"Well so much for Ricky Johnson. Beat the dude again. Gave me a good match for the people who enjoy the Collision pre show. Don't mind getting on all the different shows, its nice to not always be set on one or the other. Like being on Wired instead of the pay per view. Sometimes we just can't make it onto the big show so we have to deal with it.
Lord knows I've been off of enough pay per views in my career so it's not a big deal. Not like I was a house of fire right now anyways. Sure I beat Venom and Ricky Johnson who are both on pay per view but gotta go with who is a better man to get the buy rates right now. Can't fault you for not thinking I wouldn't bring my best game to pay per view.
We all know how much I like to half ass this stuff most of the time. Even though I'm teaming with my best friend here, finally, you'll still think I'll retire, leave, not care, half ass or whatever the hell I feel like doing that week. Well, I got some news for you people. When I team with Evan Andrews, I give it everything I have.
Teaming with Evan Andrews is probably the best thing about my career right now. The man and I are best friends, our wives are best friends and we all just get along like a family sometimes. A family that swaps wives but we still are close and tight knit. We train together, we work out together and we drink watchin' football when we're able.
So when I look at this match against Adam Knite and Will Washington, I see a chance to show nCw something they haven't seen from me before. A willingness to lay it on the line the entire match because my best friend has my back. Not some guy who stabs it like Lance Ryan did. Not my dumbass brother who would constantly want to beat the hell out of me.
Nah, this is a guy I can trust with my life. Evan Andrews is a guy I can trust to look after my children when I'm with Megan on a date. He can trust me with his kid when him and Natalie on a date. We don't hold anything back from one another, no secrets, anymore anyways. The relationship I have with Evan Andrews is like a brother one.
Evan Andrews is my brother, pure and simple. So when I see Adam and Will trying to form this cohesive unit, I'm just not all that certain that it's possible for them to have any sort of long term success because of their respective egos. I know both men are loved by the people but we've all seen Adam Knite do some stuff in his career.
Do people so easily forget that he tried to kill this company a couple of years ago with Lance Ryan? Seems like that all gets lost in the shuffle and hype when it comes to Adam Knite. People view this man as a hero now when at one point he was the villain of this promotion. They wanted his head on a platter but all it took was a little of this and a little of that before he became a damned hero to the people watching this product.
I have no problem with Adam Knite. I respect him, I've said it before. Glad he got his wife back a couple of months ago and all that jazz but I don't forget what he once was either. I'm sure he knows a few things about me that people have forgotten over time themselves. It's not like I plan on ending his career or Will's career for that matter.
Although this time last year, Will Washington was a guy who came out of nowhere to become a force. This man came out of the blue to nearly win the Road to the Gold. Then earlier this year he became the Gladiator of 2010. Not too bad of a year when you think about it. But when I take a step back and look at you, William. Do you know what I see?
A guy who still hasn't realized what he has yet. It's like you're waiting for it to come to you. That great moment that every wrestler needs to define his career. You're sitting and waiting for it. I don't know if you think that Adam will help bring that to you or not but you have to reach for it Will. I knew a guy like you once.
You could say he was hard in a way. The man nearly had greatness in his grasp all the time and yet he let it slip past and slip past until once he finally got to the top, he had become something no one could get along with. The man had become a bitter person, willing to do anything to hold onto that glory and fame when it was realized.
It's not like I'm trying to say you're not actively waiting for it, Will but I just don't know why you haven't reached that tier of greatness yet. You're so close to it. Yet it's just out of your reach. I know how it is. It's not a fantastic feeling but you'll get there kid. You got the talent for this business so I have no doubt you'll be there on the top of the mountain in due time.
Knitington, I don't have a problem with you two fellas. This is what wrestling should be. Two teams, no ill feelings with one another wanting to steal the show before the pay per view starts. I think the four of us have more then enough talent to do that."
