Tonight, tonight is Monday night, the night showing that the new work week is in full force. Ultimate Showdown has gone in the record books as one of the most successful WCF Pay Per Views in their history. A new legend was made, new alliances were born, title changes, rookies getting their start, but there was one thing that some people never expected. The fans of WCF thought he was done, out with a broken neck. However, he explained to the fans last night, it was only a sprain. The man they all hated at one point this year because of his actions towards wrestlers like Torture and Creeping Death, the two most beloved wrestlers on the roster of Wrestling Championship Federation. But even when he faced the most hated man in the long history of WCF, Logan, he was still booed by the fans. He never got the fans on his side. No matter who he faced, what he won, who he lost to, the fans never embraced the two year wrestler. But last night, something unexpected happened, some of the fans were cheering him as he was making a speech in the ring. It was mostly boos yet but a few fans were cheering, even chanting his name, happy to see that he is back in the ring. During his speech, he mentioned how he wants to start off at the bottom, in order for him to restart his career in WCF. We know what he did before this year. Beat Creeping Death in a Triple Threat Match for the WCF World Title. Then, he just stopped caring about WCF. He was late to show up every week, would take the easy way out of defending the title he once wanted so much. He was able to cheat his way to a win or a DQ until he came across Outcast. With some help from Bobby Cairo, Outcast was able to beat him for the WCF World Title. After that, he cared less, which some thought wasn’t possible. He lost to Logan at Payback, so he “quit” wrestling for a grand total of two weeks until he came back under his real name, confusing everyone. That didn’t last long either as he was fired for unprofessional conduct backstage. But, he returned after a talk with Seth Lerch. He faced off against Torture at Aftermath in what some people call another great WCF Pay Per View main event. It was there where he sprained his neck. At the time though, he thought it was broken was thus wasn’t sure about his WCF future. Last night, we found out though. So that’s how he got here, in a match at Sunday Slam this week against two men new to the Wrestling Championship Federation, Thunder and Chris North. Thunder made his debut at Ultimate Showdown, but it was a losing effort while Chris North is making his true debut on Sunday. Their opponent is a focused. Their opponent is a former World Champion, a former Cruiserweight Champion and a man who has beat some of the best WCF has offered. Thunder and Chris North have to face the one and only, Reckless Jack on Sunday. But, Reckless Jack is still in New York, at his home, working on a few things before he takes off for the WCF Arena for his redebut this Sunday. For those that remember, Reckless Jack lost his first match back in WCF to Eric Willson after Creeping Death hit him in the head with a Kendo Stick. To him, Thunder and Chris North represent his new road to the top of the WCF Mountain, but it’s going to be a hard one.
We cue into the home of Reckless Jack in Brooklyn, New York. His apartment is messy. Magazines and books scattered all over the floor. Pizza boxes are covering up the counter tops in the kitchen. His office though, it neatly clean. Everything is where it should be. Reckless Jack’s old title belts, articles, awards, etc. are all on the wall, arranged by chronological order. Of course, it dates with WCF first of all, since he made his wrestling debut in this company. On his desk, there are various images of his upcoming DVD, “The Reckless Jack Story: Recklessness Isn’t a Word, It’s a Way of Life.” Many of them show him holding a title in the air but a few show him bloody after one of his grueling hardcore matches against the likes of Creeping Death whether it was in the XCW they were in together or his hardcore match against Torture a couple of months ago. Either way, these covers look to be amazing. Then we see Reckless Jack staring out a window, watching the people walk along the streets of Brooklyn. Kids are playing on the sidewalks, cars are zooming past, laughter is heard from people telling stories or jokes to one another, but this doesn’t seem to faze Reckless Jack. Looking closer, we notice that Reckless Jack is wearing the brand new hoodie of himself. Much like the one he wore at Ultimate Showdown, which is available at WCFShop.com, so go order it. Anyways, his pants are just normal jeans, and the shoes, well, Nikes, something Reckless Jack doesn’t wear often. He rubs his eyes as he turns around, walking to his desk. He sits down in his chair, putting the feet on the desk itself, before turning on iTunes. He browses through his vast song collection, perhaps getting a feel for the mood today? Reckless Jack finally stops and clicks on a song. Upon hearing the song for a few seconds, it is determined that he has put on “Beating on Death’s Door” by Lamb of God. He turns the volume down so it’s just barely heard as a background song. He sighs and takes a deep breath. He exhales and runs his fingers through his black/blonde hair. A dye job gone wrong most likely. Anyways, he takes his feet off the desk and places his hands on the desk now. A few seconds, then minutes of silence fill the air, outside of the music that is barely audible at the moment. Finally, Reckless Jack begins to speak.
Reckless Jack: Here am I, once again, sitting before the WCF fans. The fans who I had thought hated me my whole time here. Last night though, I was cheered by a few of them. But for what? Showing more enthusiasm then I have all year? I don’t know, but that took me off guard though. Hearing those fans chant for Reckless Jack sent chills down my spine. Hear those fans cheering for me in general sent chills down my spine. Never have I gotten such a good reaction in WCF this year. It’s always been “I hate you Reckless Jack” or “Fuck you Reckless” from the fans. So I went on to tell you all, well the people there and the people watching at their homes on Pay Per View that I want to start again down at the bottom. I want to work my way from the ground up. I want to show you fans that I still have what it takes. It begins this week against Chris North and Thunder.
Reckless Jack spins his chair around and stands up. He starts to pace around his office, thinking of the right words to say.
Reckless Jack: Yeah, I am making my return as the Reckless Jack of old this week against the two men I mentioned in a Triple Threat match. The last match I truly cared about here in WCF was a Triple Threat match against Logan and Creeping Death. Those two put up a fight and I expect nothing less from Chris North and Thunder. I know Thunder was in a match at Ultimate Showdown last night. He made a debut like me, he lost to a better man. Of course though, he did have someone hit him in the head with a fucking kendo stick either. But I guess I had that coming though. Thunder, you seem to be a good wrestler and all but this is my time to make my return. You blew your chance at your first win last night and it won’t happen this Sunday either. In all honesty, I think you would be better served to go against someone like Nate Nytro. A man who lost anything and everything through out his career in wrestling. Of course though, he did beat me once or twice. Outside of that though, Nate Nytro was nothing. Anyways, enough talking about Nate Nytro. Thunder, you have money do you not? Then why wrestle. I mean, if I had money like that, I wouldn’t be wrestling… well, I would be, but for free.
I saw your promo for Ultimate Showdown. While you are a good wrestler, you think you are the greatest. That is the problem with you rookies, you aren’t humble enough to know when someone is better then you are. Chad Allen and Conrad Howell may not have been able to match you hold for hold but stepping into the ring with me is an entirely different story. Watch my matches with Logan, one of the so called greatest wrestlers in WCF. Watch how I went hold for hold with him. Watch me kick out of two of his Connectors. Thunder, in due time you will be great, but for the time being, all you are, is just a potential victim to the Reckless Killing.
Reckless Jack stops pacing back and forth. He stands up right for a few seconds, before returning to pacing around the room, like some sort of caged animal, ready to be unleashed.
Reckless Jack: Then we have a true debut of Chris North. He looks like he has been through hell doesn’t he? The man is possessed by some sort of demon maybe. I don’t know for sure. But Mr. North looks to be quite an odd man. I mean, maybe he isn’t a man at all. Maybe he is this “monster” that voice was saying to him. I don’t know and I really don’t care. All he Chris North is psycho. I thought I had a split personality a few months ago, but he takes the cake. But, I could just go outside of the ring and let Chris North and Thunder beat each other to the point of death before making a move. But that would be the Reckless Jack everyone hated. No, I am going to take the fight to them. I will teach them what it’s like to be in WCF. These two think they have a chance at beating me on Slam? I don’t think so.
These two rookies will find out why I am a former WCF World Champion. Why I am considered by some people as one of the best in WCF a few months ago. These two will find out why I am called Reckless Jack. On Sunday, these two better be ready for me. If not, they will suffer in defeat and ponder “How did I become another victim, to the Reckless Killing?”
Reckless Jack pushes the camera over, as it goes into static.
After watching this, we do wonder for real now if Reckless Jack does mean he wants to earn his way back towards the top. I guess we can only think about it for now. The coming months will truly show if he is for real or not. Only time can tell what will happen between now and Sunday. Will Reckless Jack be able to deliver or will Chris North or Thunder be able to score a huge win, knocking off the former WCF World Champion?
We start off tonight on the streets. You should have heard of them by now. The place where people walk, drive, bike, skateboard, roller blade, etc. to get where they need to go in life. But one man likes to walk his way around town. One man chooses to just simply walk to where he needs to go. Of course, one has to realize that in the long run, walking has its advantages over driving. The advantages: exercise, fresh air, take your time to where ever you are going. But there are many disadvantages though, I mean, who would want to tire themselves out before a huge match on Sunday Slam. This is his road back to the top after all. The higher up you are the more fame, money, women, cars, bright lights, and the overall feeling of being awesome because you can call yourself the best. One would think that the life of a wrestler would be somewhat easy on the road to this fame but it is quite the opposite. The life of a wrestler can be quite tough on the body, mind and spirit.
Back on the streets, we notice Reckless Jack is the man who we saw walking around a bit earlier. He is slapping hands with a few fans as he walks down the street. A few women are seen talking about him like school girls, until they notice the ring. They walk along, not longer look at him. There is a scar from his little light tube hitting thing from last night. Other then that though, nothing appears out of the ordinary. He walks up a bit of stairs to get to his apartment building. He shuts the door behind him as he checks the mail box. Nothing in there. He shrugs his shoulders the elevator opens. Reckless Jack punches the button for the third floor. The elevator shuts and begins its ascent to the third floor. Not a very long ride as the door dings open. Reckless Jack walks out and keeps going until he gets to apartment number 36. He opens the door to see his lovely wife reading a magazine. Reckless Jack grins once he sees once the magazine is. We look to see it is some random porn magazine. He nods then heads to his office. Of course, this is a different apartment from what we are used to seeing. They must have gotten a new one, which is pretty badass. Reckless Jack looks around the room, seeing all of his old titles, newspaper articles, pictures, among his other accolades in his two year career in wrestling. One has to remember, this time of the year is going much better for him compared to last September when he was in the insane asylum for various reasons. Anywho, Reckless Jack sits down at his desk and logs onto his computer. The next thing we know he is looking at the new and improved WCF website. Reckless Jack is looking at the various columns, results, wrestler pages, etc. Then he sees the preview for Slam this week. He sees the other matches on the show besides his for the evening. He closes the window and gets up from his chair. Reckless Jack heads back out to the living room to see Lucy watching TV now. She is laughing as Reckless Jack sits down next to her on the couch they have. He puts his arm around her as she leans in and puts her head on his shoulder.
Reckless Jack: Anything good on?
Lucy: Not really… just South Park.
Reckless Jack: It’s not that bad of a show. I heard you laughing.
Lucy: I’m not much for little kids cussing all the time. I wish Family Guy was on.
Reckless Jack: It will be on Sunday.
Lucy: But I gotta watch you wrestle on Sunday.
Reckless Jack: Speaking of which, I have another match on my long road back to the top of Wrestling Championship Federation. This week, I get another good up and comer in Danny Vice. He is having some good matches against that other kid, Skyler Striker.
Lucy: Yeah, I remember watching that match last week on Slam, it was pretty good.
Reckless Jack: But not as good as the redebut of myself though. You saw me beat Chris North and Thunder in a pretty competitive match. If those two keep at it, they’ll have a good future in WCF. But Danny Vice though, he gets me in a singles match on Slam. Which is tough luck for the kid. I mean, he can go out and have a good match with Skyler Striker but against me, it is a whole different story. You haven’t faced a wrestler like me before. Ask anyone in WCF what it is like to have me in the ring for a one on one match. Hell, even ask Thunder or Chris North how good I am. They found out last week and you’ll find out this week.
Reckless Jack gets up and walks around the room.
Reckless Jack: Danny Vice, all you are is just another name to me. Until you really impress me, that’s all you’ll continue to be, is just another name in the pack. Much like everyone else in wrestling, I had to work my way up the ladder. Here in WCF, I was thrusted into a series of matches against Creeping Death which gave me a crash course in everything. I mean, I was in the main event of two Slam which were my second and third match in wrestling. Then at One, I beat Creeping Death in his match, but that is history. Then last year, ask Nate Nytro about the matches we were putting on out there. We tore the house down every night.
He goes and grabs a bottle of water. Reckless Jack unscrews the cap and takes a drink.
Reckless Jack: Then this year, my up and down year. I started this year off like a house of fire. I was able to win the World Title here in WCF before my ego got the best of me. All of a sudden, I thought everyone should roll over and die for me in the ring. That came back and bit me in the ass when I had to face Outcast. He beat me so I just kinda lost intrest in WCF for quite awhile. Then at Aftermath, I was the first real challenge to Torture for that World Title. We put each other through hell and back that night. I sprained my neck, thought it was broken at the time. That match against Torture almost ended my career. But I came back after a month ready to go again. You saw last week. You saw me get the win over those two a pretty good match.
Reckless Jack gulps the rest of the bottle down before throwing it in the trash.
Reckless Jack: Danny Vice, I want you to ask yourself if you are ready. Are you ready to face a talent like Reckless Jack so early in your WCF career. If you manage to beat me on Sunday, it will help you in ways you could never imagine. Danny, if you beat me, you could claim you beat the best in the world. But, that won’t be the case on Slam. Danny, you aren’t ready to beat a wrestler like me. Maybe in a year you could go against me once again. But for the time being, I am simply too good for you to beat. It’s simple really, you get in that ring on Sunday and try to compete against me. I beat you and you go the back thanking your lucky stars I didn’t kill you. My drive to get back to the top of WCF is high right now. I am ready to get back to the position I was once at. All you are Danny is just another step in my climb back to the top.
With that being said, we fade away for now.
We start on a roof. The roof of a tall building tonight. As we look in closer, we see that Reckless Jack is standing on the roof, decked out in jeans, an Atreyu shirt, ADIDAS Superstar Shoes and a New York Mets hat that is backwards. Reckless Jack stands against pile of bricks, looking at the stars out in the sky. Reckless Jack rolls his neck around before he looks directly at the camera that always seems to be around him. The stars are shining brightly at this moment but who knows how long that will last. You could consider the sky to be like the career of a wrestler. One minute, you are bright as could be until those dark clouds roll in overhead and before you know it, you are nothing but a shell of your past self or even worse, an unrespected wrestler. That seems to be the career of Reckless Jack so far. At one point, he was a respected wrestler, had a great future. That is until he went and messed it all up by making many wrong choices. Now though, it seems that he is ready to make amends for his “sins” if you will. His opponent for Slam this week is one of those stars in the sky that shine so brightly. But who knows what the future holds for Danny Vice after Reckless Jack is through with him. As we stare into the eyes of Reckless Jack we notice that he has that old look in his eyes. That look that got him to be the best in WCF. That look that enabled him to beat many great wrestlers before his ego filled downfall. His spirit is renewed and is full of life once more. There is only one way to figure out what is on the mind of Reckless Jack and that is to listen to the words that come out of his mouth…
Reckless Jack: Danny Vice, you have no idea what you have gotten yourself into. Sure, your brother is laid up in a hospital bed, but that is the risk of having family around you wrestling. Sure, what Skyler Striker did to your family was a bit, shitty, but that shouldn’t matter at all. Hell, why you are more concerned with Skyler this week then you are on your opponent for Slam this week? Sure, you can overlook the fact that you have to face me, Reckless Jack, this week on Slam in order to gain any sort of revenge on Skyler Striker. However, that isn’t the best strategy in the world. You could overlook the fact that you are stepping into the ring with someone who was the best in the past. You could overlook the fact that I may have the most dangerous array of moves in WCF today. You could even overlook the fact that you simply are focused enough to beat a wrestler like myself yet.
Reckless Jack grabs a brick and throws it off the roof. We hear the smash of a car as Reckless Jack laughs as he hears people yelling.
Reckless Jack: Oh that’s great stuff there. Don’t you just love messing with people’s minds like that? I mean, its great from the sense that they have no idea how that happened. Did the brick fall off the building or was it thrown by a jackass? Anyways, Danny Vice can’t be more concerned with Skyler Striker though. There are many people who overlooked me in their career and well, it bit them in the ass to be quite frank. Not to get to far in my past tonight, but taking Creeping Death for example when I came into WCF. He overlooked me only to fall flat on his ass. I mean, sure he was/is great but he failed to see the fact that I am quite the opponent.
Reckless Jack starts walking away from the bricks, slowly though as we see there is dust on his back. He walks around as the stars are shining brightly. He spits on the roof as he turns his back to the camera.
Reckless Jack: But I have earned my right to run my mouth. I have earned the right to talk about who I have beat in the past. Who I have taken to their absolute limit. You on the other hand should be more respectful to someone who knows what works around here. Danny, your lack of respect has pissed me off. To claim you are the future of this company is quite, well, for a lack of better terms here, {Mongo Edit: Nah we don't say that anymore}. Don’t you realize that I have only been wrestling for two years? Don’t you realize that dispite my many hardcore matches over those two years I am still in great shape, minus that neck sprain. Danny, you have to understand that this is about more then you calling yourself the future of WCF. Hell, at one time I was just like you. Young, cocky, thought I could beat anyone in WCF at any given time. A few ass kickings later, I found out that I was quite wrong. I found out that the wrestlers here in WCF are quite skilled at what they do. You will find out that no matter how good you are, there is always someone a bit better. Take myself and Torture for an example. I thought I was the better man and he proved me wrong like a real man should. Can you do that same thing Danny?
Reckless Jack rolls his neck again.
Reckless Jack: Yes I know my road back to the top is going to be tough, but it won’t be because of you. On the mountain to the top Danny, you are merely a pebble compared to some of the other wrestlers I will have to face in the future. You see Danny, you aren’t the future of WCF by a long shot. I am not the future either. No one is exactly the future of this wrestling company. Everyone in the collectively in WCF makes up the future. Not just a single person. If one person leaves, it could cripple the company unless someone else steps up and fills their spot and ensures that this company has a future. Danny, I will prove my point to you at Slam tomorrow night. I will show you that you aren’t the future of WCF. Mr. Vice are you prepared? Are you ready to face the most Reckless man in wrestling? There is only one way to find out and that is to step into the ring with me. Danny, be sure to rest up… be sure you are well fed… be sure that you are truly ready, if not, you will become just another victim… to the Reckless Killing…
A thunder storm rolls in, perhaps proving the point about the career of a wrestler that once shown so brightly only to get covered by an ego, a mistake or just blind faith. Reckless Jack smirks as he heads inside…
We cue into the home of Reckless Jack in Brooklyn, New York. His apartment is messy. Magazines and books scattered all over the floor. Pizza boxes are covering up the counter tops in the kitchen.
