Donzig leans back in his battered wingback chair, tilting his masked head as his fingers restlessly pick at the torn leather and shredded fabric. He taps his fingers against the arm of the chair, and then shrugs before he leans forward. A hiss escaping him, and he waves a hand. 'Steve. Awesome.'
A pause, and Donzig nods to himself before he plants his elbows on his knees as he leans forward. 'I don't want you to think I have forgotten about you, Steve. I mean I have focused alot of my attention on that filthy creature of lies who has my Openweight Championship. And alot of time on my gathered enemies in the battle royal, and I have really wasted alot of time dealing with the boys from Oatmeal.com.'
A finger lifted, and Donzig purred.
'But don't worry, the Lord of Chaos has time for you. You see I am not living in some timeless present like some people, I am not wrestling shadows, or fighting ghosts. In fact, Steve, I have been giving alot of thought to you. You see you are a loose piece, a free radical, a wild card. Great Donzig doesn't like such things, I don't like random elements getting in the way of my plans.' Donzig settles back in the chair again, and his fingers steeple before him. He taps them against the chin of his mask, clearly thinking before he shrugs. 'You see you could easily capitalize on Enigma's blunders, and you could pin me? Or worse, you could steal my rightful victory by pinning Enigma after I destroy him. You could even be pinned by Enigma, after all he hardly needs to beat me! He could just pin you, after all he is not the paragon of virtue everyone seems to think he is.'
Donzig shakes his head, a hand lifting to brush across his mask. And then he rose from the chair, slowly pacing back and forth in the slowly crumbling room. A hand waves, and a finger points at the camera as he takes a deep breath. 'This is a delicate situation, Steve. After all if I have a fault it is that I am often a victim of my own two-dimensional thinking. And then there are your motives? I do not claim to understand how mortal minds work, I only care that they obey. But that just makes you more of a problem doesn't it?'
Donzig paused, hands folding behind his back as he glared out the window into the garden behind the old mansion. His gaze is reflected in the streaked and dusty glass, and he tilts his head. Shoulders rolling before he continues, hissing to himself. 'That leaves us with few options doesn't it, Steve. You should stay home, you should call EVK and go do whatever it is she wants you for. Because Steve Awesome if I see you at Honor? If I lay my eyes on you at Fight for the Fallen?'
A deep breath, and Donzig spoke again in that calm voice of his. 'I am going to hurt you, Steve. I am going to take years off your career. Because Steve I don't like problems, I don't like complications, and I don't like things that are in my way. I don't like people who are in my way. I don't like it when people try to take what is mine! And that means if you get between me and that usurper? If you get between me and that false champion? If you stand between me and Enigma? Well, Steve I won't be held responsible for what happens to you, I won't have that on my conscience. Because I just warned you what would happen.'
Donzig turned, and he gestured vaguely. 'I am sure that was boring and unoriginal, and maybe something you could have seen on Tuesday. But it is what it is, Steve. The Scourge is at least a creature of his word.'
