So why did you choose who you chose for your character's pic bases?
Mongo the Destroyer (Big Show -> Ted Dibiase): Mongo was actually based on a CAW I made for the No Mercy game. I needed someone who was big enough to feud with Andre the Giant but "parts unknown-y" enough where I wouldn't mind him losing. I actually never needed a pic base though until I joined BDDWF. At that time I wanted to use a really tall HBK (because I'm actually tall and thin) but since he was already taken I said "screw it" and picked Big Show- but with a little more flair, so "Big Pimp" specifically and later "Big Show in a suit" which there was only one picture of, lol. I've since switched to DiBiase for two reasons 1) Mongo doesn't use Bald Show and Big Show hasn't had hair in a decade and 2) I always said when Mongo gets around 50 I'd switch him to Dibiase- he's getting older now.
Bongo the Destroyer (Kevin Nash): In the early 2000's there was only one other guy as big as Show, lol
Congo the Destroyer (Kevin Smith): I don't think I actually picked this appearance (it wasn't my character originally); but Smith's inherent bigness makes it so he could be Mongo's son, but his shortness also says he might not be
Nelly Angel (Some dude from Linkin Park -> N8 Mattson): Nelly's apperence was actually based on his emoticon (XHF guys will know what I mean). We were using thumbnail sized South Park wrestler pictures in our rps and one "looked right." Willy I think gave me the Linkin Park guy which I begrudgingly took; but after Nelly became a wrestler I looked more seriously and saw N8's innocent eyes and cool look and was like: "That's Nelly!"
Randy Angel (Gavin Loudspeaker -> Tony Nese): I'm a huge Kaiju Big Battel and Chikara mark. I needed an older, disheveled guy who could pass as Nelly's brother and Gavin was right there. But it's been almost 10 years and it'd be weird for Randy to be exactly the same considering the volatility of alcoholism. So I decided to clean him up and give him muscles as Tony Nese- because Nese is still a lightweight like the Angels and can pass as a brother to Nelly.
I'll do more tomorrow, I'm sleepy. How about you?

I reject Nelly and Mongo's new looks:
Kuroi (Gene Snitsky): He looked mean. He fit the look of his personality. I thought he was going to stick around for a while. (He wasn't) Kane and Undertaker are both a bit cliche and Batista was taken.
Lilly (Carmella Decesare): She was really hot.
Fezzik (Andre The Giant): Princess Bride was one of my favorite movies and I needed a face. He fit perfectly.
Michael Storm (Ron Killings/R-Truth): I wanted to branch out with different characters. I also wanted to try someone not a straight up brawler. Ron Killings was also flexible in the sense that he's the perfect body type where he can work well enough to be a decent enough brawler, a high enough high-flyer and a technical enough of a technical wrestler.
Miguel Rodriguez (Eddie Guerrero): Eddie Guerrero was my favorite wrestler and I wanted to try to do something with him. It didn't work out as well as I'd have hoped, though.
I think that's everyone. There was one other guy named Kaden, but he's not even worth getting into.
EDIT: I also forgot Copycat, with Gillberg. I needed someone who looked both weak and goofy.

: Also, shoutout to all those unbelievably funny "shocked" XHF emoticons, like these for instance that also still somehow remain uploaded even today: Now, as for my characters though: Rage (aka Pat Hicks): Well Steve Austin already happened to be my favorite wrestler and the guy who had single-handedly gotten me hooked on wrestling anyhow during the mid-90's, and fortunately I was one of the original BDDWF (which eventually became XHF itself after BDDWF closed) members during early 2001, and so despite how insanely popular that pic base was back then, I was able to swoop in, get first dibs on it, and then of course never relinquished it since the Rage character turned out to be a massive success, initially as Mongo's primary henchman/right-hand man, and then as a singles competitor once he broke off the alliance with Mongo and went solo for good to reach super stardom. Torrie Hicks (aka Rage's wife/manager & first-ever XHF Women's Champion): This one is self-explanatory obviously, since she was simply supposed to be the real Torrie Wilson herself to begin with, who in the XHF universe had left WWE altogether after Mongo offered her an even better contract to both valet Rage/compete there instead, and it just so happened she was in the prior relationship with Rage regardless, so XHF was where she much preferred to be at to begin with for personal reasons. Back then XHF also had all sorts of actual WWE-based type male characters such as both Chris Benoit and Goldberg as well, so it all made much more logical sense at the time in regards to her being a real person who was directly adapted into XHF itself, lol. Matt Hicks (aka Rage's cousin): I was already a huge, HUGE Jamie Noble fan during the mid-2000's when I originally created/conceived this awesome character (who in many ways I cherish even moreso than Rage himself due to the brilliant overall depth of this one), and loved all his endless comedic storylines where he and Nidia were together as the trailer park trash couple, and since both Rage/Torrie had already turned out to be such a tremendous combo together, I was naturally looking to expand even further as an XHF handler, and so especially since XHF had an insanely popular/evolving Junior Heavyweight (aka Cruiserweight) Title division where Matt would fit seamlessly into weight-wise, it all just clicked and instantly fell right into place in every way imaginable after I had given it plenty of thought on how to lay this whole thing out with establishing a direct spinoff relative to Rage. And I'm so glad I did create this character since it finally brought me sustained success within XHF's tag division after my Fury character was mostly an ultimate bust there, lol, but Matt on the other hand was simply born to be a top notch combo Junior Heavyweight/Tag Division superstar for certain. Jennifer Dream (aka Matt's girlfriend/valet): Ironically this wasn't even technically my own character to begin with though, since she began as the girlfriend/valet to BDDWF/early XHF legend Millennium himself, and then once Millennium's handler departed XHF for good later on, he graciously allowed me to inherit the character (who I believe may have also served as a popular XHF interviewer too much like Nelly Angel at one point, in fact) altogether and thus pair her up with Matt as his very own "Nidia" of sorts upon his own debut shortly afterward. But I gotta give the Millennium handler credit, he actually chose the exactly same pic base that I likely would have myself way back then with Pamela Paulshock, she was just gorgeous as hell during WCW's late years as a backstage interviewer, lol. Fury (aka Rage's brother): This character actually came about even before Matt Hicks did I'm pretty sure, since he started off in that infamous tag team with future XHF legend/Young Guns member Venom and then later on also had a relatively successful tag partnership with Erez's Michael Storm character. But appearance-wise I was really sorta thinking along the lines of a typical Vince McMahon mindset for this character, I just wanted a big, incredibly imposing, bodybuilder type look for Rage's brother, and so since Matt Morgan had just debuted in WWE at the time and was seemingly gaining steam quick push-wise (although that "push" ended up going nowhere in the long run for his short-lived WWE career of course, lol) I instantly took notice of this very beastly looking dude and latched onto this pic base without thinking twice. Horace Hicks (aka Matt's brother): Well unfortunately this character didn't have much of a shelf life at all within XHF, lol, but, nonetheless, he did exist briefly for all my family/group style RPs/show segments regardless, and since he was yet another Hicks family member AND Rage was also a signature baldy of mine to begin with as SCSA, it was a no-brainer to just name Matt's brother Horace Hicks and hilariously roll with the Horace Hogan pic base.

Well, I only have one character (That you guys know of ) Basically, I originally wanted somebody who was short, thin and who was Irish irl, however I didn't find anybody that matched my strict filters. However, I then came across a song called "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" by a Celtic-American band called "Dropkick Murphys". After watching the music video I then watched a recorded video of one of their live concerts. Basically, I liked the look of one of their singers, named Al Barr. And, he's still my picbase (as you can see) I know Al Barr isn't actually Irish but it doesn't really matter anyway

Death Trap (Matt Hardy [Team Xtreme] => Johnny Stamboli) - Started in ECF as Matt Hardy cuz I was young and he was originally a high flier. I eventually changed his style and persona a bit and when I came to XHF and Matt was taken I looked for a stereotypical Italian look (as I am one) and Stamboli was perfect.
Primal (Rellik) - ... Well the ORIGINAL idea for him was I had ben gone for years and wanted a fresh start in XHF so I hid my identity and was EVENTUALLY gonna have him be a heel DT in a mask (Rellik is Stamboli) but I grew to like the character too much and is really my most creative original guy so ... yeah.
Nightmare (bull buchanan) - it was his face in No Mercy on N64 so it stuck.
Shogun-Tron (Sentai Jin) - Had to fit the Tron theme and this dude was perfect for a technical gunslinger. Also he's a sentai and I loved power rangers as a kid.
Genesis and Exodus (Mikey Batts and Mike Sanders) - Ok so these guys actually came as video game CAWs first. They had the whole gimmick and personality set up before I decided to bring them in so I needed two guys who looked like my CAWs in passing, built like light heavyweights and who you could believe could be warriors for God (and a lot goofy). My cousin actually dated Mikey Batts in high school for like a week or so. (His real name is Michael Altieri.) And other than the cornrows Exodus originally had in the SD series the two guys just looked spot on.
Also I have a thing for using lesser known guys. Assured if I ever had to switch feds I'd get my picbase lol.

I've only ever had 2 in my entire roleplaying career.
My very first - Xander Cabulera - had a good 2 year long run and used a long haired Christian for his entirety. I even remember having 'Faint - Linkin Park' as his intro throughout. No idea where the name came from, I think because I was still young and new to it all, I figured Xander was a cool name I saw somewhere then I'm positive his last name was just completely made up.
After a brief hiatus, I switched characters to a fairly standard, largely face, straight forward superstar whom I shall not name because the temptation is there to maybe bring him back into play.. maybe. He however did use a number of pictures varying on the availability in each fed he was in but the most prominent I remember was a short-haired TNA AJ Styles and followed by pre-'Apex Predator' Randy Orton or atleast when he was just shifting to that nickname.
Then I slowly got into design and moved into fed ownership whilst I was still into it and never went back to roleplaying.

Rob Arnold - Petey Williams - mainly. Mainly because at the time he matched the CAW I had for him, or at lease came closest. Knowing how I would develop the character now, I would probably be looking at Bobby Roode, or maybe even Johnny Gargano.
Alex Reid - Christopher Eccleston - I love Dr Who, and the real Reid has a very similar look, or at least did at that time, I would be tempted to change it now, no idea who to though, similar hair but a serious beard addition required. Maybe I could go for Ciampa to make the look need and tidy if I used Gargano.

Continuing on from last time... Oh, and Kuroi, Nelly's been using N8 Mattson since like 2004-5, so it's not what I'd called "new," lol
Lazor-Tron (Hector Guerrero as Lazor Tron): That's kind of self-explanatory. XHF was going crazy for wrestle crap at the time (hence why we also had Ken the Box making regular appearances)
Gold-Borg (Goldar from the Power Rangers TV Show): I didn't actually make the character or choose his appearance. It was either DT or Kanyon; but both say the other one did, lol
Nano-Tron (AkibaRed): Trons are frequently Power Rangers/Sentai dudes (as DT already mentioned). AkibaRed looks plucky and young, which is the image I was going for. Very modern.
Lord Dominicus [Nelly's Stolen Alter Ego] (Ultramantis Black): So in NCW I had a fued with Lord Dominicus, and somehow Nelly ended up being him- and it was a hit. For Nelly's version I chose Ultramantis Black because the character is a comedy jobber who talks about being evil all the time- Ultramantis just makes sense. No matter what anyone tells you, Nelly's LD may not be the first LD, but he is the true LD
Alright, the last two require a little background for the newer dudes. So the XHF was actually the first fed I joined; it closed like after 2 shows or so. I am sentimental, so I asked the owner for the fed/board. I then started using the name as a way to "invade" other feds. Eventually I was able to find two other dudes (NMM and another guy) and we invaded a fed called BDDWF- through an amazing circumstance, in the middle of the feud the fed's owner life got busy and the fed was given to me as a full-blown XHF. So when people reference the BDDWF, it was the XHF's pre-fed. Ok, on to the last two people
Bonnie Jenkins [Mongo's secretary] (Lilian Garcia): CAN YOU BLAME ME!? She's hot and everyone was gobbling up attractive women for valets. Bonnie was carryover from the BDDWF but (like all their staff) lacked a pic base, I gave her Lilian to save the look for myself. I also radically changed the way her character was portrayed because the BDDWF sort of treated her like a piece of meat- I wasn't down with that and the in-character response to having a better image was her falling in love with Mongo, a man who has no interest in her, lol
Joey Hawke [Commentator/Manager/probably an Executive of some sort] (Mike Tenay): Joey was carryover from the BDDWF, he was their heel color guy; but they portrayed him as being very knowledgeable of the sport (think Bobby Heenan or....Mike Tenay). I thought that Tenay fit that look perfectly, and I doubt I'll ever change it because Tenay's face and voice absolutely fits his character.
Did I miss anyone?

Gargano hair/facial hair wise is more accurate of what I'm after, but Roode is a naturally sensible choice!

Okay, let's see if I can remember everyone:
Chris Kanyon (Self) - One of my fav wrestlers that I felt was under rated, I was intimidated to create my own wrestler to start RPing, so I started using him to find my footing. Little did I know he'd be my most successful character in the long run.
GQ Money (self) - An actual manager in XPW, his TV persona matched the cocky attitude I had with Kanyon, so I thought it'd be cool to use him as a manager.
Obsidian (Julio Dinero) - Inherited from Graff I believe, and never changed him.
Nicole Bass (self/Tara Reid) - Initially, I wanted a body guard for Kanyon, and I remembered her, and she was just weird enough to work, because he'd never hire a guy to be his body guard and possibly over shadow him. Tara Reid was for the post plastic surgery revenge angle, I just needed a cute blonde chick and she must have been popular at the time.
Jill Johansson (Morgan Webb) - I had a huge crush on Morgan Webb, so I needed to use her pic base somehow. Initial plan was for her to hook up with Kanyon, but through writing, the story turned her into La Parka's dame.
La Parka (self) - I love La Parka, I don't remember exactly why I started using him, but he totally fits with the band of misfits he was with.
Jim (John Krasinsky) - I loved the office, so I threw him in to implement that awkward comedy while expanding "The Enterprise" into a business.
Curtis Kanyon (Rhino/Rhyno) - Another favorite wrestler of mine, and planned to be a tough brawler just like him.
Esmerelda Kanyon (Sofia Vergara) - I had a crush on her too! Way before Modern Family! I'm ahead of the curve! So that's his hot wife.
Pedro Kanyon (Elián González) - I needed a hispanic kid, and he was the randomest I could think of.
Mr. X (Kane) - With mask and without, initially I wanted to make an intimidating yet mysterious body guard, and Kane made sense to me.
Mistress Pain (Micke James) - Mr. X's short lived actual manager/girlfriend, mainly picked for her hotness, but also becuase I planned for her to wrestle. He initially talked about her in the same way Bray Wyatt talks about Sister Abigail for a long time before I decided to make her a real girl.
Shadow Dragon (Ultimo Dragon) - I wanted to make a cruiserweight, and we didn't have any masked wrestlers at the time, and Ultimo was one of my favorite wrestlers to use in WCW vs. NWO, so all those reasons combined.
Evil-Borg (The Masked Rider) - The Tron's needed an enemy, and I loved the Masked Rider as a kid, more than Power Rangers, unfortunately it didn't last as long here in the states. But I had him be the Evil-Borg to honor his memory.
Also Mongo, I remember I ran into Gavin Loudspeaker at a convention, and I only knew who he was because of you! I think I even got a picture with him and he was so happy I knew who he was. I probably showed you or tagged you on myspace (damn we're old).

Also yeah, I totally forgot that you did the Sister Abigail thing before Bray did

I've never seen him in video. In my mind, I was taking a picture with Randy Angel, because that's the only way I knew him.
