Gold D and Red T on his ass with the compass rose in the middle and the Italian Flag on his belt buckle area. Simple black boots, black wrist and hand tape.
Wrestler's Backstage Attire: If he is scheduled for the event, he wears loose jeans and fancy Italian dress shoes as well as any one of his many self-branded T-shirts or hoodies depending on temperature. Always has his shades and bowler hat. If he isn’t scheduled he’s in a custom Armani suit.
History:
Death Trap debuted in ECF in 2002 on the back of a failed baseball career. He immediately took to becoming the top high flyer in the business and won the ECF International title. As he developed as a wrestler he became a massive fan favorite and began to incorporate more power moves into his game. As he matured he became more muscular and eventually eliminated the high flying assault from his game settling on power moves and martial arts. This led to him becoming the savior of ECF when Hardcore Harry tried to kill his own creation. DT led the ECF resistance to Harry’s EWO. DT won the world title from Harry for the fate of ECF. He would hold this title one more time before XHF bought out the ECF in 2003.
DT would join the XHF sporting short hair and a new bowler hat and a more muscular built physique. Over the early days in XHF he would feud with Mongo Corp. and the owner himself. He would be a one time XHF Phoenix Champion which began his legendary career-long feud with Chris Kanyon (he never lost to Kanyon once…) and also with Ishnari (he never beat Ishnari once). He learned to incorporate submissions from his battles with Ishnari. DT eventually turned heel as the Master of Puppets, trying to control everyone around him. His violent streak led to a World title and X*Crown title win but both resulted in either a screwjob or injury due to his new hated attitude. A battle with Venom spawned the egomaniacal side that would become his Main Attraction persona. After a hiatus resulting from losing to Venom he would come back a changed man and try to make amends and just put on shows for the fans and entertainment. Eventually concussions, head injury, and neck injuries forced him out of the wrestling game in 2008.
During the break between the XHF and XHF Network eras DT suffered severe cognitive dysfunction and when the network returned DT was basically insane and was played for comedy by his former enemy Venom in GUNS. He sought experimental treatment which eventually led to a one match return at End of Days 2018. This led to proving he could once again bring it in the ring and with his new dedication to submissions and endurance his career was reborn in MCCW.
He would feud with Eichi Yamaguchi and Jason Justice from day 1 and finished second in the inaugural Gold Rush. He would defeat Eichi at Mastery in Detroit for the first of his 2 MCCW title runs. He would lose this title during his massive run at End of Days competing twice a week in 2019. He would fail to win the X*Crown from Maverick at Supremacy 2020 when Zoran Sainovic won the title and started a nearly 8 month long feud antagonizing the fan favorite. After a star making performance as the iron man and finishing 6th in the 2020 Rumble, DT was invited to SWAT by Zoran to be humiliated again but DT won his match thanks to intervention from Radu Matei. DT would then go on to take the X*Crown from Caffrey after Timeless interfered. He did this after winning his 2nd MCCW world title from Jason Justice, a title he still holds to this day. DT would lose the X*Crown to Rob Arnold at Night of Champions a month later and devoted his time to his tag team with Mistress Discipline, Top of the Class. He returned to the ring in SWAT to pay back the favor to Radu and to bring the fun back to SWAT with his signature brand of entertainment. The Main Attraction … now showing in SWAT
DT is now the last man standing in a war with Armand von Krauss and the KGB. Having removed Eric Dane by spiking his head on the ring steps at the Rumble, DT is looking to get cleared to wrestle again so he can save SWAT from the KGB. Having won victories over the KGB bosses, he has begun to try and influence the next generation again. After an inauspicious send off, he has exited SWAT and returned to the XHF Network talent pool, awaiting the next opportunity
Alignment: Babyfaciest of Baby Faces
Psychological Make-up:
DT knows he is in the downswing of his career, even if it’s still near the peak in terms of performance. His goal is to build up the next generation and continue to give the fans the entertainment they desire. He is the Main Attraction for a reason. He lives up to that moniker. He is methodical in the ring but will taunt to the crowd and get cocky as you do. He no longer allows rage to pilot in the ring. He is stubborn and refuses to admit when he’s beat until the deed is done. He will overtax himself to entertain the fans and has a psychological need for attention.
Entrance Theme: Shoulders by Coheed and Cambria
Wrestler's Entrance:
*The lights dim, red and gold strobe lights dart around the darkened arena. The soft ten second guitar intro to ”Shoulders” by Coheed and Cambria plays. The Xtremetron has come to life when the lights dimmed and displays "And now … the XHF Network presents … its MAIN ATTRACTION!" A foot shatters the screen as the heavy guitar riff rocks the arena. Video clips begin playing showing Death Trap shoving Rally Jackson off the scaffold, spiking Joanne Canelli on her head, and tapping out Armand von Krauss in Japan. The first verse sets in as the screen flips to DT tapping out Jason Justice and being handed the MCCW World title for the second time.
"Listen now that I've got your attention, Got to let you know. I hate to see you go, now that you're gone we can enjoy the show. When you find them laughing at you there's no worse thing"
DT slowly walks into a red spotlight on the stage with his head down hidden under a hoodie. It's black and has his custom interlocking DT logo with an Italian flag and mariners compass on it on the back. He stands in the spotlight and slowly looks up showing off his signature bowler hat and sunglasses under the hood. The screen shows images of his victories over Alexis Grace, Duke Kosloff, Ai Moe, and Jeremiah Vastrix all split screen one per corner all in his signature 'Death Trap' Dragon Clutch finisher. It then flashes to him holding the EOD 2019 briefcase over his head. It quickly transforms into him getting three pinfalls over Anthony Caffrey and being handed the X*Crown facemask before wiping into an image of DT posing with his custom X*Crown belt, the ECF title with a big bad X on it.
"Hey … my wicked eyes do see that I'm the one with the world on my shoulders"
He slowly pushes the hood back revealing a serious face as he lowers his sunglasses before pulling them off and placing them in his hoodie pocket as he gazes around the sold out crowd. The strobe lights turn blue and move faster around the arena as he soaks in the adoration of the XHF faithful.
Ring Announcer: "Making his way to the ring, hailing from Seattle, Washington, standing at 6'4" and weighing in at 260 pounds, he is the XHF Legend … former two time X*Crown Champion … The Main Attraction ... DEATH TRAP!"
"You're going out of your way just to keep me down. Maybe we weren't made for each other, and I'm just the one you can keep around"
He unzips the hoodie as he moves towards the ring and drops it to the floor as he reaches the ring steps. He stops on the ring steps to look out at the crowd. He climbs to the apron and spins, hooking his arms over the top rope. A blue spotlight illuminates DT in the ring as the strobes die down. The Xtremetron shows “Stealing the show, one match at a time.” He points out to the crowd and amps them up before stepping through the middle rope and running to the opposite side, grasping the top rope as he steps onto the bottom rope and points out at the crowd again. He steps to the center of the ring and removes his hat, tossing it to the timekeeper, before stretching on the ropes and cracking his neck and knuckles, waiting for the bell.*
List up to three strengths your character possesses:
1. Endurance/Stamina – he takes a crazy beating and keeps coming
2. Submissions – he is very studied in submissions and can and will reverse any move into a submission
3. Ring awareness – he is a student of the game and always knows where the players in a match are at any moment and uses this experience to tilt the scales in his favor
List up to three weaknesses:
(For every strength, you must have at least one weakness.)
1. Cocky as a motherfucker – he will taunt and bluster and frequently leaves himself open for retaliation and punishment
2. Pandering – the fans are his whole reason for still doing this. He will sometimes taunt or choose to do something more entertaining to keep the fans into it. And will act to his own detriment sometimes to get the fans going.
3. History of head trauma – He is especially vulnerable to strikes to the head and this presents as a way to derail a barrage or comeback, and frequently shows up in his losses being to bridging moves that cause his head to bounce. He frequently loses to bridging Germans, northern lights suplexes and spinebusters as he is unable to shake the head shock quick enough to avoid a 3.
4. He doesn’t play hardcore well. He is ok with a baseball bat but otherwise he is not really a fan of weapons and will play the disadvantage in weapons based affairs.
