Takaru Matsui sits on the beach staring out at the ocean, washing the waves crash against the rocks and sand. The wind snaps and swirls around him as he sits, eyes focused on the rising surf before he shrugs. A rock cast from his hand, and he turns to the camera with a roll of his shoulders before he gave a half smile. 'Rob Riot. Frank Windsor. They suddenly have a lot to say.'
He laughed, slowly digging another round rock from the sand before he rolled it around his hand. Fingers sweeping away the moist sand, and he bounced it in his hand before he continued. 'Rob Riot, you and the GSP did save me from the KGB. But let's be honest, you would have saved anyone from the KGB. You know as well as I do, that it didn't matter who they were attacking? The results would have been the same, not that I didn't appreciate it. Yet as you say? Does it matter?'
Takaru smirked, rolling the round stone in his fingers before he flung the rock towards the surging water. It disappeared beneath the waves, and he shrugged once more as he continued.
'My father was a hard man, Rob Riot. He spoke as you do, he said that honor had no place in what we do. He would do whatever it took to defeat his enemies, he would stoop to any level to get what he wanted. He was not a man of honor, neither was my brother.' Takaru paused, and he fell silent for a minute before he shrugged. 'I was like them once, I was as ruthless. And since you mentioned his name, Rob? So was Donzig, we worked very well together once. He is a man who makes everything seem reasonable, he will make any excuse, any sacrifice to win.'
Takaru absently dug another rock from the sand, and he stared at it before he bounced it in his palm. 'You think I will not do whatever is necessary to defeat you and Frank? You think I will hesitate when the time comes? Rob Riot, I will take you out to win this match. But I promise you? You will see it coming, I will let you know when I am ready to finish it. You say you are not looking past me? But through me? Good.'
The rock was flung into the ocean like the others, and he smiled. 'I am looking through you as well. Your little war with the Revenants and the KGB don't mean anything to me. But you see if I want to prove myself, if I want to prove that I am still the King of Kyoto? Then I will have to go through you, I will have to beat you and your partner. You are my obstacle as well, Rob Riot. So it seems we are at an impasse.'
Takaru slid to his feet, dusting off the sand from his leather as he turned to look at the rising waves. He shrugged, and shook his head before he slowly walked in a circle before he glanced at the camera. 'You think Hendricks wishes to tap you out? But he will never get a chance, Rob. Because I am going to knock you out, you will not be able to tap out as you lay on the mat in a broken heap. Speaking of heaps--'
Takaru smirked, a hand lifting to brush back his black hair.
'Frank. Windsor.' Takaru frowned. 'It must be cold in Rob's shadow, even though you barely fit there. You make some jokes, some childish insults, and you think I should be threatened by you? A man who according to reports is suffering from a concussion? How many kicks to the head can you handle? How many punches? You are the weak link, and I will take pleasure in reminding you of that. Your antics may work against the Revenants? Against the KGB? But your words are as empty as the wind, Frank Windsor.'
Takaru smirked, and he waved a hand as he turned slowly. 'The thing I fear the most about you? Is the stench.'
'Both of you seem very concerned with how to spell my partner's name? But what you should be worried about is what he is going to do to you. You see he is a fighter, and he will not take either of you lightly.' A shrug. 'You see unlike the Bastards? We are hungry, we are eager to win. Well, Frank is probably hungry. But he is just a threat to a buffet. You speak of the Art of War, bastards? You talk of Sun Tzu?'
Takaru folded his arms before him, inclining his head with a smirk as he shrugs. His gaze drifts to the raging surf, watching the ocean pound against the beach before he speaks. 'In the midst of Chaos, there is opportunity.'
A nod.
'The Bastards are in chaos, and I can sense the weakness in you both.'
He laughed, slowly digging another round rock from the sand before he rolled it around his hand. Fingers sweeping away the moist sand, and he bounced it in his hand before he continued.
