The voice of Northern Pro Wrestling caught up with Gus Arnold a couple of hours after Shockwave went off the air. The Owner of Northern Pro Wrestling sat behind a large oak desk and was decked out in a black and red 'Warehouse' Tracksuit. For a man who tends to keep a pretty strong pokerface, it's clear that there is a hint of excitement to Gus on this occasion after what would have to be classified as a successful event. The man with hands the size of baseball gloves, and a voice as deep as the grand canyon has decided to share some of his candid thoughts on the current state of his company.
Samuels: "Northern Pro fans, I'm here with Gus Arnold. Gus, what an event tonight turned out to be."
Gus: "Tonight's card was one that will live in infamy for years to come. We launched a new division, we welcomed outsiders from all over the network to compete - and our night culminated in an epic battle between Eron Hunter and Jesse Jamester. Two men that have put this company on their backs, and put their bodies through pain and agony to settle their differences. The respect shared between the two of them at the conclusion of their match sent chills down my spine."
Samuels: "There might not have been a dry eye in the building. You mentioned The new Trios division - give us your thoughts on what you saw tonight."
Gus: "HNDRXX stood out to me tonight. He definitely went from under the radar, to in full focus in the span of one match. The ReVenants rose to the occasion tonight, like I thought they might. Those three have been through thick and thin together, and got their first big win as a group."
[Gus' voice trails off.]
Gus: "I can't say I know what's going on in Gordon Carlson's mind. But if I'm Ronnie Long or Jay Stevens, I might want to pull him aside and straighten him out. But if I know Gordon like I think I do, he likely has his sights set on a few of the heavy hitters in locker room."
[Gus sighs.]
Gus: "What the KGB perpetrated tonight was absolutely disgusting. I feel for Freakke, who was blindsided by Donzig. Speaking of which, I have decided to make that match for August on the Atlantic day 2. Donzig against Freakke, and let's see who rises to the occasion. As for Armand, Eddie D and Soutter - they might have their hands full with the Galactic Sex Pirates."
Samuels: "Certainly one of the biggest surprises tonight was that you welcomed a total of eight new members to the roster. Tell us how the signing of the GSP took place."
Gus: "I'm constantly scouting talent, and I have my eyes and ears open. I had heard the rumours of how professional and experienced the crew was from their days in RSW and other places. After Call to Arms, I reached out to their agent, and we were able to reach an agreement. Suffice it to say, the traffic at the top of the card just picked up some steam."
Samuels: "Is there anyone or anything else that's top of mind for you at the moment?"
Gus: "'D' has been on a tear as of late and wants to bring prestige to the Northern Openweight Championship. So much so, that he's willing to host open challenges on Honor on a monthly basis. Moreover, D is preparing to represent Northern Pro Wrestling at Overheated, and then perhaps Night of Champions. His upcoming match against XHF Legend and Co Holder of the XHF Tag Team Championships; Steve Awesome could steal the show at August on the Atlantic. I have it penciled in as the main event of Day 2. The key will be for both men to avoid Esmerelda Von Krauss at all costs - which is easier said than done."
"The other main event at August on the Atlantic will be between the North American Double Crown Champion; Lord Dominicus who will defend his championship against the man that cost him the North American Cruiserweight Championship, and the same man that he has yet to defeat in their two contests - Niko. The Darkstars are always in the middle of the action, and are top contenders in just about every division in Northern Pro Wrestling. Its time for these two to settle the score, and one man will prevail. There must be a winner!"
"As for the rest of the show, I've agreed to allow Timeless to continue his exhibition at August on the Atlantic."
"As you all heard, Marcus Smith is back in Northern Pro Wrestling. After a solid performance at KoH in J-ROK - Smith and his partner Black Jaguar will challenge Prime Time for the Imperial Crown Tag Team Championships on July 15th. Marcus will then challenge Jay Stevens in a 'coming of age' contest for the North American Cruiserweight Championship at 'AoTA' Day 1."
Samuels: "There you have it folks. We are officially half way through 2021, and it has been a banner year for Northern Pro Wrestling. With an influx of new talent and some new divisions on the horizon - my guess is that business is going to continue to pick up on a regular basis. That's all for now. This was 'Shockwave'..."
