*The camera opens on NPW backstage man about town, Blake Samuels. He smiles*
Samuels: Hello ladies and gentlemen, you’re just in luck here as we’re still basking in the revelations of August on the Atlantic’s first night out. And you’re in real luck because I’ve been able to find the-
*Blake is pushed aside by none other than the NPW North American Double Crown Champion, Lord Dominicus. Dominicus is sporting an ice pack in one hand, which he keeps putting to his head. Meanwhile he is wearing the NPW NA DC around his waist*
LD: I found you, and I’m quickly regretting that decision!
*The interviewer doesn’t give up and reasserts himself into the conversation*
Samuels: Lord Dominicus, you were able to defend your championship at Night One, but just barely, against Niko what do-
LD: JUST BARELY!? JUST BARELY!? No no, you totally misunderstood that. You see, I did what a champ does, I won. I didn’t use a fancy finisher because I didn’t need it, I did the one thing I knew Niko wouldn’t
*He uses his ice pack hand to point to his head*
LD: Niko is a beast of wild man….alien….time-traveler- but as you could see he was dumb as rocks. Look Blake, I’ve been the champion of Northern Pro Wrestling for nearly a year
Samuels: But what abou-
LD: What about what?
Samuels: Well if you’d let me finish. What about Eric Dane?
LD: Who? Oh, yeah. Ok, you mean the guy, who along with “Antiquated” Alex Turner and “Forgettable” Gordon Carlson completely ruined the two titles that make up the North American Double Crown Championship? Thus theoretically rendering NPW without a champion?
Samuels: But on that very sam-
LD: I WAS GETTING THERE! On that very same night I became the ONLY singles champion in NPW by winning the North American Cruiserweight Championship. Becoming the de-facto champion of the company and lifting us into a new stratosphere. And then when Eric Dane screwed up the return of the two titles he screwed up, who was there to continue holding everyone up?
Samuels: You?
LD: EXACTLY! There you go, had to get into the right rhythm. We should talk more. I brought stability to the company once again by ousting him and becoming the TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPION! Everything was perfect, I was on my throne and the peons were fighting over the Openweight title and the various team-building gold then somebody, SOMEBODY nosed into a match he had no right in and screwed it up!
Samuels: Well when I talked to Niko, he once again emphatically repeated that his interference causing you to lose the North American Cruiserweight Championship was just business, not personal.
LD: Yes yes, I’ve heard him say that a lot. He probably felt he needed to in case my reign didn’t end- which it didn’t- so that I wouldn’t banish him from my EVIL kingdom. But here’s the thing, Niko. Maybe it wasn’t personal for you, but when you broke the Triple Crown by screwing up my match- you made it personal for ME, thus it was personal.
*The DARK LORD OF NPW has moved in closer to the camera.*
LD: And then, THEN, you had the gall to talk about stabilizing Northern Pro Wrestling by re-unifying the Triple Crown yourself. YOU BROKE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU NINCOMPOOP! I fixed this company through my skill and my genius, and I will continue to lead as your NPW North American Double Crown Champion!
*He calms down and backs up a bit to his previous spot*
Samuels: Now L-
LD: Our business is done now, Niko. You failed in your coup and you disgraced the NPW North American Cruiserweight Championship in the process. But your little tantrum after our match? Kono’s inability to stay in his spot? The double attack? Your DARK LORD has not forgotten.
Samuels: As I was saying, now that you’ve finished off Niko for the time being-
LD: Forever.
Samuels: -What are your next steps? Do you already have another opponent in mind or another goal here in NPW?
LD: Blake let me tell you, here in NPW any time I’ve run into somebody headstrong who’s tried to make their own business I end up being their undoing. And I’d hate to be my own worst enemy so rather than pen my own downfall I’ll continue to allow Gus Arnold to make such decisions. I am a busy man and have not the time for managing my own schedule.
Samuels: So that’s a no?
LD: That’s a warning to everyone on this roster to stay in line or find themselves at the feet of their EVIL CHAMPION.
*With that Lord Dominicus walks away and the segment fades*
