So I've noticed it here and elsewhere that the word "booking" can be a bit confusing in efeds. Because you "book" matches; and then later the admins "book" the match. We're currently using it for "making a match official" and "deciding the winner."
I say that we change that. Efedding is still relatively "new" (it's as old as the internet anyway) so I don't think anyone will complain if we replace one instance of "book" with another word. Any recommendations?

I think the difference is mostly pedantic. I mean, I don't think that people honestly think they can choose who if they can win or lose.
Greg and I don't even have the power to say, "Yep, I win this match I'm in."

Actually, some feds have the members vote on each match; and other feds (called angle feds) have basically every match as a work so the people build every aspect including the match finish

Now that you mention it, I was suggested this during the construction of AWF. I said no.

Well book implies to schedule something to happen so I would assume you change the "book a winner" to ... script? Judge? Oobleckify?

It's difficult because it means a different thing if you're speaking English or Wrestling. I'm leaning the same way Dave is. The people who put up the card will also be the bookers in the sense that they handle creative requests, the style of the company and the arrangement of the show in general. Whereas the people who book matches (decide results) are more likely to be those uninvolved in that process (eg any time someone who puts up the card is featured on the card.) Judge is as good a word as any. As a verb rather than the Judge Greg sense, though I'm down with some kind of title that's so pretentious no one can take it seriously like Kingmaker.

Judging is good. I like that.
You book a match for the card, then Judge the winner.
Though then again, "Judging" a match sounds a bit like you're gonna score it out of 10 for writing style.
Settle the match? Work the match? Work could... work. The match gets booked (made official) and then the admins discuss the finish, like "how shall we work this?"
Regarding angle feds... they're fun (but a pain to write for as you can't always objectively say "this guy deserved to win because...") but as far as participating, they can be a bit hit-and-miss because you can put in loads of effort or none at all and come out with the same result if the booker has a plan they really want to go with. RPing gives you back some control, or at least it feels like it does.
