The solemn song sways throughout the arena as the jam packed Nippon Budokan erupts into cheers. The camera pans across fans and the set for tonights show, before resting on the two commentators.

Psycho KGB: "(Welcome to Midnight Pretenders, I'm Psycho KGB and right here beside me is the lovely MUSHI.)"

MUSHI: "(And we are here live in front of 15,000 fans right in the heart of tokyo, here in Nippon Budokan! Tonight we have a stacked show for you fine fans. The first match sees The always dangerous Hellhounds and new comer Tony Randel take on the dominant KADO. A group who's held an iron grip on J-ROK since it's inception.)"

[color=firebrick}Psycho KGB: "(Speaking of Kado, they have two more matches coming up later on tonight. SERO will defend his New Wave championship against Hannah Rockford and STRiFE will defend her Visual Kei Championship against a man who many call the future of J-ROK, Brendan Harding. Now this is his biggest match to date MUSHI. He's going to have one hell of a mountain to climb!)"[/color]

MUSHI: "(That he does Psycho, that he does. But we have so much more coming on tonight. The return of Tokyo Mass Suicide! The duo of Kira Izumi and Yuki Sakaraba, this will be their first match since their initial break up way back in 2017!)"

Psycho KGB: "(They'll be taking on Die Macht in what could be their final match together ever! With the closing of Destiny Wrestling and the recent split of Sakaraba they're gonna be stretched very thin!)"

MUSHI: "(We also see Deco try to win back the XHF Women's Championship from FWA's Ava Cannon, who won the belt from Momoko Honda just last month at FWA and J-ROK's annual World War event. There will also be a match between the reigning IJWF Champion, Fukushima Zombie and SKY Force's Rin Kubo. This was a match scheduled after she challenged the champion to avenge her friend Nausicaa Suzuki.)"

Psycho KGB: "(And speaking of SKY Force we'll see Shizuku and Hayley defend the tag team titles against the red hot Super Sake Presents: Off The Wagon in a barbed wire, ladders and explosions death match! We have this and so much more waiting for you folks, now lets get ready to rumble!)"

Match One: J-ROK Trios Championship Match; J-ROK Trios Rules; 60 Minute Time Limit
The Hellhounds & Tony Randel Vs. Kado (C.)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the J-ROK Trios Championships! Introducing the challengers, Tony Randel and the Hellhounds!)"

Psycho KGB: "(I have a feeling tonight could be the night! The Hellhounds are a dangerous duo, almost claiming the XHF Tag Team Championships back at Night of Champions. These goliaths could demolish KADO and with Tony Randel at their side I believe it's a given!)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And their opponents, the current J-ROK Trios Champions. KADO!)"

MUSHI: "(KADO's been on a tear lately, last beating HEROES FOR HIRE at the WORLD WAR show. If you think they're going to be beaten by a ragtag group tonight Psycho, you're surely mistaken! Remember that the Hellhounds LOST at Night of Champions. Surely that loss will weigh on them!)"

The match began with SORA and Psycho, the smallest guy on the challengers team, going to town on one another. They throw down, both taking big hits from the other and tackling each other all over the ring! SORA manages to beat Psycho into a pulp and he tags in Tony Randel! Tony puts SORA in the hurt locker, demolishing her and nearly putting her away a few times! SORA crawls to her corner and Tony wants to drag her back but would enjoy another round of torture!

REIKON comes in and speedruns Tony! She just beats him left right and center, kicking his ass all around the ring! All three members of KADO would get some triple team moves on the big guy. OMI and REIKON take the lead, trading in and out and nailing him with fast paced moves that'd stop a train in its tracks!

The end came when all three members of KADO came in and hit a triple powerbomb on Tony! They don't notice that Cerberus tags himself in and absolutely barrels over the trio! He lifts OMI up and Psycho comes back in, they nail her with the STILLBORN CRADLE! CERBERUS PINS OMI AND THE PIN IS COUNTED! OH MY GOD DO WE HAVE NEW TRIOS CHAMPS? ONE TWO THREE!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winner of this match and the NEW J-ROK Trios Champions, Tony Randel and the Hellhounds!)"

MUSHI: "(WOW! What a way to kick off the show! I didn't see that coming!)"

Psycho KGB: "(The Hellhounds are tough cookies, I told you! I can't wait to see who gets to step up to these guys next!)"

Match Two: J-ROK New Wave Championship Match; Glass Pane Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit
Hannah Rockford Vs. SERO (C.)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL! And is for the J-ROK New Wave Championship! Introducing first, the challenger. She is HANNAH ROCKFORD!)"

MUSHI: "(Hannah Rockford is bouncing back from a bit of a slump. After falling in the King of Hokkaido tournament she's had trouble picking up a win lately but she seems to be in better shape and gearing up for a new her!)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And her opponent, he is the J-ROK New Wave Champion! He is SERO!)"

Psycho KGB: "(While I would have agreed that the last KADO match wouldn't end in their favor, I can't express the same bets here. SERO is a dangerous, brutal, lethal guy, and for someone to beat him they can't be slumping. My money's on the champ all the way!)"

We start after ring crews line the entire outside of the ring with glass panes. Crowd is moved back about 20 feet as the bell rings! Hannah begins the match with some lightning fast strikes to the champ. The madman SERO eats it all up with a big grin, before laying her out with a sickening headbutt! She drops and SERO lays into her with some deadly punches, driving his forearm into her face a few times to put her out on the ground. Hannah refused to give up. She pushes back against the violent strong style methods of the champion and utilizes her own strong style techniques, while increasing the speed to her strikes.

Hannah would pick SERO up and send him over the ropes, but he'd skin the cat and not go through any glass! Frustrated, she'd charge him for something but he'd send her up and over, BACK FIRST INTO SOME GLASS PANES! CRASH! OW! Glass flies everywhere as Hannah rolls around in pain. Having a safe route to the floor, SERO tries a moonsault onto Hannah but Hannah pushes him out of the way, SERO GOES INTO THE GLASS TOO! THEY BOTH HAVE CRASHED INTO THE GLASS AND ARE CUT OPEN! They both keep putting each other through the glass panes until there's only a few left, but neither will stay down long enough for a pinfall. They keep pushing and getting up, fighting through blood and pain to get the win.

The match ended after some more back and forth that saw SERO come out on top. He then stacked some glass panes in the ring, balancing them on two chairs for a big move. SERO lifts Hannah to the top rope and climbs up after her and lifts her onto his shoulders. He's going for something big. HAKUTEIKEN! HAKUTEIKEN! OFF THE TOP! NO! HANNAH SQUIRMS OFF HIS SHOULDERS, EVER PRECARIOUSLY, AND LIFTS SERO UP INTO A HAMMERLOCK CRADLE. AFTERLIFE+! HANNAH JUST DROPPED THEM BOTH THROUGH THE GLASS PANES BUT SERO WENT BACK AND HEAD FIRST! OH GOD! Hannah pulls herself to SERO and just drapes an arm over, and the official counts the pin. One, two, THREE! THE BELL RINGS! HANNAH WINS! SERO HAS BEEN PUT DOWN!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winner of this match and NEEEEEEEEEEEW J-ROK New Wave Champion, HANNAH ROOOOOOOCKFORD!)"

Psycho KGB: "(HOLY SHIT! HANNAH DID IT! HANNAH'S THE CHAMP!)"

MUSHI: "(HARD TIMES HAVE PASSED FOR THE FORMER PRIDE OF SAKURA CHAMPION! SHE HAS CLAIMED GOLD ONCE MORE AND TOOK DOWN ONE OF THE MOST DOMINANT NEW WAVE CHAMPIONS IN HISTORY!)"

Psycho KGB: "(Our resident analyst has determined that SERO's reign ties Alexis Grace and Blake Belladonna's reigns for second longest with the title! Only being beat out by our own Momoko Honda's! I can't believe it!)"

MUSHI: "(I still stand by my statement.)"

Match Three: No Holds Barred Tag Team Mayhem Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit
Tokyo Mass Suicide (Kira Izumi & Yuki Sakaraba) Vs. Die Macht (Darren Myles & Armageddon)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL! And is a no holds barred tag team match! Introducing first, the team of Darren Myles and Armageddon. DIE MACHT!)"

Psycho KGB: "(One of the most despicable groups in Destiny Wrestling history. Die Macht once held every title on the DW board at the same time, as well as contended for ownership of Destiny! These guys are true jerks! While the leader, Rockface Anchorage isn't in attendance, he made sure to send his minions to do his dirty work! Wherever he is, I'm sure he'll be watching this match with great interest.)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And their opponents, the team of Kira Izumi and Yuki Sakaraba. Their first match together after four loooong years, TOKYO! MASS! SUUUUICIIIIIIIDE!)"

MUSHI: "(Listen to the crowd, Psycho! After four years, these two are side-by-side again and the crowd is eating it up! Myles and Calvin stare holes through their former stablemate Yuki, who has finally seen the light and left those toxic asshats! You say Rockface is watching this match with interest and I agree, he wants Myles and Calvin to put Yuki in the hurt locker for betraying them! Yuki is no longer a member of the dark side, she sees the light and Kira's there with her!)"

Yuki and Myles start off the match, Yuki's high flying clashing with the brawling style that Myles exhibits. Yuki puts Myles down a few with some big moves before starting up some quick tags with Kira. Together, they wear Myles down with fast tags and faster, hard hitting moves! Myles is laid out as Yuki tags Kira in and hits Myles with a splash, before Kira climbs up and drops an elbow on the former DW Shooting Star Champion!

Kira begins to lay in with some of the same offense Yuki applied but Myles is fast to put Kira in the ground with a snap-german suplex! He plants Kira on the ground hard before tagging in Armageddon! They begin some tags of their own, stomping on the J-ROK owner and burying him with power moves! Arma squeezes Kira with a bearhug while Myles sneaks around and shoves his thumb in Kira's eye! Kira falls to the ground, holding his face while Arma grins an evil grin!

The match ends as Armageddon puts Kira in a deadly sleeper hold. He holds his hand out to Yuki for help, and for a few seconds she looks conflicted. Was this a ruse? Did Die Macht single out Kira? NO! YUKI RUNS IN AND BLASTS ARMA OFF OF HER FRIEND! AS MYLES COMES IN SHE DROPS HIM WITH A DROPKICK! Yuki drags Kira to her corner and tags herself in, and blasts Myles with some poison mist! He falls out of the ring as Arma gets up and grabs Yuki! She squirms out of his arms and spits some poison mist in his eyes too! Yuki rears back, SUPERKICK ON ARMA! Armageddon collapses in the ring as Yuki makes a successful pin!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winners of this match, TOOOOOOOOKYO MASS SUUUUUUUUUICIIIIIIIIIIIDE!)"

MUSHI: "(YES!)"

Psycho KGB: "(DIE MACHT HAVE BEEN SENT PACKING! ROCKFACE CAN GET OUT OF HERE!)"

After a hard fought war between Die Macht, Tokyo Mass Suicide stand alone in the ring in sweet victory. Their first match in four years showed the world they still had it. Dripping of blood, sweat, and even tears Sakaraba calls for the mic.

Yuki Sakaraba: "(Die Macht! It's over! In the words of my friend and mentor, YER DEAD! But what now? What's the future for Tokyo Mass Suicide? What's the future for Yuki Sakaraba? Well i'll tell you what it is! TMS is here to stay! And sooner than later we're coming for those XHF Tag Team Championships!)"

She hands the mic to Kira.

Kira Izumi: "(That's right! We were victorious tanight, but tanight was only the beginnin'. 'Cause now that we're back, we're gonna be one of the best teams you'll ever see!)"

Kira hands the mic back over to his partner.

Yuki Sakaraba: "(As far as my future goes, though, The dark pulsar is no more. The Kawaii Supernova is back and she's in J-ROK!)"

MUSHI: "(What huge news! A great signing for J-ROK and another top tier team added to the already stacked tag team division!)"

Kira Izumi: "(I hope yer ready, 'cause there's no stopping us now! And White Light II don't think i forgot about you, you punk! I'll be kicking yer ass soon enough! But for now, all i have to say to you is...)"

Both: "(Let the massacre begin!)"

With that, they celebrate in the ring together one final time before leaving.

Match Four: XHF Women's Championship Match; Submissions or KO Only Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit
Deco Vs. Ava Cannon (C.)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the XHF Women's Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, DECO!)"

MUSHI: "(Ava Cannon STOLE the XHF Women's Championship and ran to FWA with it! Well not ran, she was already employed there. But she beat Momoko and now Deco looks to secure it again for J-ROK! Where it belongs dammit!)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And her opponent, the XHF Women's Champion, AVA CANNON!)"

Psycho KGB: "(I share your sentiments but damn MUSHI I've never seen you this emotional before. I dig it. I hope Deco brings it home too.)"

These two would start off their match with a handshake, some respect between these two. They really begin with a bit of a technical display, utilizing some wear-down locks and holds to work on limbs of the other. While neither is technically sound with submissions, that's half the game tonight. The other half falls into their favors as one strike could knock the other out. But since they're proficient in those fields, how about we work some submission based offense? They twist and turn, pull and stump each other's limbs, both working on each other without a clear advantage taker.

Both women would try out a few submissions holds, some basic and some gearing up for big stuff. Seeing these two clash in unfamiliar territory was huge and the crowd ate it up! Neither could quite get the other to tap out so they went back to basics, absolutely whaling on one another with strikes that'd make the most ferocious people cringe in pain.

The end would come with Deco running the ropes, looking for the patented SEOUL STRONG STYLE! But a swift kick to Deco's gut stops her in her tracks, and a CANNON SHOT from the champion takes Deco down! A sickening thud as Deco's head smacked on the mat, and the official would check on her. She raises Deco's hand once, twice, three times! Deco has been knocked out! AVA RETAINS!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winner of this match and STILL XHF Women's Champion, AVA CANNNNNNON!)"

MUSHI: "(DAMN! Ava beat her!)" 

Psycho KGB: "(Deco had heart, but in the end Ava has the gold. And that's the way it'll stay for now.)"

Match Five: J-ROK Super Duos Championship Match; Barbed wire, Ladders, and Explosions Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit
Super Sake Presents: Off The Wagon Vs. SKY Force (Shizuku Yamamoto & Haley Grimes) (C.)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL, and is for the J-ROK Super Duos Championships! Introducing the challengers, Kris Quake and Randy Angel of Super Sake Presents: Off The Wagon!)"

Psycho KGB: "(Quake and Angel have been on a tear, taking up any opportunity they can to get gold! They've yet to be successful but tonight is another night, and this could be the lucky night for them!)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And their opponents, they are the J-ROK Super Duos Champions, they are Shizuku Yamamoto and Haley Grimes of SKY Force!)"

MUSHI: "(Here come the champions and they are confident as ever! They have held on to the Super Duos Championships for nearly a year, freebirding the titles between their members for a while! They are one of the most well-oiled machines within the IJWF and XHF Networks! But can they retain their oiliness tonight?)"

Psycho KGB: "(Ew.)"

The match starts with Yamamoto and Randy Angel kicking things off! Yamamoto shows off her technical prowess in the ring while Randy slams down a 6-pack in record time, like seriously get Guinness to time that! Randy shows off his own mastery of drunken fist, swaying and swerving around the ring before he almost collapses into some technical moves from Yamamoto! 

Angel and Yamamoto fight some more, Randy getting a bit of a comeback before they tag their partners in! Randy is merely a novice of drunken fist compared to Quake, who shows off his real mastery of the art on Haley! Haley unfortunately takes the brunt of the action this round, eating up everything Quake dishes out! She does fight back to the end, but Quake certainly manages to look great putting a dent in the SKY Force armor!

The end came when Yamamoto and Angel got back in the ring! Randy would cockily go for a DRUNK DROPPER, but Yamamoto would counter it with ease and push him off, grabbing his arm and twisting him around for an armbar! A ZUKU DEATH TRAP ARMBAR IN FACT! RANDY STANDS NO CHANCE AND HE TAPS OUT RIGHT AWAY!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winners of this match and STILL the J-ROK Super Duos Champions, Shizuku Yamamoto and Haley Grimes, SKY FORCE!)"

MUSHI: "(SKY Force retains! A tough fought win but Randy and Quake need to get their acts together before they get another shot at these guys!)"

Psycho KGB: "(With endorsements and network deals up the wazoo, the party never stops with SUPER SAKE PRESENTS: OFF THE WAGON.)"

Match Six: IJWF Championship Match; Fans Bring The Weapons Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit
Rin Kubo Vs. Fukushima Zombie (C.)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL and is for the IJWF Championship! Introducing first, representing SKY Force, RIN KUUUUUUBO!)"

MUSHI: "(Fukushima took the IJWF Championship from Nausicaa, and promised to hold onto it until she was able to return. What if Rin beat Fukushima tonight? Imagine a Rin vs Nausicaa match! That'd be fire!)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And her opponent, she is the current IJWF Champion, representing Death Startling. FUUUUUUKUSHIMA ZOOOOOOMBIE!)"

Psycho KGB: "(Regardless how cool that match would be, remember Rin has to beat Fukushima. And that's no easy task. Zombie is one of the most badass members under our payroll, and she leaves it all in the ring every match! These two are in for a fight!)"

This match does not begin like normal. The fans in attendance decide to reenact the ending to ECW Hardcore Heaven by absolutely tossing every weapon they brought, every chair they sit in into the ring. Fuku and Rin had to escape just so they wouldn't be buried in weapons!

After the death rain subsides, Rin and Fuku finally get back in the ring to begin the match. They traverse a rocky terrain, picking up choice weapons along the way and begin to just wail each other with whatever they can get their hands on! Everything from basic weapons like kendo sticks and aforementioned chairs to the sensational glass pane shards from earlier and even a screwdriver! They slash and stab, smack and wack each other to the crowd's content, beating one another senseless!

In the end, Fukushima would climb atop a ladder that was tossed in and nail a SUPER JISATSU SĀKURU! A 1260 Senton from waaaaaay high up! She'd pin Rin and score a win over her rival's protégé!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winner of this match and STILL IJWF Champion, FUKUSHIMAAAAAAAA ZOMBIE!)"

MUSHI: "(Fukushima retains! She remains champion and holds her promise to Nausicaa!)"

Psycho KGB: "(Rin fought bravely, but Fukushima made a promise and she'll make damn sure to keep it to Nausicaa!)"

Main Event: J-ROK Visual Kei Championship Match; Taipei Death Match; 60 Minute Time Limit; 60 Minute Time Limit
Brendan Harding Vs. STRiFE (C.)

Fumio Daemura: "(The following contest is scheduled for ONE FALL and is your MAIN EVENT of the evening! The match is for the J-ROK Visual Kai Championship and has a 60 minute time limit! Introducing first, the challenger. BRENDAAAAAAN HAAAAAAAARDING!)"

Psycho KGB: "(Brendan Harding is waiting for another taste of gold, another piece around his waist. He has been a dominant figure around J-ROK. He nearly won his Block in the King of Hokkaido tournament but "technicalities" fucked him over. But he has his match! This is his time to shine!)"

Fumio Daemura: "(And his opponent, the J-ROK Visual Kai Champion. The baddest bitch in J-ROK, SHE. IS. STRiiiiiiiFE!)"

MUSHI: "(This is STRiFE we're talking about. There's no beating around the bush when you talk about her accomplishments. 546 days and counting as Visual Kai Champion. Pinned once in the last two years. Practically unbeaten around here. Brendan Harding has a literal mountain to climb.)"

The bell rings and Brendan kicks off, using his speed and agility to tackle STRiFE as many have before! She lands strikes where she can but Harding handles it like a pro and throws everything back at her! They toss bombs at one another before Brendan gets the upper hand, backing STRiFE up and beating her down in a corner. He runs the ropes for a speedy power move but STRiFE explodes out of the corner with the velocity of a bullet! Taking Harding's head off with a clothesline!

STRiFE begins a brutal beatdown, taking Harding apart methodically. Violently. It's almost painful to watch. Strikes. Submissions. Stretches. Anything to pull apart Brendan in front of thousands of cheering fans! But he doesn't give up, he fights his way through the pain for the occasional comeback! Here and there he gets a few moves, wear down STRiFE a bit but the champion manages to regain control with ease! But Harding has heart, and fights his way back into this match the hard way!

With that came the end of the match. Harding was given a few close finishes but just couldn't put the champ away. He decided to put it all on the line and brings STRiFE up to the top rope. He lifts her up for ZEN DRIVER ULTRA but STRiFE knees him in the head and PUSHES HIM OFF THE TOP ROPE! SHE THEN JUMPS OFF WITH AN ELBOW TO HARDING'S THROAT! HE GASPS FOR AIR BUT HE'S TOSSED INTO THE WICKED SISTER! HE'S BEING CHOKED OUT AND HIS EYES BUG OUT! HE TAPS OUT! BRENDAN HARDING SUBMITS TO J-ROK'S FINEST!

Fumio Daemura: "(The winner of this match and STILL J-ROK Visual Kai Champion, STRiiiiiiiiiiiiiFE!)"

MUSHI: "(Let's be honest, we knew it was happening. This was inevitable. As much as I'd support Brendan we knew STRiFE the Conquerer was gonna flatline his chances quicker than ever.)"

Psycho KGB: "(Say it ain't so! I wanted him all the way! It's a shame, I got shirts promoting him as the new champ. What'll I do with those now?)"

MUSHI: "(That's your problem to figure out. Sell them to disgruntled fans here? Anyway, that's all the time we have for tonight. Thanks for tuning in to Midnight Pretender! MUSHI and Psycho KGB here, saying goodnight. Goodnight!)"

STRiFE raises the Visual Kai Championship above her head and the feed cuts to black. Not like the normal end feed, but an abrupt cut. Like the lights went out...

{Why did the lights go out?}

“A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEEEEEEEE-E-E-E-ELLLLLL!"

MUSHI: "(WHAAAAAAAAAT?!)"

The lights flash green as the riffs to Reid Henry’s hit single hits the PA system! The Nippon Budokan venue explodes as the music plays, and from the back comes the 2021 King of Hokkaido winner Dylan Black, flanked by Darlene Price and Bigby, who holds the now-defunct FWA Women's Championship. The trio make their way towards the ring like sharks circling in water. 

Psycho KGB: "(DYLAN BLACK IS HERE TONIGHT IN J-ROK! I THOUGHT FOR SURE HE'D BE PREPARING FOR HIS END OF DAYS MATCH BUT HE MADE A DETOUR HERE FOR US!)"

Dylan Black grabs a microphone from someone at ringside and abandons his E.V.E. cohorts, who stand guard at the aisle so these two can be alone. Dylan Black and STRiFE stand face to face in the ring, about a foot apart and both eyeing each other up and down. 

Dylan Black: "(At ease, STRiFE. I do not come here to taunt the hungry lion. You're hot off a brutal match with a young stud, and I'm not going to take the time to beat someone while they're down. Congratulations on your retention, by the way. I instead come out with a proclamation you've heard a dozen times before.)"

Dylan and STRiFE walk around each other in a circle, the Visual Kai Championship over STRiFE's shoulder as she says something to Dylan that's not picked up by the mics.

Dylan Black: "(You intrigue me, STRiFE. Your violent actions, your inability to give a damn about anyone you face. I respect the hustle. It's the same ideology that I follow. I love to just beat the piss out of another person just for the hell of it, and that's what makes a match with you intriguing. And thanks to this...)"

He points to the Xtremetron, where it shows his celebration ceremony for winning the King of Hokkaido tournament just a few months ago.

Dylan Black: "(...I have the very ticket for a match that most people would quiver in their boots over. I enjoy, I WELCOME THE VIOLENCE! And with my King of Hokkaido win, not only does that secure a match with you, I even have the chance to take what you cherish most.)"

Dylan points to the title on her shoulder.

Dylan Black tosses the mic at STRiFE and rolls out of the ring as STRiFE's music plays. She simply raises the Visual Kai Championship in the air and mouths off at Dylan as he walks backwards, returning the mouthing off with an obscene gesture or two!
