"Been sittin' here for a few hours now trying to think of something to say about my career. After Nothing To Lose I was pretty happy with the win Spike and I got over the giant, lumbering jackasses. Like I said to 'em they were gonna end up falling hard and they indeed did. The Kane brothers finally picking up a tag team win in over three years here in this promotion.
Yep three long years since the two of us had gotten a win teaming with the other. But now it's going to be a common thing I feel. The Internationals want to get in our faces? That's fine. More power to them. But if we can drop two giants like The Lockes then what happens when two guys step to us and they're no bigger then I am?
I'll leave the two of you to ponder that one for a while.
With who I have on my plate this week has me thinking a lot about a father and son relationship. Quite a few of us wrestlers here have issues with our fathers. Almost a bit sad when you think about. How many people here have disowned their dads. How many of us wish we had a different ones. And yet some of our fathers are key figures in this promotion's history.
This week I have the honor of facing Xander Famularo. The current X Champion after defeating the mythical Jason Evans who is one of the best wrestlers of all time.
...
Yeah I couldn't keep a straight face on that one either. But so far, Xander, you've put quite a small run here together this year. From your Coliseum win to this run with the X Championship people have taken notice that the son of the legendary Gib is coming into this own.
It must be tough having to live up to the expectations of a father like you had. Your dad is one of the best this world has seen from what I've heard. Honestly never caught a whole lot of what he's done in his career but I'm sure its more then some other so called famous fathers have done in their careers.
I mean thank god you don't go running around screaming a simple math equation to get your point home. Rather you back up your words and let your talent speak for itself when the situation arises which has been quite often.
Sometimes when I reflect on my own year its been nothing but me huntin' for someone's blood. Gardner, Adam Knite and those two dumb giants it seems like I've been wanting to inflict the most pain possible on my opponent to end their career. This might the be start of Brad Kane just starting to wrestle again.
I have no ill will towards you Xander. I respect the hell out of a man who can knock someone out cold like that. I respect the hell out of a man who tries to look past what his father has done and make something of himself without having to resort to bringing it up every five seconds.
Just remember one thing though, Xander. You're not the only one who can knock someone out in the manner of one single blow. You got that Widowmaker, I got the Backfist. I suppose I have the Killshot too. But you got a height and weight advantage over me so that helps you out more.
Reckon this all comes down to who wants this more in the end. Xander Famularo, the son of Gib or would it be Brad Kane, the son of a guy who likes to fake his own death. I'll give my father one thing. He passed on whatever gene it was for a big dick.
Still I'd like for the two of us to keep this somewhat friendly and respectable. As I stated I got nothing against you. Just want a good, clean match against one of the better wrestlers this promotion has. I don't think that's too much to ask for.
Peace."
