David Berg is fresh from the dinner at the Rosensteins. Gefilte fish with horseradish. Yum Yum. Lox. Beef and potatoes. The calorie intake was necessary. Walking back to his apartment and listening to this song by some pop star Olivia Rodrigo called Good 4 U, Berg is chilling as Americans say. That is one angry teenager, thinks Berg as the song is interrupted by a call from Management. Berg sighs and answers.
Management: Mr. Berg, how are you?
Berg: I am well and you?
Management: Excellent. You had a terrific performance and not only Got over you also went over.
Berg: Oh no, not this again.
Management: Stop it. You did a phenomenal job. Did you hear the fans?
Berg: I must admit, the cheers were welcoming. And I kid. The advice was most welcome and I am glad I was able to execute.
Management: The Twitter followers for Israel went up significantly as many wanted to see who you were and what country you represented. You made Israel proud.
Berg: That is great to hear.
Management: But now you must go to the next step. Mr. Berg please keep in mind that you are on mile 10 of a 1000 mile journey.
Berg: That is a long journey.
Management: Long and treacherous. You have learned the Go over and Get over aspect and now you must learn the aspect of self marketing and self promoting.
Berg: Self promoting?
Management: Yes. You must push for bigger matches and eventually championships and even looks from other federations to truly increase your name recognition and of course the glory of Israel.
Berg: Understood. So in terms of self promotion. Specifically what do you mean?
Management: Well you need to self promote. See what CJ Walker did?
Berg: I did.
Management: And he is in the main event.
Berg: So I should follow that road map?
Management: Not specifically but as you can see it garnered him visibility and of course main event opportunities.
Berg: Interesting. So I should whine?
Management: Whine?
Berg: CJ Walker is whining is he not?
Management: What?
Berg: Well he whined about his loss. He whined about his opportunities. He whined about Jester LeBeau. Is whining considered self promoting in this business? Should I state that I will be taking bookings elsewhere and then hold my breath until I get my way?
Management: No. We do not want the Judean Warrior to whine.
Berg: You told me to use the CJ Walker roadmap?
Management: Hold on….
Berg: OK?
Management: Never mind. Do not follow that road map.
Berg: So then whining is not an option.
Management: NO! We will recalibrate and get back to you.
Berg: Is it possible to allow me to make informed decisions and self market as I see fit?
Management: Do not be silly young man, we will lead the way. We just need to recalibrate. Now what are your plans for the Crimson Mask.
Berg: My plan is to beat the crazy out of him.
Management: Harsh. We support the methodology.
Berg: As I understand it this Crimson Mask believes he is a Demon or possessed by a Demon. Whatever it is, he doesn’t realize that all my life I have been fighting real Demons. Islamist terrorists. They were trained and tried to kill me. The Crimson Mask is going to come at me with whatever his deranged mind says he needs to defeat me. He will try his best I am sure.
Management: Excellent. We are also seeing massive inflation in the US. We are increasing your monthly stipend by $500.
Berg: Much appreciated.
Management: The monies are to be spent on food and relaxation to ensure that mind and body are at their optimum and of course feel free to add to your ring attire.
Berg: Understood.
Management: Mr. Berg we are glad you understand your journey. Self promotion is critical please make sure to continue to get over and ensure that you are in a Main Event picture sooner than later.
Berg: Main Event? I have had four matches! What happened to mile 10 of a 1000 mile journey.
Management: Mr. Berg, we aren’t saying tomorrow but do keep your eye out.
Berg: Of course
Management: Good night Mr. Berg
Berg hangs up the phone as his phone begins playing Michael Jackson’s Earth Song. A pretty relaxing song things Berg as the scene fades.
