots. One of them was even there with me when I decided to break those boots back out.”
They walk until they reach their friend, our scorned hero on solid ground. They take turns embracing in hugs and shaking hands. All of them are excited to see each other.
“My friends are my family, and they’re always there for me, until they weren’t.”
A new scene opens. It’s a dimly lit room with couches and chairs in the shape of a U. On one end sits a guy who looks eerily like televisions own Doctor Phil, because, well, it is televisions Doctor Phil. On the couch in the middle sits the estranged wife of our hero and next to her sits his two longtime friends Mueller and Velez.
Dr. “We’re here today for an intervention for…”
Mueller “Wait, we’re here for an intervention for V?”
Mueller stands up shaking his head and staring a hole towards Tracy.
Velez “Intervention? This is just another stunt by V to get back into the lime light.”
Mueller “Yeah, he’s obsessed. He’s like a soldier who can’t handle not being at war. He can’t stand not being on television and this is just another stunt. Come on Charlie, this is a waste of our time.”
Charlie starts to stand up when Tracy grabs him on the shoulder and stops him before standing up herself to address the two men.
Tracy “V didn’t bring you here, I did. He needs our help. You’re right. He couldn’t handle not being in the spotlight. He couldn’t handle that the surgeries made it to where he couldn’t compete. He started taking more and more pain killers to get through the day and now he can’t function without them.”
Charlie stands up and grabs Tracy by the shoulders.
Velez “If he really needs our help, we’ll be here, but this is V we’re talking about. He thinks everything is a wrestling storyline and this could all be a ploy to get us back together.”
Mueller “I’ll hear this out, but Charlie is right. We could easily be playing into his hand and doing exactly what he wants with this. I mean what other intervention is ran by Doctor freaking Phil?”
Tracy “That’s not what this is. He really needs our help. He hasn’t left the closed down gym in days. He hasn’t seen his kids. He hasn’t even talked to me.”
Velez “Then how do we know he’s coming?”
Tracy “I don’t.”
Charlie and Mueller sit back down with Tracy and Doctor Phil continues explaining the intervention, but time passes, and V is nowhere to be found.
“Or was I not there them.”
