Not Gonna Happen Lochlyn Cade stands inside of an empty ring at his NecroCore Auditorium in London. The ropes are worn and the skirt wrapped around the outside of the ring is dirty. The canvas stained with that of dried blood. His right hand methodically tapping the North American Cruiserweight Championship laid upon his shoulder. The smirk on his face portrays arrogance and the wink strengthens that perception. The camera slowly pans into a closer shot of the Champion and with that comes a slight laugh just before he begins to speak. ‘’Johnny Sniper and then Jay Stevens were the first two who ended the night looking up at the bright lights of Northern Pro. Now it’s Freakke and Rob Garcia that is looking to step between the ropes of competition against yours truly. Oh, don’t think for a moment that I didn’t watch that match between the two of you at Honor on August 25th. I’m not the kind of guy that’s gonna rest on my own laurels. I might be your Cruiserweight Champ but I’m also a student of the game regardless of my accomplishments. I’m always the most prepared guy in the room. You’ll have to excuse me however as I missed that peek through the ropes when the two of you were in the ring. I was rather tied up with my own things that night.” The look upon his face settles onto that of remembrance as he recalls that Championship victory momentarily. It’s obvious by the once again cocky look on his face that he looks upon his own accomplishments proudly. “It was evident by the faces of the audience that they were looking forward to the match between the two of you. Each man coming to that land of Northern Pro after making names for yourselves outside of the company. It was a match that intrigued the fans. There was a lot riding on the match, including potential opportunities. Now, the winner and loser get their opportunity against me. I’m sure that’s a hollow feeling giving each of you a momentary pause. Knowing that either of you could upset the new Champ. It’s not gonna happen. Let me set that record straight now. However, the what ifs are intriguing for both of you and the fans. I’m aware of that as I’m sure both of you are. Again, it’s not gonna happen.” Lochlyn Cade shrugs and then lifts the belt higher up on his shoulder. It’s a physical representation that he’s the guy to defeat, he’s the guy that headlines the match, and he’s the guy that’s going to define the words Northern Pro for the foreseeable future. He smirks and then winks towards the camera as it fades.
