Takaru Matsui is sitting in the old dive bar not far from the arena once more, two empty bottles of Molson at his elbow. Another in his hand, and he nods to himself with a half smile as he watches the game on TV as classic rock played in the background. Then he shrugged, and took another swig of beer before he spoke. 'Patience. Knowing when to strike is an art. It is a talent in and of itself, and a wise man knows when to make his move. A hunter knows the opportune moment to strike his prey, after all you only get one shot. One chance to take your prey down quickly.'
Takaru nodded sagely, and his hand lifted to tap his temple. 'The Bandits? Rob Riot is not a foolish man, he is a man who knows his business. He is a fighter, and I know he will not let me or Hnndrx take him down easily. I have seen what Rob Riot has done recently. Yet I know he is distracted by the KGB, by the Revenants, by his desire for gold. And so his mind is not on the fight with us. His mind is not focused, not prepare for this fight.'
Takaru smirked, and he leaned back slightly. 'I am.'
A wave of his hand, and he finished the bottle at his hand before he called for another. 'His partner, Frank Windsor? He is the same, though perhaps he is not quite in ring shape. And he is already hurt, injured, and I will not promise to not exploit that weakness. Inside that ring? All is fair in love and war as an old friend used to say. You see the Bastards have something to prove.'
He nodded his thanks to the bartender, and he thought for a moment before he took another drink of his beer. 'The KGB? The Revenants? They are living in their heads. The Bastards are not being patient, they are not waiting for the chance to strike. They want their enemies to suffer and they want them to suffer now. But I don't have that problem, the Bastards are not my enemy. They are opponents, and I will defeat them inside the ring and move on.'
He shrugged, and he smiled as he gestured with the bottle. 'In fact, I only have one enemy in NPW and he will wait for me. And I am very patient. Which means Rob Riot and Frank Windsor have all my attention. And when the moment is right? When they are not ready, when their guard is down? I will strike, and they will fall. And I will leave them to their war with the Bandits and the Revenants.'
