There was a small lizard in a cage.
Steve Awesome gazed at it.
“One day I will gather the secrets of your giant brother.”
Steve Awesome shakes his head.
“Jamester.”
He nods.
“You are pretty impressive im not gonna lie. I dig the whole look and the whole giant reptile thing. Not too many people would have the balls to step out to the ring looking like a giant green idiot but I have to say you pull off the look.”
Steve nods and gives him a slow clap.
“I like the way you can call me a relic of the nineties when you're out here wrapping everything in barbed wire and preaching extreme violence like we didn't go through enough hepatitis and concussion scares as it is. The thing is, Jamester, you are the cliche. A hardcore wrestler who bleeds for a living. I know thats common place here in the XHF but I knew that coming in id be different then the rest.``
He runs a palm through his feathered brown hair.
“I dont need to bleed for them to like me, Jesse. I dont need to maim, kill, destroy, my opponents to get fans and attention. You know what I do?”
He reaches up, lowers his sunglasses and winks. Followed by a smile and a point. A lady near by screams and collapses to the ground.
“Sorry bout that….”
Steve said. Some people rush to her side to help her. The ladys friend screams at Steve.
“How about a little warning before you unleash all your good looks and charm like that!?”
Steve holds his arms up and backs up.
“Your right, I should have been more thoughtful.”
Steve turns back into the camera.
“You see? Thats why I’m main event and you are just a spectacle. Just a train wreck people watch and feel disgusted by after they watch it. Without the barbed wire and without the blood, you are just a big goof in a lizard mask.”
He shrugs.
“But you did just win a triple threat against Dylan and Spike. I do have to give that to you, it isnt easy. But to me, that just means you got extra eyes on you. You got momentum rolling in. Well im going to stop it in its tracks and take all that momentum for myself.
Steve nods and rubs his palms together.
“And then Fowler.”
Steve hesitates.
“I dont know that much about you to be honest. I’m sure you're not that bad if you have made it to this level. But thats good for me, because now I have the chance to show off my ability to adapt. And im going to use that ability to personality welcome you to NPW.”
He looks at his open palm.
“With a celebratory, first edition, slap right to the mouth.”
He looks into the camera with a glare.
“You just walked into one of the toughest companies on the network and it just so happens you are debuting against two of the biggest names in the company today. So I hope you brought your game face Fowler.”
He nods with confidence.
“Because Im coming to whip some ass and keep showing the world why im a legend. And that means you too will just have to fall behind me.”
He grins.
“Its just face of the franchise stuff.”
